Spoke to someone who works at NCDMB today, and I was informed that the recruitment is still very much alive. For some reasons he didn't want to disclose a lot of information to me.
All he assured me is that we would hear from them after their next seat meeting.
Keep the hope alive team, is coming home.

Still nothing to show for Ohaji egbema people. The roads there are in worst shapes. From owerri to Egbema see how terrible the roads are. No NDDC projects. The only water project for Obosima community was abandoned at the point of completion the community didn't make use of the project for a single day before it was abandoned for more than 10 years now. Honestly this country is a mess. We need to start to hold our leaders accountable from the community thats when things will be better. We should stop voting for wicked and selfish people as our leaders. Is very painful

Worry not brother, it's just a matter of time and these areas you mentioned will be transformed, time is the only factor here...
These areas are the Energy Hub in the East and if they learnt good lessons from the South South situation, then I bet you the South East will become the Jewel � that it is........

I was just reading a thread about so many people writing their opinions on why its not reasonable to drop your Nigerian job for abroad.

So many people have fallen victims to the “japa” crew and their motivation to actualise it. For me, working abroad needs more preparation and lots of sacrifice. Before you attack me know that i did my Msc in Uk - London. So i know what i’m talking about.

I went on scholarship sponsored by pdtf. It wasnt easy fo the first 6 months as i wasnt paid till after 6 months. What really saved me was my job back in nigeria. Being that i took my study leave from work, it helped me to atleast do the basics of getting accommodation, and little food “bread and butter”. For anyone who knows london, you know its expensive from accommodation to transportation to bills. So i really struggled. Not forgetting the struggle of being in a new system entirely both academic and social.

I quickly followed the advice of a classmate to find a job which wasnt easy either. Lucky to got a hospitality job, i was earning £7.20/hr. And i have 40hrs a week. I havent adjusted to the school system yet with so much course work and assignments to finish. I was devastated and broken for that period. Kept borrowing from a good friend because my salary back home couldnt cover my london accommodation. It was basically hell on earth.

I met an elderly man during one of my jobs which was washing plates at a kitchen for an event centre in excel (those who have been to london know). This man gave me the best advice and the reality of how one can actually make it in london. He said: “to work in Uk, you either have to sacrifice for your family so they can have the best life here or you sacrifice the family and enjoy your life with only YOUR responsibility. Because he was working full time from 6am to 9pm daily and thats just for his family.

I had an intention to stay and work after my program but gave myself brain knwoing that i’ll have to find a job that can sustain me and atleast send something back to my mother. Because the difference between africans and westerners is that we actually care about our relatives. Foreigners dont. Its basically just you and your family or self.

So i saved up my money and came back.

One more thing, you can actually get a contract of N10-20 million in nigeria within a year if you have the right connect or have the right idea. But in abroad, that may never be possible.

So for anyone with bright ideas and patience, Nigeria is still a developing nation meaning you can think of an idea that can change the nation for good or you go abroad and seek knowledge of an already existing idea and be a white collar job worker. The choice is yours.

Those that said the recruitment process has been cancelled are correct in a way (the oral interview has been cancelled) because they got that information from the main source.

Total no of people to be engaged is still not clear as the list keep expanding but extremely discreet to be be accessed. The list contain mostly EH.. He'has learnt his lessons, the representation is a bit fair this time around. The iron lady is also corporating. She's lessregit because 2slotes wher prepared and scheduled for her.

Management and HR team set to meet soon regarding the ongoing recruitment.

To clarify rumours going around about FCC interfering with this recruitment. It's just a false propaganda. FCC had already been given few slots prior to receiving recruitment approval.

Interview was suspended because of the various board projects behind this recruitment would just be completed by last quarter while the much-awaited project Train 7 ground-breaking was done today and work to start soon. I believe we wouldn't expect the board to recruit new-intakes and start paying salaries without productivity.

For the experience hire, kindly be active on LinkedIn as Saipem and other contractors have started recruiting for this project. Please keep your options open.

I'll keep you all informed once things are in place

Anybody knows what the timeline is for releasing the list of successful scholars after conclusion of interviews.

When you google IMT Atlantique, the website will appear. Check the different research units of the school, write the professors. It's just the normal way bro. There's no other special way.

But you shouldn't expect a response from most professor especially if there are not taking any PhD candidate. The response rate is generally less than 1%. It's normal.

Those ones are meant for the Elites, I was awarded for Germany in 2019 but got rejected by DAAD. Wanted to change to UK but those Staff that's full of Nepotism only brought France, Malaysia and China for me. PTDF is not organized at all.
