Hi! Everyone, I noticed this in my application stage list, does that mean that I won't be requiring any medical test? I thought medical examination was compulsory for everyone staying more than 6 months.

Lastly, during the application, I added my bank statement to the documents I uploaded under POF and also among the documents I uploaded in "client information" because I wanted to make a strong explanation about it in my SOP, subtitled "funding". The problem here is that the bank statement under "client's information" appears to be very blurry but the one in POF is very clear, will this be an issue?

Do I need to stop the sending mails and web form or I should continue?

You can add any document using the webform, if your letter offer and your POF is 2yrs, but he stated 1yr the VO might see it as a mistake, but to be safe you can use a letter of explanation correcting those mistake then use webform to add your documents, use the link below to add documents

Hello house. Please I would like opinions on what to do in regards to my application that was submitted on the 31st July by an agent. I just discovered yesterday after going through my application portal that there some errors in my application. Instead of stating that my intending course is for 2 years, the agent mentioned it as a 1 year programme and quoted tuition fees for 1 year. This is contrary to what is stipulated in my letter of acceptance. I submitted my LOA and POF for the duration of the 2 years course to him. I have made him realise his error and told him off in no clear terms. Please I would like to ask what I can do to correct this wrong information as the application has already been submitted and whether this will have any adverse effect on the final decision of the application.

No, you don't need a transit visa, don't leave the place of accommodation provided for you by the airline, you will need if you want to enter the city

Most explanations I see only consider Masters of two years. A PhD is four years. Pls I got this questions;

1. For a PHd without funding, is showing two years tuition and one year living expenses sufficient?

Proceed with the passport you have now, and continue with the new passport. Our client used a new passport for visa stamping different from the one we use for the application

So i will like to know if it is necessary that he explains in his letter of sponsorship how he is able to accumulate the funds in his account to sponsor my education or is it important that he shows documentary evidence that shows how he was able to make the money that he has in the sponsorship account ?

Study visa, visitor visa, and etc are all called non-immigrant visa or can be referred to as temporary resident visa. I will be talking more on the proof of funds, a lot of internationals get their visa refusal not just because of insufficient funds but rather insufficient means of funds, you must have seen cases where there was sufficient amount of money but the visa still get denied, this might be due to insufficient means of funds then again other factors might lead to visa refusal.

What is Proof of Funds, POF It is the total amount you will need to have to cover for your stay for the duration of your program in Canada this applicable to other countries.

Source IRCC website: Temporary residents must have evidence that they can support themselves and any accompanying dependants while in Canada. That evidence may include one of the following:
1. cash, certified cheque, bank draft or money order in an amount large enough to cover all reasonable expenses to be incurred during the stay in Canada
2. verbal or written statements, which can be confirmed, that satisfy an officer that sufficient financial support from friends and/or family is available and has been arranged to adequately cover all reasonable expenses to be incurred during the stay in Canada
Assessing financial resources
You can combine any of the following documents
1. bank statement(s) or deposit book(s) of applicant (and spouse) that show accumulated savings
2. applicant's (and spouse's) letter of employment or employment book, providing name of employer, applicant's position/occupation, date employment commenced and annual earnings
3. host's or family member in Canada (and spouse's) evidence of income: such as previous year Revenue Canada Notice of Assessment indicating annual income; or alternately, letter from employer(s) showing position, date employment commenced and annual earnings
4. evidence of size of family for host or family member in Canada (to equate earnings with size of family to ensure ability to support long-term visit)

How to Calculate Proof of Funds, POF

This calculation is in 2 phase
1. individual and
2. family

Individual:
This illustration is for an individual going for a 2yrs program
Formula
POF = 1st yr tuition fee + 2nd yr tuition fee + 1yr living expenses + 2nd yr living expenses

Example: Please refer to your country's currency for conversion purpose
Kindly refer to the duration of your program, and tuition fee

Let say your tuition fee is = 18,000cad/yr
duration of program 2yrs
Living expenses outside Quebec = $10,000cad (IRCC website)
Putting this together

18,000cad + 18,000cad + 10,000cad + 10,000 = 56,000cad
POF = 56,000cad
So this is the amount you are expected to have that can cover for you stay in Canada, but in some cases you can show just 1yr living expenses in addition to your 2yrs tuition fee, if you want to reduce the amount let it be the living expenses.

Families
For a family of 3
Formula
POF = 1st yr tuition fee + 2nd yr tuition fee + 1yr living expenses (You, the student) + 2nd yr living expenses (You, the student) + 1yr living expenses (spouse/first dependant) + 2nd yr living expenses (spouse/first dependant) + 1yr living expenses (Every additional accompanying family member) + 2nd yr (Every additional accompanying family member)

Let say your tuition fee is = 18,000cad/yr
duration of program 2yrs

Living expenses outside Quebec = $10,000cad (Not including tuition fee, IRCC website)
First family member = 4,000cad (Not including tuition fee, IRCC website)
Every additional accompanying family member = 3,000cad (Not including tuition fee, IRCC website)

Now let put this together
18,000cad + 18,000cad + 10,000cad + 10,000cad + 4,000cad + 4,000cad + 3,000cad + 3,000cad = 70,000cad
POF = 70,000cad
This is the amount expected for you to have for a family of 3. The principal applicant (student) going for a 2 yrs program with 2 dependant.

If your program is 1yr, your tuition is 17,000cad you have paid 9000cad that is like the first semester tuition fee, you are left with 8000cad to pay, living expenses yearly is 10,000cad. what you have in your acct is 27,000cad as POF. You are good to go sir.

Good morning to you, your 30M and sponsor's acct of 70M is enough although there are conditions for sponsorship, despite your sponsor having 70M in his acct does not mean that he will use is 70M to sponsor you even is he is your father take note of this when preparing Letter of sponsorship and affidavit of support include his financial commitment to you. You can also add your $10 acct too with an explanation but the major thing you have covered for it the new acct will just be an addon

Good morning guy, please is it possible to use an account that is a week old for POF. So i recently just broke my piggy bank and converted the funds into USD of about $10. I recently opened the account and deposited it there. Though my sponsors account is old & has 70m. I also just sold asset of 30m nd deposited it in my old account as well. So should i just use the account of 70m of over 10yrs of usage and 30m account of over 5yrs of usage or i can also add the $10 of 1week and give an explanation that i recently broke my piggy bank and deposited the lump sum in the new account or i shouldn’t add the $10 at all

2. The bank statement is enough MBS is also a statement of acct, not all banks have MBS
3. Yes, add pic with your common law and ID(NIN, Inter'l passport or DL)
4. 35M might be enough since you already paid 6000cad from the POF (POF depend on your tuition fee and living expenses in the province)
