Homesexuality is not a crime. It is a curse. You have to be a completely ignorant person to support laws against gays. Govt has absolutely no right to outlaw a possible genetic or mental defect. Is sicle cell disease a crime?. Is dwarfism a crime?. A lot of Christians are going to hell because of the wrong attitude to gays. You should be praying and interceding for gays. Deliverance is possible. Don't judge, don't ostracize or you are falling into the devils trap.

Childish, silly, video game mentality carried too far. UCAV technology is not mature. Maybe the Americans get more operational reliability based on more rigorous pre mission maintenance. The days of putting UAVs in the air and shooting missiles or deploying them in a swarm are still far in front of us
Foreign Affairs / Re: American Politics Thread - 2024 Elections — Biden’s Presidency! by Jimi24: 8:38pm On Jun 21, 2020
The Nigerian youth is wasted.
14 year olds (US kids) not eligible to vote punked the US's outdated racist President and wrecked his Oklahoma event. The smart kids pre-booked seats online to and did not show up and wrecked the event.

This is the 70-soething year old racist and relic of the Playboy Magazine era that some young dummies in Nigeria here are turning to a god on policies that would even shame a 1960 southern US conservative.

A 14 year old in the US looks into the future and sees a dynamic, fused, exciting multi cultural global village. A Nigerian youth however looks at the future and sees tribal conflict yet same guy wants to move to Canada or Europe to spend a significant part of his life.

You have to think clearly and get the doctrine. That involves being able to think.

About 25% of Americans actually support Trump now. Only 15% would actually turn up to vote for him. He himself is tired, bored and feels incapable with the office and would say and do outrageous things till November so people can vote him out.

On thing that is sure is that the man has deep contempt for those who love and support him and will sabotage his own re election in November.
Just watch events carefully.

Chinese/turkish drones ain't expensive
We just too blind to get 'em

The man talked about operational reliability. Getting them to work everyday, day and night. We need to stop thinking like amateurs and start using real thinking. Also, the waiting time for drones from Turkey is +2years, Operational time is maybe 3 years. Nigeria could get something developed within that time frame.

The idea that there is equipment just waiting in a showroom for pickup and ready to drive the next day, that's another annoying fantasy that amateur defence commentators yammer about.

Trump is too ignorant, unintellectual and lacking the brain power and sophistication that the office demands. The man is a misfit.
Mathis, Bolton, Scaramuchi, Kelly,.. they don't get more right wing and Republican than that and they all say Trump is a local, duncy and corrupt dummy.
At what point do you stop deceiving yourself and face the facts about this guy.
This was not Obama talking, these were appointees of Trump himself

the former were Hebrew descendants of Jacob while the later are product of Balfour agreement.
The only Biblical Israelites in the state of Israel are the Bnei Menashe returned from India in 2005.

So the state of Israel has been at war since the 50's not Biblical era.

Finally, an educated person made a post on Naira land. Thank God. The ignorance in Nigeria is on another class especially when it comes to international affairs and history.

You can say Nigeria is a power in terms of size of troops and equipments but in terms modernization Nigeria is not yet there.
It's recently Nigeria is buying new modernized tanks and jets, for example the T-72 used by the army is old. I even see some videos of soldiers pushing their APC in the battlefield.

There is the natural sequence of threat assessment, gap mapping and the ORBAT requirements to plug gaps.
Tanks are good but they have their limitations. Nigeria should keep its modern tank fleet fixed at 200 very good tanks.
What we should explore is airborne ground power projection - armed choppers & UAVs with highly mobile SAMs/ command/air traffic control/C4I to support them. We need blitzkrieg capability waged by rotorcraft and UAVs
The navy is on the right track with LSTs but we need a submarine with two UUVs attached.

A tweet from Ahmad Salkida.

SR is full of it. Posting the execution of one soldier by ISWAP as a headline item is stupid. It is cowardly to shoot an unarmed prisoner of war. It is even more abhorrent to post the picture. Many news media organizations reported the shooting and Nigerians did not complain but to post the pictures is spreading evil propaganda for Boko Haram.
We will be asking questions when the owner/founder of SR presents himself for elections again. If you don't love your country and don't support its Army, you are not going to be voted for in this country

Trump is a self defeating candidate. Expect many unforced errors and a series of full blown stupid acts before election day. The Republicans for Biden movement keeps growing. Their thinking is impeccable - Trump has outlived his usefulness after majority of conservative judges have been put in the Supreme Court. The conservative agenda is secure at least for ten years. The time to give the corrupt, quixotic, pink pimpernell a shove has come.

No reason why not but PDP supporters don't want social investments. They think it is a waste. $300 starts a micro small scale business in Nigeria but silly people would rather that a govt gives incentives to billionaires. Meanwhile Dangote can't employ more than 5000 youths per year.

And you think the police chief couldn't be sacked in "America or other advanced democracies "? Trump wouldn't think twice before showing him out through the door. Two things make it impossible in this case but being advanced democracy is not one of it.
Firstly, the police chief in question doesn't work under Trump, they have federal and state police.
Secondly, did he mention Trump? I don't think so.

Trump can't sack Houston Police chief. Should Nairaland run a course in American constitution. It seems too many ignorant people post stuff.

Most Trump supporters have deep rooted psychological issues. It is more than ideology. Many conservatives don't like the guy. If Trump is a hero to you, you need to find out why you have grudges against society and deal with it.

As for Trump himself, there is no greater punishment being inflicted on the US than Trump himself. He himself is not happy. He knows he is carrying an evil load and where / when he will dump it, he does not know yet.

You are so caught up in your misguided idea of patriotism which really is denial of fault and or incompetence, but present the sub standard as excellent, that is the enthronement of mediocrity. You do the nation a disservice when you cannot criticize constructively and sweep all faults under the carpet. That is essentially SYCOPHANCY of which you have become the chief proponent.

Your first response is to cast aspersions and denigrate the competency of the Ugandan air force, you make no strategic regional comparison and our lack of strategic far reaching air superiority attack aircraft such as the SU-30.

But you go even further when you don't even consider the regional threats posed by multiple nations who could essentially wipe out our air force in a day. You then conclude we are getting the JF-17, that counters all potential threats, sorry that is a joke. Which country serious about air superiority will be buying Pakistani fighter aircraft.

The NAF have 15 Mi 24/ 35 Attack helicopters Sudan has 43, The NAF has 5 MI-8 large military helicopters Angola has 66, and we are the one fighting on multiple fronts.

The NAF has 13 Alpha jets and 8 FN-7 , how many of these China copied Mig 21's are operational, I read here about a number of them requiring major maintenance, apart from that they have been far less reliable than the much older Alpha jets.

It is as plain as DAYLIGHT the NAF is completely over stretched and does not have required aircraft for the job.

From all the you have said in your mind this is adequate lets hail PMB .

The intelligent question was asked by the guy. Why did Angola buy 66 MI8 (I dont actually believe that figure) but why would they have bought that number?. How many of them are actually operational at this time. I don't think Sudans aircraft acquisition also made sense. The only air force planes flying in Sudan now are J7s and Karakorum trainers i am sure.
Buying hardware does not mean your military is powerful. Ask Gadhaffi. A few rebel forces turned his army sometimes No2 in Africa into nothing.
In Iraq a few years back, ISIS with technicals and Land cruisers captured more tanks and armored cars in one week than the the entire Armies of West Africa
