Lol. Low intensity conflicts which involve majorly fighting patrols. Damn, please don't bring comparison into this. The fact is that SANDF is a shadow of its self and Angola will bleep SA.
low intensity?? Shows how ignorant you are wink if our deployments were low intensity vs the likes of the m23 which in their day were the biggest and most well armed militia group in Africa that would put BH to shame then you are beyond help.... Not even to mention our current MOZ deployment and CAR in 2013.....

No, this time it's gonna be bleeped harder.
I think you missed the point my bru wink the fact is the SANDF have been on many deployments since 94 and dispite all its financial troubles have actually been the ones doing the bleeping wink now I suggest you first look at your own countries defense force before spewing nonsense about the SANDF cool

Lol. Ask me bout doing history. That was the SADF under Pre-ANC south Africa. Right now, the SANDF would be severely bleeped until it bleeds uncontrollably by the Republic of Angola.
The SANDF is a shadow of its former self, bru.
Yeah like it's being bleeped in the DRC and MOZ??

Well most of the APC used by UN in Africa is made by them and that's a fact.
So here's how it goes: Chad acquires hundreds of ARA's MRAP from Proforce, which is now being converted by the UN. Simple.
No and No..... The majority of APCs/MRAPs in Sub Sahara Africa are either Russian or South African made.... South Africa is by far and I mean by far the largest arms exporter in Africa...

Also the UN does not convert anything, nations choose to deploy their troops on UN missions like MONUSCO, UNISFA, MINUSMA ect ect.... These vehicles are owned and operated by the country concerned and not the UN.... The UN very rarely buys its own arms.

Chadian Proforce APC's on UN deployment. So it means UN uses Proforce vehicles in Chad right? Because Proforce made the claim themselves that their vehicles have been used by the UN for a long time now, not today, if you read the link I posted. Why should we believe you without any proof and not Proforce making the claim?
NOOO!!! It means the vehicles are used by Chad, on UN sanctioned deployments..... Is this a UN Rooivalk??

FYI its very easy to verify, I just use Sipri which track nearly all arms transfers in and out of every country

Tomorrow, Wednesday 16 March, is going to be very interesting for all those countries generally grouped with Russia amongst "emerging economies".
Moscow needs to hand over $117 million in interest payments on dollar-denominated government bonds, and with roughly $315 billion of Russia's foreign reserves frozen by sanctions, they've indicated an intention to pay in roubles.

Deja vu for me as I started my career with the Russian default of 1998. Interest rates shot up all around the world, and South Africa, with its tradable currency and comparatively open economy, got unfairly thumped. Even the dollar slumped 10% against the yen in two days, the most it has ever fallen against any currency in modern history.
For SA, the effect was enormous. The local prime rate shot up like a rocket, up all the way to a record 25.5%, and the 10-year bond yield hit 20%.

If Russia defaults tomorrow, the effects won't be as severe as 1998, for a few reasons:
1) Russian sovereign debt to foreigners is only $60 billion, an accounting error;
2) The ZAR has remained comparatively stable over the past few months. No longer is the rand a proxy for emerging market currencies, as other currencies, like the Turkish lira, are now as highly traded as the rand was back then; and
3) Unlike 1998, SA’s inflation rate is now lower than the world average, which makes for a stronger currency, less inflationary effects and reduced pressure on the SA Reserve Bank to continue raising interest rates, which should bode well for the economy.
Rand is bolstered by the commodity prices and I see it strengthening in the short to mid term to even as low as R13 to the $....was actually in a Seed investment seminar this morning that stated the rand could theoretically trade at as low as R8 to the dollar at current commodity prices... But we all know there isn't enough demand for that to happen.

In the short term we will see inflation rise about 0.6-0.8pp.... Over all I'm quite optimistic that the Russia/Ukraine conflict has in fact opened more opportunities than Risks for SA.... What we don't want is an escalation of the war because then we are all fvcked but if its going to stay like it is now for a while that could mean a boost for the SAn economy

Having similar features doesn't mean they are the same.

You seem to have comprehension issues.

I did not say J-10 and JF-17 are the same, I said they are similar.
similar like apples and oranges.... They are both fruit but they ain't the same....

The JF-17 and J-10 are similar, parts are interchangeable also, the aircrafts are produced by the same company.

The J-10 is of a higher class and capabilities obviously, but i was thinking they would have gone for a 2 engine fighter. This was until I realized they had no 2 engine fighters available to them in the market.
The J10 is larger.... I mean it has a payload of 7tons more

You're really not smart ...

Ain't you the one who posted it here that you export 2.8 million tonnes of maize, according to export data?

If you export 2.8 million tonnes, how many more million of tonnes in other grains will you need to import to meet your 19.9 million tonnes demand?
See the problem you currently have is you are stuck with this idea that our grain consumption is 19.9million(how you got that figure I don't know) when it clearly isn't mathematically possible for it to be 19.9million

And 2.8million was our total grain exports and 1.9 million was our total grain import.......thus by using simple mathematics our local consumption is around 17.1 million (local production @18 million tons)

Still I'm surprised Pakistan bought the J-10C. The capabilities of the 2 aircrafts, JF-17 and J-10 are very similar.

At least on paper.
the fact that they were willing to spend more on a Chinese aircraft instead of one they manufacture themselves for much cheaper probably indicates they are not that similar in terms of capability

Ps this is not saying that the J10 is better or the JF-17 is not any good but that in terms of role That Pakistan want the J10 was a better fit

Just40:
I guess, in your entire life, you've not heard of import ?

Is that too much for you to imagine ?
I said we are self sufficient in terms of grain..... How according to you can it be that our consumption is 19.9million and our production is 18million (thus we import 1.9 million) where in hell do we get the 2.8 million tons to export?

I think you lack enough IQ to see the obvious.
Zimbabwe, Congo republic, Cameroon and other shitholes have been classified as non LCD while TZ is placed in LCD by that fake map drawn by someone sitting probably in New york.

But can you say those shitholes are anywhere better than the might United republic as far as life in General is concerned? Are those people anywhere better than TZ folks? Even u, knows for sure that, anyone who is starving to death can't be better than the one with a full belly grin grin

you see, your question is not even making Sense?

grin
free maths class: if our total consumption is 19.9million but we produce only 18.million.....how is it possible that we export 2.8million??
PoliticsRe: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by jl115: 2:51pm On Mar 10, 2022
Just40:
which is still a deficit

You consume 19.9 or so million tonnes of grain
You produce 18 million tonnes of grain and out of this 18 million tonnes, you export 2.8 of it ( mostly corn)
do you even math bro?
