Blender.
Pick out only d leaves without stick. Wash and Cook with small 'kaun' till it's soft and pour into ur blender. Blend roughly till it draws. u can add ur locust bean with small salt before or after blending.Be sure ur blender can withstand d heat ist ooo so it doesn't crack. Been doing dis for d past 6 years and it always come out great.

You can equally blend before cooking sef. blend with little water (that's the trick to getting it to draw) and pour into pot to cook. adding kaun(potash) is optional in case one does not like it. It will still draw very well. remove from fire when the ewedu starts bubbling well.

Your breastmilk contains all your baby needs to be strong and healthy. Just ensure your baby is eating well. There's really no need for the multivitamin and vitamin c but trust mummies with "you children of nowadays" talk.

Of all of them, I only know Allen junction and I don't see any market there. Thanks for this long list tho, I'd find one, Biko are u sure these people actually have moi moi leaves cuz I sent someone to check some markets and she claimed she couldn't find

Tell the person you sent to ask for ewe (leaf) moimoi. it is readily available in those markets I listed cos they are quite big. The market at Allen junction is behind where alade market used to be before. You will need to ask for directions. The ipodo market in ikeja is quite close to Ikeja under bridge.t hose tricycles going to opebi/toyin street usually park near there sef.

If you're not too keen on using the leaves,use foil paper or packs. It comes out fine too.

I am still working on getting all the areola in while breastfeeding... my nips are quite big...so its being hard geting the nips and areola in as well. Thanks for the advise, will keep working on the latching.

Since your nips are quite big, all the areola can't go in. A little bit of it is all you need to get the milk ducts flow properly.

in the interim, when you're not breastfeeding, rub shea butter on your tips. It helps too.

If mucus plug is a mixture of egg white and blood, then I saw mine today with mild contraction after walking for an hour plus. Am yet to time it though.

Praise God....get your confinement stuff ready and get set for the real deal in a matter of hours. prepare to check in to the hospital and If your hospital is close by, you may go to have yourself checked.

less than 2wks or there about. The good thing about the cream is that you get almost instant relief cos the lanolin soothes/helps to heal and you do not have to wash it off before feedings/expressing using a pump

I learnt that the free center is only in Somolu for now cos it's a pilot scheme and also sponsored by an organisation.

cost implication for Rotavirus generally is between 7k-9k.

Mamas in ikeja/ogba environs will confirm hospitals.

I have a bit of a challenge though. .my nips are sored from brestfeeding .the right one hurt so bad, I cnt even bf her on it again...how long will it take for them to heal and is there anything I can use to relief the pain..pls help a mama out

Please advise,
My baby isn't latching to my breast properly, but she's desperately trying to suck. The moment my nipple gets close, she starts suckinh and licking just the surface. She doesn't wait for it to enter her mouth before she closes it. Worse still, I'm not even lactating. I was hoping her sucking would pull out the milk from where its hiding. But she's not latching well. It's almost 48 hours of no food, and I'm so unhappy especially that I can't satisfy her hunger when she cries.

I've drank a lot of pap, milk, tea, so I can lactate, but nothing yet.

Also, it appears I have a large nipple, a little bigger than her lips.

Most importantly is HOW CAN I MAKE HER LATCH PROPERLY

If your princess hasn't been able to eat well in the last 48hrs. pls supplement with milk formula in the mean time abeg while she learns to latch properly gradually.
Once she gets a hang of it, you can stop the formula if you want to EBF.

check on youtube for videos that will guide you with the latching process. its basically ensuring that your aerola gets inside her mouth and not just your nipple. This will help her not to be sucking air which can make her gassy.
also get your breast pump preferably electric to express milk for her.
relax your mind too.

Other things the grannies made me try out when I wasn't lactating after I birthed:

wash your nipples with sugar salt solution.
massage with shea butter mixed with mentholatum.
stop when you see the colostrum coming out.

Having read senior mama's experiences, I made up my mind when i birthed not to discuss my baby's milestones with nosey pple just looking for gist. I have also taken time to educate myself via various baby sites on what to expect from my lo from time to time. This helps me to put my mind at ease and also shut down the "itooknows" around me.

Don't permit anyone to frustrate you and torture your baby with bad mouth. Some pple will take style to abuse you sef in the name of talking to your baby like an adult.

my ds too didn't like staying on his own. he will sit inside walker for just 2mins and start yelling and I detest noise. I jejely carry him upandan the house to enjoy peace and quiet. he's 10mths+ now and I can see he's gradually learning how to play by himself.

What's your weekly meal plan for him like?
I know oats is good for bowel movement so you may wish to give lots of that while you do just as the doctor adviced.
In addition, juicing his vegetables and fruits will help and assure you he's getting all the nutrients.

He's not having trouble breathing, I just don't like the sound.

It's nothing to worry about since he doesn't have trouble breathing. he's just a loud sleeper. (There are times the sound seems he's snorting or grunting sef). he will stop it with time but dat sound can scare somebody sha. I used to worry myself sick whenever my ds made that sound.
try and change his sleeping position when he does that and check that he's not overly exposed to cold.

Mummy's rejoice with me,my prince came out on 18th,@ 5:45pm,weight 3.2kg immediately I reach hospital it didn't take me 2mins my prince jumped out,doctors and nurses were surprise, i asked God for easy delivery,he answerd me,I don't know how I will thank this God..may God make it esay to all the pregnant women in this thread

3months is way too early to start on pap for your baby please. milk formular is very sufficient. just follow instructions on the tin. you have so many to choose from.e.g. nan, sma gold, aptamil etc.

You may never know until you try.milk formulas taste different from one another. I had to try 3 different types of formula for my ds before he settled for the one I give him presently. We tried Nan, smagold, cow&gate. It is the cow&gate that he took readily. All others na me

Have you tried another brand of formula apart from the one you're using presently?
I asked this cos she might not like the one you're giving her.
