First, have you checked your baby with a specialist?

Take note of the symptoms you have noticed. It is important that you seek advice from your doctor if you suspect that your baby has an allergy/sensitivities so that they can be properly diagnosed and treated.

Changes to a baby's diet should only be made on the advice of a doctor please.

1. Good evening mamas please what I can I use to treat this boil like rash on my son's head and neck (pix attached). We have used sudocream and different ointment yet it keeps coming back when it goes.

A similar issue was recently discussed. It is better to visit your doctor especially a dermatologist since you have tried different ointments without getting results. One mama also mentioned she used supirocin ointment apart from antibiotics prescribed by her doctor.Have you tried that too?

2. My children are 16 weeks I want to start them on pap can I add crayfish to the Pap and formulae combo? What are the thing I should add?

6months is usually recommended for complimentary feeding. You may wish to wait till then. Their milk feeds is sufficient for them once they are taking the right amounts. Meanwhile, for complimentary feeding,it is better to introduce them to one food at a time. You give the same food for 3/4days while watching out for any reaction.

3. Someone gave us some jar foods containing beef and beef broth (pix attached) can we eat it like that or we add we something.

Have you tasted the foods yourself? Do you like it? Check the jars, is the food recommended for their age?

Please I know food has been discussed severally on the thread make una just help me pls.

Give tummy time by placing her on her tummy a couple of times during the day. Circle her legs in a bicycle motion whilst on get back, gentle rub her tummy, burp her after each feed, carry her on your shoulder with her tummy pressed on your shoulder. Then endure till she's 3-4 months old when she'll outgrow it. Good luck.

my dear, we r in dis togeda,, i first bought gripe water den my sil said nospamin which i bought, i was given him with caution bur no significant improvement so i went to d hospital yesterday to complain, nd told d doctor what i was guven as recommended by my mil,, she said, baby doesnt need all of dat cos dey rilli dont do anything to stop d pain, its a natural phase nd dry eill out grow it,, she even said some babies were admitted cos dey reacted to nospamin nd gripe water contains alcohol,, so i hv packed up d 2drugs,, nd i believe soon baby will outgrow d pain... i advice u leave ur baby..

Patience is the name of the cure o.

In the meantime, give her a gentle tommy massage to ease the pains. Check youtube for videos.

Some mothers swear by infacol, gripe water etc but it didnt work for us.

You can also watch what you eat such as reducing your dairy intake,beans.gassy foods generally.

Lemme look for more posts where this issue has been dealt with.

Thanks, these nubs flasks sound interesting I'd check them out cuz mines are getting old.
The partitioned flasks would be for snacks, some of which I'd like to keep warm. My apple purees always turn a scary dark red colour after about an hour, how do you prevent that please.

Dont you think if you keep all the snacks together, the warm ones will affect the cold ones as in making them sweat or go soft.
Some of your snacks will work well with a ziploc bag e.g. bread

As per the pureed apple turning brownish/reddish, its nothing to worry about. Its called an oxidation process.
If it were to be an adult, I will recommend adding a dash of lemon juice to keep its natural color for a longer time.

Please is anyone using these kind of lunch boxes in the pictures attached below and does it keep food warm and where can I get it if it does.

Secondly, for those with one year olds, what do you typically pack as food for them for day care, I'm running out of ideas and how often do they eat in a day. Jazzyjazz, hunniesuzzie, Enque, Zaynie, Queensnow, Alphahandmaiden.

The pic of the lunch box you posted will only be ideal for snacks in my opinion. What if the food bag or bowl itself tips,all the foods will now get mixed together.

I use nuby bowls with cover. It comes as 4pcs in a pack.

3"sure banker"foods are pap, apple puree and boiled plantain

The other meal is varied (either basmati rice with stew/ boiled fish/fried egg with carrots /sweet potato porridge).

For snacks, we do banana or 1 slice bread or biscuit

He still takes milk too so we go with 3bottles of 120ml milk.

Hi mamas, is there any special reason to get shoes for babies that are yet to sit or crawl or anything. I mean my baby is 3 months. my hubby keeps complaining that he sees some babies wearing shoes but I never do for ours whenever we go out. I think its a waste of money, when she's not even using the feet to stand yet? Or why do those mothers wear shoes for their babies, am I missing something please? I only wear popsocks or regular socks.

Shoes for babies that are yet to walk is just for fancy. Nothing special and it is different strokes for different folks.

I've seen some socks that have sth like a shoe attached though I never used them myself.

In case you end up buying shoes, 1or2 is just ok.
Buy a very good one that you can keep for your other babies so you don't need to keep buying. I remember my momma having one unisex shoe that myself and my siblings used for outings while we were babies.

Baby that one has to carry upandan, shoe will add extra weight jor.
As for me, I did not buy until we were about clocking 1. I only bought socks like kilode.

If daddy wants to buy shoe for his daughter, let him buy o...

I once read that goldenmorn is not recommended for your daughter's age group so its better not to give her yet. Its for much older kids though some parents don't subscribe to that sha. _{In my opinion, cerelac maize is the baby version of golden morn.}

I remember how I fit toss upandan bed while sleeping on the bed as a little girl. Many a times, i will meet myself on the floor before I realise say na sleep i dey sleep.

If space is not a constraint, adult bed is not a bad idea. You can customize the headboard and footboard to complement the room design.
The funniest thing is that over the years say 10/15yrs, you may even get bored with what you have in your house and do a makeover all over again.

Why are you using abidec?
Was it prescibed by your doctor or your mummies?

To the best of my knowledge, its not necessary. All the nutrients your baby needs for now is contained in your breastmilk. Feed your baby well. Maintain good hygiene and you will see your baby grow healthy and happy.

On the two kinds of abidec, there is the imported and made in naija version. The imported one is quite expensive and you will usually get in big pharmacy shops while the naija version sells for about #300.
I've not had cause to use it so I cant comment on the quality of the content.
