There is a divine instruction. I am not condemning those who beg for money on tv.I'm only clearing the issue you raise. So it's not about money. These are fivers already, they are not beign made givers. It's opportunity to bless them, impart them with spiritual ability to prosper etc I can't be discussing details  

I hope you also understand the risk here, some people will give just to be part of the program, because they want to ‘mingle’ with chris & CE ‘big boys’, get that ‘godly’ handshake. .

That's a carnal way to reason it. I give with joy. Only few receives such handshake, Im not looking for a hand shake but the grace ,teaching,impartation of the spirit. The word of prayer alone is enough for me. So it's carnal to reason the way you are going about it. Most of the times , it's someone else that even presents such awards and shake hands not necessary pastor chris. In CEC . we celebrate with those who are honoured . Paul says "--rejoice with them that rejoice----"

Giving then would no longer be for the joy it brings or the love for the gospel. To these people, you would have done more harm than good

Our givings are done in joy. And we give out of love for God. And if anyone gets motivated to win award ,it's not out of place . It's still scriptural . Jesus was motivated  by end result to endure the cross,Jesus motivated his disciples also , even of earthly reward. Paul also was motivated,by the crown. He motivated his followers also and us to win crown as well. So all these are based on spiritual truth.

Galatians 6:9-10

There is a godly competition , whoever excel more is celebrated by all. We are brothers. But that is by the way.

Some people are stands out by commitment and this makes them special. When God calls a man of God , gives him an assignment, their are certain individuals that God will use to bear the burden with him and those who recognise that callings are special.  Such people that have bought into such vision should be well handeled, encouraged and appreciated.  Many Africans dont like gratitude.

Pastor chris always teach us to appreciate, our parents, bosses, even employees! He says we should learn to say thank you!  Even to the house girl that give you water!  Jesus had many disciples . But herelated with them differently according to how vital they were to him.

So having opportunity to say thanks to partners and leader is a spiritual thing. We learn many principles of success in life  in such meetings with pastor chris and also receive impartation of spiritual ability to prosper.

I don’t really support people standing for recognition for a service to God. I have to say I have been guilty of it in the past, but I don’t think its right. I really like to know why you choose to measure outstanding contributors using a minimum threshold. What about the man/woman that gave everything even if his/her contribution does not come close to the minimum threshold for recognition? Do I really stand out when I give 10% of my worth or when I give 90-100% of my worth. If you ask me sir, I think your criteria for measuring performance is flawed.

Partners conference is not for handshake , it's a place of refreshing in the holyghost , the recognition and award session it's only a part, you know many africans don't understand the language " GRATTITUDE" it's a spiritual courtesy .

Do you know that they keep a record of ALL offerings you have given to the church and when IPCC time comes and you have not given enough they tell you NO you cant go ONLY people who gave more that R10000 can attend. The the high point of the 'show' is the award ceremony where top givers are rewarded with plaques certificates and 'presidential' handshake while others look on and applaud. In CE, cell leaders, PCU and PCF leaders slave all through the year bringing more customers members to the church but hard work in CE means nothing unless you give money so all you need to do to come so close as getting a handshake from Chris is give give give and give in millions.

It is a scriptural thing to honour those who have been committed to Gods work. The bible says "---to esteem them highly" Paul commended many people and encourage the church to do likewise for those who labour in the word of God , in giving and other works of service. That's exactly what happens in our meeting , it's not just those who gave that are honoured we have leaders that are honoured, soul winners , and also we have people who are unseen yet are commiteed to the translation of rhapsody in different languages worldwide. Arabians, Indians, Asians etc. And local Nigerian languages. Pastor chris is a man that doesn't play with gratitude and he teaches us same thing. It's only an opportunity to say weldone! Even if we don't know you, we see what you're doing.

A proper understanding of the sriptures above would reveal that the whole concept of IPPC is a sin and an abomination in the sight of God. But then again i know pastor money bags well he would say that James was a baby christian and he does not understand the word of God like pastor chris does.

@kunleoshob I see you are quoting james teaching on preference in church. But that's not the case,the only reason there is restriction  is simply because of space. Everybody used to go, but since number of people increased ,there was need for restriction, so only few delegates are sent in from churches  so that at least every church is represented. So it's not an issue of preference .

Lets look at Abraham:During the entire period of time before the Law there were only two Biblical references to tithing. One instance has been superficially interpreted to justify a teaching that is contrary to the New Covenant. The other is an example of unbelief and bargaining with God. Neither one can change the finished work of the cross. Neither one can add to the surpassing greatness of life in Christ. Neither one is teaching tithing to the church.

The first mention of a tithe is in Genesis 14. A group of four kings from the east came into Canaan to attack a group of five that had rebelled and quit paying tribute. Sodom was one of the cities plundered, and Abraham's nephew, Lot, was carried away with the captives. Abraham, 318 of his trained servants, and three other men of the area who were in covenant with him pursued the invaders and slaughtered them.

When Abraham returned with the people and the goods, the new king of Sodom came out to meet him. Melchizedek, king of Salem, also came out with bread and wine and pronounced a blessing upon Abraham. Genesis 14:20 says that Abraham "gave him tithes of all." Hebrews 7:4 confirms that it was a tenth of the spoils of the battle.

The king of Sodom then asked for the people to be returned to him but told Abraham to keep all the goods. By right of conquest Abraham could have kept everything, including the people. However, he refused to keep anything and publicly affirmed his oath to God that he would take nothing so that the king of Sodom could not say he had made Abraham rich.

The Facts versus Speculation
For the sake of emphasis, the following points are listed individually.

God's original promise to Abraham was based on nothing except faith. It had nothing to do with tithing.
God's covenant with Abraham, which he made later to help Abraham believe, had nothing to do with tithing.
There is no scriptural basis to say that God instructed Abraham to give a tenth of the spoils to Melchizedek.
There is no scriptural basis to say that God ever instructed Abraham to give any tithe.
Abraham was not made rich by giving a tithe to Melchizedek. He was already exceedingly rich before he gave it. Genesis 13 tells us that Abraham was rich in cattle, in silver and in gold. His substance was so great that the land could not bear him and Lot together. He had at least 318 male servants born in his house. The total number of persons in his company would have been much greater counting the wives and children of the servants plus others who would have stayed behind to guard his possessions.
This is the one and only mention of Abraham giving a tithe to anyone.
There is no scriptural basis to teach that Abraham ever gave another tithe in his entire life.
The tithe was on the spoils of the battle.
Abraham didn't give a tithe of his personal possessions or the increase of his flocks and herds.
Abraham didn't give a tithe of something that he was going to keep a portion of, so it cost him nothing.
Neither tithes nor offerings were a condition for the fulfillment of God's promise to Abraham.
God made Abraham rich in fulfillment of his promise alone, without any kind of tithing or giving.
There is no scriptural basis to say that Abraham's tithe to Melchizedek is God's pattern for Christians in the New Covenant.
God's command to Abraham was to leave his country and go to the land that God would show him.
God promised that he would make Abraham a great nation, he would bless him, he would make his name great, Abraham would be a blessing, he would bless them that bless Abraham, he would curse them that curse Abraham, and in Abraham all families of the earth would be blessed.
Abraham believed what God said and acted on it. God considered him righteous, fulfilled his promise, and made him rich on the basis of that faith alone. Tithing had absolutely nothing to do with it.
Tithing was not part of Abraham's covenant. There is no question about that. Tithing was not the reason for his prosperity or the fulfillment of God's promises to him. Abraham was already extremely wealthy before he ever met Melchizedek. God made Abraham rich on the basis of his promise alone. If GOD wanted you RICH my brother you WOULD BE RICH today without bribing Him and manipulating His word to get you rich JUST LIKE ABRAHAM.

Tithing was a revelation of God to men of faith. It doesn't have to be a law. It's a worship. Offering also is a worship by the revelation of God, prayer also is by the revelation of God. They all have their benefit. If you don't believe in tithing , no qualms, you only miss the grace and benefit that goes with it . That's simple enough.   Even if pastor chris says he doesn't thithe again , I will still tithe because I'm convince personally.

Abraham tithing or the offering of his son was not work but a demonstration of Gods lordship over his life. Come on . Tithe is so small for argument . It is the least of my giving and when I give tithe I give more than ten percent. That's just me.
