You guys just like getting a response. It’s almost like if, people intentionally post that provoke others and enact reactions from forumers. In an all important game vs your arch rival, you think it’s wise to select an unproven inexperienced player and invite pressure on him?? We must select all our proven inform players vs Ghana and after the Ghana’s game, there will be chances to test other players. Too many meth and sniper drinking analysts on this platform

On Torunarigha's short term loan to Gent:

The Chemitz native of Nigerian descent has been with Hertha through all manners of ups and downs. One of the players featured in the award-winning documentary "Schwarze Adler" about Black players representing Germany, Torunarigha has continued to represent Germany at the youth and Olympic level despite suffering multiple cases of racial abuse.

"I'm sure that this change of scenery will be good for his development and that he will return to us stronger," sporting CEO Fredi Bobic noted in a statement, "He let us know that he wanted to gain experience outside of Hertha and we obliged."

The loan contains no purchase option. Torunarigha remains under contract with the capital city side through the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

Osimehn only scored 19 goals in Belgium league for a French club to sign him. Onuachu has scored triple that amount and he hasn’t upgraded to a bigger club. My point is that having a Good agent is equally as valuable as being a talented player because the right agent can elevate one career trajectory. I.e chuppo moting

Very True.

I think we as a people have accepted bribery and corruption as a normal acceptable way of life . We are no longer offended about it or even indignant.

How many people today no dey bribe to enter school or to pass courses for university?
it's a way of life.. It will take the people to say we have to start doing things differently for Nigeria to change.
Government cannot do it alone.

komekn:
Is it ignorance or is it delusional or even just a lack of basic understanding.

Corruption is endemic and institutionalised in our dear country. It's not about who is corrupt but who is not.

The EFFC, Nigerian Customs, to name just a few are endemically corrupt, it's not just institutionalised but long-standing generational, it's that bad.

Corruption is also accepted by most and almost IMPOSSIBLE as an individual to fight without grave consequences on you who challenges it.

NFF Coach Salisu was caught red handed and publicly disgraced and found culpable, blatant bribe taking. Some perfunctory sanctions were made against him as punitive measures. But it was more window dressing to appease public opinion somewhat.

Fast forward Salisu should have been banned and even imprisoned but he is now at the top of the pyramid in the NFF. That tells you the cultural of corruption still pervades at the highest level. I will not talk about SiaSia.

It's a reflection of just like many other government departments, agencies and or bodies in Nigeria. The NFF is no exception, it's endemically corrupt. Maybe you are blind to corruption but many here are not.

My former governor Ibori was discharged and acquitted of all charges of corruption at a Federal court in Asaba. He then pleaded guilty to very similar charges in British Court. Was convicted and given a 13 year jail sentence but served in prison for less than 7 years, returns to Nigeria, he is not arrested but literally given a red carpet state of welcome.

Ademola Lookman will watch the NFF spin a myriad of lies and untruths. If he wants to play for the SE he will say nothing because unless he want to face off with NFF and loose his place. He will keep QUITE and not in the public domain contradict the nonsense the NFF are putting out.

With regards to your request for a receipt ask Abba Kyari to produce a receipt for the thousands of $ he got from hushpuffi. And while your at it ask Ibori for a receipt for the $16 Million bribe given to the EFCC which is still in the Central Bank.

I have not read what Jay Jay said. But going by what you are suggesting he said, I start to wonder. Jay Jay as a player played very beautiful which sometimes, if not oftentimes, costed us games.

chrisooblog:
I think you are misunderstanding Jay-Jay's comment.

He's not saying they shouldn't play beautiful football but have than eyes on the main goal which is qualification.

If playing ugly means we qualify so be it.

Senegal didn't play sexy football they won AFCON. Egypt served us varying levels of boko haram football they got to the final and were a hair's breadth from winning the whole damn thing.

Good but sensible football I think is what Okocha is advocating for.

Sadiq may have scored only one goal at the AFCON but we all saw how he started establishing himself more with threat and presence as the tournament progressed. He remains my second choice CF.

andrewbaba44:
Not a fan of Sadiq

But that boy will soon shame you

You always speak as if the guy is a failure

So many players started from high leagues but without much game time they had to go a lower league to proove themself and come back to the top league

You see sadiq as a failure but you won’t see Dominic solanke as one who didn’t do well at a top league but now doing well at the championship just as sadiq is doing well at the segunda

You really need to calm down as what you have against Sadiq is now looking too personal

I expect Lookman to make an immediate impact like Victor Moses did on his debut for Nigeria. Watching him today against Liverpool, he will be a great addition.
NaijaGoBetter20:
BREAKING: FIFA has approved Leicester City winger Ademola Lookman changing his nationality to represent Nigeria instead of England, world soccer's governing body said Thursday.

Lookman, who is on loan at Leicester from Leipzig, was part of England's title win at the 2017 Under-20 World Cup.

The 24-year-old London native, who was born to Nigerian parents, has not played for England's senior team.

So is Koulibaly not a "foreigner"?

Hence, It's either there is a problem with Nigerians in Diaspora, or there is a problem with Nigeriahuh

yinkeys:
My opinion
There’s no spot for most of these guys switching to play
They should wait till after the World Cup.
Eberechi is good but is Lookman coming to bench Moses Simon ?
I doubt that
Except till next year once Ahmed Musa is retired.
Even Emmanuel Dennis isn’t sure of getting called up. Even if he is part of the squad he’d have to play number 7 and not 9 or 8

These foreigners think Nigeria is the English dust bin they can choose to walk into anytime
Koulibaly would have been a starter for France but he chose Senegal
