I dialed *142*21# on my MTN line and the respond I got was with #1000 I will get #3875 worth of airtime and 320.50mb valid for 30days, I concluded that it was a fair deal at least I will be able to exhaust it within the validity period, just for me to subscribe to it this morning and I was only given 14days validity. Called their customer care line and it was confirmed that it is only valid for 14days. What type of deception is this MTN? Who will I call with almost #4000 for 14days. MTN why not be straight forward with your customers ?

@JideSM, Pls I want you to clarify something for me....in MTN Ilorin outlet, a welcome back is charged at #550 and you will be given a recharge card of #400 along with the welcome back Sim but that isn't the case (welcome back Sim but no recharge card) in their Surulere Outlet in Lagos despite them charging same price.

I am registering my complain here to any MtN staff out there, I was on my own when MtN sent me an unsolicited massage saying load #1000 and get #4000 to make call valid for one month dail *142# I said okay I went I loaded the 1k only for them to redirect Me to another code of *142*21#, why is that fair? I am seriously angry at this kind of fraud and I ask that they do the needful and allow me subscribe to the first information that made me recharge. The Callerfeel service allows you express yourself through short messages that will appear on your callers phone screen when they call your line. It can be however be deactivated by sending STOP to 50016. Thank you

My Mtn line is 08164229076, yesterday 02/06/2016 around 7pm I loaded an Mtn recharge card of #1000 and I was given a bonus credit of #2000. But this morning I wanted to make some business calls and I checked my bonus credit and discovered everything has been wiped off, I have called the Mtn customer care centre and they told me my complain was confirmed to be true and that they would forward my line to the back-end engineers for my bonus credit to be reverted. But up till now am yet to receive my credit.Pls I want the appropriate authority in Mtn to look into this issue and help me roll back my credit.

The bonus was used for browsing on your line, as seen in the records. The beta talk bonus is to be used up first before any bundle or the main account is used either for browsing, calls and SMS. Your browsing from 8.49pm on 2nd till 11pm was via the bonus and 10MB bonus given to you not the 1.5Gb which you activated. I was happy when I heard that MTN has increased #1000 plan to 1.5Gb. I subscribed for this data last week and I was giving 1. 5Gb data.
I started using it, until Thursday 2 when it stopped. I checked my data balance and I was told that I have exhausted my data. What! Within a week? I did not stream line video online. I only use it for whatsapp and browsing web pages.
I have called their customer care line but they did not pick. I regretted subscribing to this new MTN data.

I am sorry you could not use the N25 night browsing data. However, the night data works so also the N500 for 1GB data on your phone. Simply dial *103# valid for 7days or dial *131# to select from MTN data bundle option. Note you have to be on MTN Pulse plan to enjoy it. Thank You

I subscribed for the #500 for 1gig on Saturday 28th of May, come yesterday I couldn't surf the internet at all! Getting an error message, like the message I'd get if I have no data. I called their incompetent Custer care, she asked me to switch off my phone while my data is on and switch on my phone again. I did all she suggested but to no avail. This morning I called again, and the customer care lady couldn't solve the issue.

My data will expire in just 2days time!!!! I still have enough data and I intend to use it before it expires. If my data doesn't works, then I have just wasted my money and it only proves that the 1gig for #500 is only a scam since it will get to a point where one would be stopped from using the data till it expires or till one renews it.

On Sunday, I went for a retreat and later in the evening I needed to make a very urgent call, with little or no fund on my line i decided to purchase a #100 airtime. After loading the card I decided to make the call but was getting the beeping sound that signifies not reachable. Tried couple more times and still the same, decided to wait for some time by then it was already dark. Tried calling other numbers but the same response persist, out of curiosity I reluctantly decide to check my balance and to my surprise not a single kobo was left on my account.
Called the customer care to complain and the representative told me I have been charged for a value added tariff of which I never subscribe and don't even know the service it renders thereafter apologising that my money is gone. I further took a step to complaints on their what'sapp contact aand they told me the same thing and that they can't find the records of the subscription when I also them what the service was all about.
They also told me the service has been on my line for weeks, I begin to wonder when mtn became so generous that they will wair for weeks after subscribing before they deduct their service charge and for the records am a prepaid customer meaning I get to pay before services are rendered.
Up until now I haven't received a message telling me have been subscribed to a service as they normally do, up until now I haven't seen or received any message on sport, health, entertainment etc. that shows that there is an active value added services on my line. They have been deducting airtime on my line from time immemorial but have kept my cool simply because the amount was minute and this case wasn't different, but if am to quantify it in respect of the urgency I needed it at that particular time then I will say it's very significant. Now I can't load on that line cos I don't know what they might come up with.
The NCC need to look into the matter of service providers especially MTN. Since they have been slammed the fine, the subscribers have been the one to pay for it through illegal charges.

it happened that I loaded a 800 recharge card on my sim on Monday 30th may.Mtn deducted 55naira out of the money for an unknown reason,I kept my calm I didn't call them since I had much more on my sim.I slept and woke up the following day to transfer 200 to a friend of mine only to discover that they have deducted 400naira.I called the customer care to know the reason and after waiting for over 16 minutes,a girl finally picked up.I explained my plight to the girl and she told me I subscribed for some plans.music plus,SME VP device bundle of a thing which I didn't subscribed to.I told her to deactivate it for me and I asked about a refund and she said no refund could be made.I was dumbfounded about this act of injustice.The plan which I didn't use nor suscribe for and was charged out of my money.am sure if had been other networks they would made a refund.The money is not the problem but i just want people to know what this network provider is extirting us Nigerians.
