Count all African wars since homo naledi to date and still one war among your cousins dwarfs them ten fold!! read 2nd WW,, wink wink. War is just an innate thingy amongst yours. Otzi man himself was found to have murdered atleast four men way back in prehistoric times in typical caucanderthal mortal kombat
Well, everyone disagrees.
- it was @outofcontext
- which continent has had the most conflicts since ww2? which continent has the most conflicts currently? , which continent has had the most genocides since ww2? Which continent has the most genocide related deaths since ww2?..... My bru there isn't even an argument Unfortunately Africans are just humans like us whities and are just as prone to genocide and war like the rest of the world
obaaderemi: See, there's conflict and violence everywhere in the world. But the point is that Europeans are more prone to violence than others. Ancient and modern history prove it, not to talk of current and ongoing events. Fact.
I like how you just say fact at the end like you know what you are talking about .... My bru if you actually knew African history you will find Africans were(and still are) every bit as violent as any other race!! And history proves that 100%!!!! Africa ain't no peaceful paradise and neither was it before colonisation..... You sound like a woke leftest making up your own history
Tayser: You are too lazy to post the link to me Wasnt I who actually asked for it?
The war in Ethiopia so far which has been raging for months has only killed around 3 k odd. Meanwhile the Rusky war is past that figure in just one week of fighting.
ain't racist, told you before am the least racist person between us you are definitely way more racist
-No it wasn't
- A lot more than just 3k deaths in Ethiopia more like 50 000 but let me just also include Mozambique, DRC, CAR, Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Chad
- Nope you are the Racist my bru absolutely not a single post or statement from me in the 8 years on NL that is even remotely racist
Tinfoil: Nigeria is wise to get arms from both the west and east. If either side to withhold spares or support the military will still have functioning systems unlike S.Africa which is dependant on the west
how are we anymore dependent on foreign suppliers than any other country? In fact we are by far the most self-sufficient force on the continent
chrisooblog: Talking of the Ukraine-Russia war guess we can assume it will be awhile before the 24 new fighter jets acquired by NAF arrive?
Leonardo is an Italian company...so you should be fine(depending on how much parts Russia supplies) , what I am more concerned about is that Leonardo itself has denied that Nigeria has placed any orders
Lurker4Long: Things are about to get interesting for our Namibian cousins.
At least 3 billion barrels: TotalEnergies' Venus is Sub-Saharan Africa's biggest ever oil discovery
TotalEnergies’ enormous Venus-1 discovery offshore Namibia holds at least 3 billion barrels of recoverable oil and is Sub-Saharan Africa’s biggest ever oil find, according to a confidential report from an industry-leading consultant.
Upstream broke the news on the huge discovery last week, just a month or so after revealing exclusively that Shell had also made a big oil discovery in Namibia with its Graff-1 wildcat.
Just40: There are no sanctions on Russia's Gold, oil and Aluminum, copper and palladium... Infact Europe and even the US can't do without them..
Secondly, you already have buyers for all of those commodities and they are not things that you can just get up and increase production.. it takes time and investment.
- Not yet!!
- it's about supply and demand.... Our production is pegged to demand.... If the demand goes up(which it will with sanctions) then our production will go up as well
ishit4bodyy: Armchair generals The most useless of all
this thread although it says strictly photos and videos has always been a place for discussion wrt to military matters.... People are allowed to air their opinion and others can respond to that...i I'm pretty certain that you sit on your high horse acting like you know better than the rest when in fact you know nothing
GreenandGold: Someone said Russia can beat Sweden, I say even the SANDF can tear apart current Russia's formation... No offense, which military in the world literary drives a 5km convoy on the main road to invade a town? I'd light them up with artillery and carpet bombing.
this will be controversial but IMO as in MY Opinion South African tactics have always been superior than that of the Soviet Union, as was seen during the border war..... Even today the SANDFs problems thankfully aren't due doctrine(Suadi Arabia springs to mind) but simply due to funding and salary vs capital expenditure ratio....our tactics have always revolved around high mobility with minimum logistic and Air cover... Hence why even without air cover our boys have done outstanding in the DRC, CAR and now in Moz
If you export to or import from Russia, you suffer because your banks will now have to look for a new clearing house and agree on the currency for the transaction to be done in.
Those who depend on Ukraine for their grain import suffers most because most of Ukraine export facilities are none operational and the world is in a supply chain crisis to make it easy for new suppliers to take the challenge.
Russia is not one of South Africa's major trade partners in fact they make up less than 1% of our imports and exports...
Also with the sanctions imposed on Russia(and obviously Ukraine being at war) it opens up great opportunities for our Gold, copper, alliminum and palladium industries to pick up the supply vacuum caused by the sanctions....this however is just short term gains thanks to the higher than expected commodity prices and it will eventually fade. Same thing wrt to our grain industry
In the long term a drawn out conflict might also benefit South Africa simply due to its geographical and geopolitical position....risk wise SA would look much safer to investors than Europe quite possibly even safer than Australia due to. Australia's closeness with NATO and the China Taiwan tension.
Our current economic problems might just be outweighed by the sudden advantages mentioned above...that and SA has half decent infrastructure which would look attractive for foreign investors all of a sudden
Mzal3ndo: The remaining 60% is with allies like China who can opt to import Russian to help a friend that cushioning Russia's economic hardship. P.S. 40% of exports does not mean 40% of the economy.
my bru understanding economics is literally my job you don't have to explain it to me! The point I was making was sanctions from the EU will severly hurt the Russian economy....
NTSA: This is what I mean (War of information and perception) However controls the information and perception will have an edge ...we are in the era of 5th gen warfare.
Tayser: Don't bother with the link, obviously you don't have it. As you probably know already, everything happening in Kievan Rus is a confirmation of the genetic predisposition to violence amongst your kin. Strongly suspect its the neanderthal DNA
I already posted the link like 2 days ago.... Along with a screenshot, it ain't my problem you are a lazy...
Yes and there is no war in Africa currently ..... "Cough".... Ethiopia.... "cough"
Also take it easy with the racism bru .... You ain't impressing anyone
obaaderemi: South Africa has everything to be in the league of countries like Czech and Poland or at least Indonesia. But disenfranchising the blacks for so long robbed South Africa of the balance it could have achieved economically and socially.
The massive contributions the blacks could have made were blocked for decades by making sure they were poorly educated and marginalized in industries that could promote their progress. The scars may never heal.
true...that and heavy sanctions in the 80s put us back decades..... And Zuma did a great job putting us behind in the 21st century
