Soludo is right. He is a village boy and no one would attack him in his home town.

Most likely ESN/IPOB separatists taking revenge on the police. They probably were seen as an easy target and the hit easy in terms of merging with the crowd.

NIGERIAN AIR FORCE ALPHA-JET LOOSES RADAR CONTACT

A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha-Jet has lost contact with radar in Borno State, while on interdiction mission in support of ground troops. The mission was part of the ongoing counterinsurgency operations in the North East. The loss of radar contact occurred at about 5:08 pm on 31 March 2021.

Details of the whereabout of the aircraft or likely cause of contact loss are still sketchy but will be relayed to the general public as soon as they become clear. Meanwhile, search and rescue efforts are ongoing.

I noticed some early model Alpha jets still flying recently.
That's about 35 year old aircrafts.

What remains is for Boko Haram to send a team disguised as civillians to the place with a video camera. They will tape a few minutes of footage then melt away.
After posting it on such social media, some mentally challenged youth will agree that they "brought down" the jet.

The point of kneeling isn't a sign of love or affection but rather submission, that's what all holy books preaches...
Only inferior people submits, so fill in.

Submission isn’t love, you can submit to who you don’t love that’s my point, that your girlfriend or wife is submissive to you doesn’t mean it’s because she loves you..Feminist or not
We are back to what love is. This woman President is not talking about love in the sense that some silly teenager sees love.
Look at the picture, she is not some dumb bimbo.

Most kids/grandkids love their parents/grannies and submission is one of their ways of showing it.
Same way that this woman is merely saying i love my husband and submission is one of the ways I show it.

Tactical nuclear weapons still contaminate a large area. They will cause terminal illness to soldiers and civilians operating in the are.
They are highly monitored and controlled.

There are very large conventional bombs including thermobaric bombs that will affect a large area without causing nuclear fall out. We have read that NAF has an inventory of the large bombs.

It these large bombs have been used, i am sure many hostages would still have been killed with the bandits.

PoliticsRe: Why Does The Mention Of Nigeria Breaking Literally FEAR Some Set Of People by Jimi24: 4:13am On Mar 23, 2021
It is all in the realm of human psychology. Only failures want Nigeria to break up. Any forward looking, ambitious, visionary person has plans for a project, business or new area of discovery that somehow assumes the indivisibility of Nigeria in the future.

A hopeless and lazy person obviously does not.
Such a person wants to go back to Nigeria of 1960, a year where he most likely was not born yet but has heard one sided views about how better things were.
They were not.
1960 eventually led to 1966 and the Civil War. Politicians were still corrupt and there was still poverty.

Some administrative changes may be necessary in Nigeria but mostly the people need to change themselves from selfish clannishness to a more brotherly approach to life
PoliticsRe: How Arms Acquired Under Buratai From $1billion Fund Were Stolen By Boko Haram by Jimi24: 3:33pm On Mar 17, 2021
NwaNimo1:
Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly seized no fewer than 15 armoured personnel carriers and tanks purchased for Nigerian Army in 2020 under the former Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai.

The armours were bought from the $1 billion fund released by the Federal Government.

According to SaharaReporters, at least four countries supplied the APCs to the Nigerian Army in 2020 which were China, South Korea, United Arab Emirates and South Africa.

It was gathered that about 21 armoured carriers were ordered between 2018 and 2019 when the $1 billion fund from the Excess Crude Account was approved and released to the military to aid the counter-insurgency war in the North-East.

The news platform noted that Buratai deployed some of the funds to obtain the APCs from the four countries – although the arms ended up being stolen or destroyed by the Boko Haram terrorists the same year.

On Wednesday, the breakdown of the 21 APCs ordered between 2018 and 2020 showed that, “Nigeria ordered six VT-4 and ZTL-09 armoured tanks from China in 2019 and the six were supplied in 2020. Nigeria ordered three Marauder APCs from South Africa in 2018 and the three were supplied in 2019. Nigeria ordered five KLTV-181 armoured carriers from South Korea in 2020 and the five came in 2020.”

“Finally, Nigeria ordered eight Phantom-2 armoured carriers from the United Arab Emirates in 2020 and the eight were supplied in 2020.”

Sources in the army said about 15 of the APCs have been stolen by the insurgents.

“Most of the APCs were stolen by the Boko Haram during various operations in 2020. The terrorists knew through informants in the army that new ammunition came and so, they intensified attacks on military bases. The army under Buratai was already distressed, politicised and everyone was an informant,” a top source in the army revealed.

“In December 2020, we lost some of them to the Islamic State West Africa Province’s fighters. We lost the South Korea’s KLTV-181 military tactical-utility vehicle which were designed and manufactured by KIA Motors Corporation,” he further explained.

Recall that the National Security Adviser, Maj-Gen Babagana Monguno (retd,), last week claimed that the fund released for the purchase of arms to fight against security issues affecting the country is missing.

What will parting with a statement such as, ‘the enemy cannot be defeated’, do to the moral of the fighting men he leaves behind as well as that of the enemy?

Such an utterance seems to me so stupid it borders on questionable with quotes
Buratai's statement was quite understandable to the people he was addressing. He was saying military actions alone won't work. He was accusing politicians and the communities hosting Boko Haram.
He also meant that Boko Haram was winning hearts and minds.
There was a context to his statement before legislators. Sadly, emotions and poor educational background of the social media active commentators who make news every day continues to distort every issue.

If you interpret Buratai's statement to mean Boko Haram will win the war, you need to go for some IQ tests.

Trump almost doubled America's debt which is almost a disgrace to fiscal conservatives in the Republican party. He messed up the management of COVID19. His govt was also techno-phobic and as we speak now the US is behind Europe and China in some key modern technologies because of his timid pandering to a generation of old white people in southern states who have now died aplenty due to COVID19.
I can understand some Nigerians still supporting the guy. We are also a very old fashioned, corrupt and sentiment ridden country.

This is the most sensible post I have seen on Nigeria's contemporary security issues in some time.

The culture that caused the neglect is the over-appropriation of security resources by urban dwellers where money is shared.
Lagos, Portharcourt, Abuja and a few cities are over-policed for obvious reasons while large tracks of rural areas are not covered.

Texas, the richest state in the US is home to a lot of ignorant people like you ..who only know oil and gas business and ranching.
They have a privately run power grid dependently mostly on fossil fuel power generation plants. Also because of rank stupidity their grid has no interconnectivity with other states so they cannot import power.

That UAV should have been flying since 2018.
This is the big issue with buying new tech from companies located in 3rd world countries.

The company's governance structure is now unclear and I dont think they have money to support the product.

Nigeria should set up an implementation team and head-hunt ex staff of that company and hire them as consultants to get some value from this platform
