It is called baby eczema. A mixture of sheabutter and sudocrem clears it. Coconut oil works too.
A number of things could trigger it such as heat., detergent etc.

Please don't be angry, is the 8500 for both. Shebi meningitis is the same as meningococcal vaccine? Cos I paid 10k for it and 12k for chickenpox that's 22k total. My body is already doing me somehow.

The #8500 is for each vaccine i.e. 17k in total for the two.
Meningitis vaccine is the same as meningococcal vaccine.
Dont let your body do you anyhow, God has provided the money already...just thank Him for provision.

Please my baby's BCG site came out after like 5 weeks. She's now 10 weeks and the thing is still swollen like a little stump although the 'face' is dried up and healed. It doesn't give her pain or anything. I just don't like seeing it looking swelled up like it just came out freshly.

Is it eventually going to flatten out some day or that is how it's gon be? Or rather what do I do to make it go down?

The swelling will go down on its own. It's nothing to worry about.

Cous cous is BAE. I always had a sauce base in my freezer and couscous was my lazy mama dish!

All you need to prepare it is boiling water ( not on the fire) just enough to cover it and A knob of butter. Cover it and let it steam.

Then you can use any sauce!

Make it like fried rice - stir fry your veg and add the cous cous to it.

Make tomato sauce ( onion+ tomato) plain, with sardine, Titus, chopped chicken, or other meat. And add to your couscous.

For younger babies.. just blend your sauce or veggie base and add to your cous cous

The ultimate lazy meal was blended sweet corn a knob of butter and couscous. Like seriously boiling the water was the longest part.

I didn't make for any of my babies but I do see some parents pack it for theirs.

My way is boil water and add couscous for a few minutes and drain. You can also make the water just a little so it dries offinsyead of draining. Cover to keep steam in but be careful so it doesn't get soggy and turn to EBA
Then for babies, you can go ahead to make as fried rice. With your fried veggies and add to the frying pan .
Or you can eat with baked beans (the child really loved this cos the baked beans was runny and made the couscous stick together).

How to make it
U either boil the water or stir from start
Buh it's cool to stir from start to avoid koko #pardon me I forgot d English words # just like how u make watery semo u can add crayfish,fish greenpea al those mende mende , u can add pepper if u lo is taken it and season and lil butter.

Depending on ur couscous there are some that have been processed I.e steam all u need is to boil water add little butter or oil tgen pour in gradually

I make mine with vegetables.
For a baby, you can blend the carrots and peas or just add soft peas and carrot if your baby can chew it.
Melt little butter in a pot, pour in the vegetables and fry for few mins, add water, allow to boil, add couscous and cook for 3 to 5 mins. You can add grounded fish and crayfish like that augustsecret’s own. You can use beef stock or chicken.
My children like it. Now that they are older, I prepare it with turmeric powder and shredded chicken or beef and meat balls.

I'm clapping for her...she takes eba and ogbono soup.
Abeg, keep up with what she likes so you dont get stressed.

Gradually, she will start taking other new foods without plenty drama.
Have you tried rice? I just found out my son enjoys it (fried rice more especially) though it must be very soft.

Another thing i discovered is that giving them food with spoon sef can be wahala. I mostly use my hands these days and drama is more manageable.

Happy new month mothers, my 11 month old baby has refused to take solid oooo, no matter how much I try, he will vomit it. I have tried so many foods, from Amala and ewedu, semo and ewedu, sweet potatoes and eggs, sweet potato and chicken, sweet potato and carrot puree, rice and banana puree, banana and avocado puree, beans and so many. The only one he agreed to take out of all of them is just the sweet potato and carrot puree.

And he take formula, pap and cereal. Please mothers, how do I get him to eat this food as he is not adding weight, though he is walking around now oooo but he seems very tiny. Any ideas

Keep giving him what he likes but don't stop trying out new foods with him especially when you are eating.

You can equally sneak some of those foods e.g banana into his cereal in little quantities.(pls do this only when you are the one feeding him)

In addition, stop combining foods for now, one food at a time. If trying potato, let it be potato only not with egg or chicken. If giving egg, let it be only egg (fried or boiled) like you mentioned.

If his weight is becoming much of a bother, see a pead/nutritionist.

Ensure you buy original chicco from a reputable store. There are 2 types in the market. One sells for 500-700 while the other types sells for 1200-1500.

all will be well. I think you should let her be admitted for close monitoring. Sepsis shouldn't be taken lightly.

What can I use for my DD temperature, she's 23months? We've been on admission since Thursday and was discharged yesterday afternoon, the lab result showed malaria and infection. Yesterday night she started running temp that we wrapped her up with towel after pouring water on her and was taking turn to change the towel. Her temperature went from 38.8-37 yesterday night and I noticed she's cutting out her 2nd molar. We went to see a pediatrician this morning, he gave her injection for the fever, took her blood sample for another test and gave us Para, told us to stop ibuprofen. Told us he's suspecting sepsis, hubby is blaming me, her school and anything blameable.

Please is the new tooth the cause of the fever or my pregnancy(I'm 30+weeeks gone)? How can I stop the fever kpatakpata cos I'm tired

Pele. She will be fine. tell oga to take am easy with you. Just use the meds as prescribed by the doctor. I'm quite sure it will be mainly antibiotics.
She might have picked the infection from just anywhere. It is not your pregnancy that is causing anything...you that wee soon born except she is counting weeks with you and know she wee soon get attention rival.

Newborns fly well but they usually don't recommend anything less than 2-3 weeks because most doctors don't want you exposing that fragile, low-immunity human to a world of germs so soon. But that is a choice you must make. I think you should call ahead after buying your ticket and ask for a travel bassinet. They usually give first come, first served and I've actually not even seen once used in a Domestic flight here. So call and confirm you can by one. If not, you may be told to buy an extra seat for a carseat. You have to give your baby some sort of liquid when taking off due to the change in pressure (feed it or have the baby suck on something). Or the child will scream in pain and be miserable because their ears are popping. The younger, the easier air travel is. They will sleep as newborns but dance around as toddlers.

The most important thing last: You should ask your doctor to clear you for travel after your surgery. Someone we know had her baby, flew back (domestic) a few days or a week after and died 2 hours after getting home. Stress. My mum got to her place to greet her and the baby and met everyone trying to resuscitate her. She had waited long for that child and rushed home, I don't know why. Her husband cried whilst stuck in traffic trying to reach her. Surgery is not something to mess with.

If you are using a baby carrier do be mindful and ensure you have fully healed as most carriers will strap across your waist/ lower abdomen if you are unsure or are still quite tender consider using a car seat on a buggy frame. The airline should be able to check this in for you at the door of the plane and return it to you when you get off the plane at your destination at no additional cost.

You can also carry the car seat with you on board and If the seat next to you is available you should be able to use it on board when the seat belt signs get turned off. If there is no space the car seat should fit in the overhead storage. If it doesnt, they will take it from you and put into the hold!.

If you are travelling alone, do consider how you will drag baby and carseat plus hand bag or luggage into the plane. If You are travelling with hubby or someone else... give them the carrier to use! Or let them do all the heavy lifting!

1. I have an Avent manual pump and it works fine..but you might want to get an electric pump if you're going to pump often.
2. As soon as your comfortable and can sit up without any discomfort and your stitches have healed.
3. Babies can travel as early as two weeks old.
4. By carrier do you mean the baby carrier or a car seat. Anyway you'll be carrying you baby on your lap except you plan on purchasing a seat for him, you'll have to use a car seat.
A carrier to use around the airport is fine and no specifications.

About your son's weight, I think you need to deal with your fears as he's old enough to take mashed foods while at the creche except if you're not sure if his handlers at the creche are capable.

why not try out pureed fruits, mashed potato, fried eggs etc for a day or two and ask for a report when you pick him up.
I've never used AS/BG foods so can't say anything on that.
pediasure is recommended for children who are 2yrs and above.

give our boy food o and leave fear fear alone...

This looks more like a reaction.
try and get original coconut oil/shea butter for cream.
I use sebamed baby soap for my ds and we've been without skin issues from birth.
