simple.

sadiq is better than onuachu and awoniyi

Can’t wait for almeria to gain promotion next season
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 3:34pm On Feb 21, 2022
why don't you wait for him to leave the league den before you start to rant?
He will adapt to any league.. When he did a masterpiece against Leicester City where were you and komekn?

drDoom3:
That's because no one in Serie A plays a high line against Napoli. It backs up my point earlier that the league is helping him conceal the poorer parts of his game which will hurt him in the long run. It is not an exaggeration or just a fluke, there have been flashes for a while now.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 3:31pm On Feb 21, 2022
You don't know that Osimhen's transfer fee was inflated? grin
You no go talk that side at all

komekn:
Why do we present facts that don't justify your narrative. Look at what you are presenting and the comparison you are making.

It actually indicts Victor O it doesn't justify him it says he has not met the expectations, if you add last season it becomes even more concerning.

Consider 2021/22 ;

Games. Goals. Transfer Fee(£)

Osimhen:0.5. - 15 - 6 - 78 M
Halaand: 0.5 - 14 - 16 - 20
Lukaku: 0.8. - 17 - 5 - 97
Ronaldo: 1.0 - 22 - 9 - 20
Salah: 0.5 - 23 - 17 - 36
Mane: 0.5 - 22 - 9 - 34

Lukaku is in the list of poor performance and has FLOPPED. However, most will agree for a striker who has been consistently among the top goal scorers in every league he has played for over the past 10 year's. Something is amiss not just player performance.

There is no question about the quality of Lukaku but more about the issues ongoing in Chelsea. Yesterday Lukaku touched the ball 6 times against Palace. Something is not right with Tuchel and Lukaku. A player who was the second highest goal scorer in Seria A last season with 24 goals.

oga he is a lion in the Segunda. Stop crucifying him just because of Rangers alone. Get over it.
You yourself commented on his showing against Tunisia. I hope u have not deleted that post. grin

komekn:
In all honesty from what I have seen of Sadiq over the years from his abysmal mediocrity at Ranger's to his recent showing in the SE.

He will struggle in English league 1.

Maybe he need to stay in Segunda Division or the less competitive and much slower and not so physically taxing Spanish football.

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie:
Offsides per game this season in comparison to Osimhen

Osimhen:0.5
Halaand: 0.5
Lukaku: 0.8
Ronaldo: 1.0
Salah: 0.5
Mane: 0.5

I can go on..

That narrative is an exaggeration from just one game. Make una calm down. You are not Napoli. Osimhen will not lack suitors and Napoli will not sell him easily.

drDoom3:
Osimhen needs to learn intelligent play if he wants to achieve his full potential. Football is not only pace, muscle and gra-gra. Know when to pass, when to stop and bring others into play, when and how to slip through passes (which I have never seen him do), etc. Imagine a 70 million striker struggling with offsides at this level, it is frankly embarassing tbh. I hope he keeps on working on himself and he knows he is not the finished product yet.

They should be busy strategizing as regards our immediate opposition. It should never be about one man especially one who has had ample time to make something out of his career. I am hoping Nwakali's situation get's better for once. Also, let's not forget the older Nwakali.

Subzero47:
While Pinnick and Eguavoen are jollying in London they should help out with Nwakali's club situation, I think Nwakali will be a pivotal member of the SE in the years to come

I have seen Sadiq in the national team. And my verdict is he is our #2 man!
Osimhen is still the man. All the things Victor is being criticised for lately is just as a result of his recent games. Victor is still far from his full potential yet. And you know what that means.

Why is he a super fan of Ighalo?. UK na he bench mark. When any player does very well there, the player becomes his best. But he favors those who have gone through UK system more though. .
Omanambala:
No , he always deride and condemn them very harshly. There is an element of hate in his criticisms.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 3:58pm On Feb 19, 2022

Not true

codemaniacs:
komekn doesn't rate any Nigeria born and raised players..

For him, As long as they are born in England or in E:urope or U.S.A then that immediately means they are better than Nigerian born and raised players..

So please for your sake don't engage him when its between Nigeria born and raised players and players born in Europe.

I wish say football na maths like that.. The moment Ighalo go EPL, he becomes better than Awoniyi and co?

yinkeys:
He shouldn’t be.
Saudi league doesn’t make sense
Ighalo has lost the pace he had in 2019
We have younger forwards in more competitive leagues.
Awoniyi, Osimhen, Onuachu, Dessers, Moffi.
He’s another Umar Sadiq if you ask me
It would be absurd if they recall Ighalo.
He retired in 2019
Don’t know why he’s still in the discussion mix
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 7:49pm On Feb 18, 2022
I just hope he has a good agent. I would love to see him in France.

andrewbaba44:
He should not move to any ekuke league from South Africa ooo

Moving to Belgium ,France won’t be bad for ndah
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 7:47pm On Feb 18, 2022
Don't forget Ighalo is still in the mix. At his best, he can make a huge difference. He brings lots of experience for a game of that magnitude. The choices are there. I trust Amuneke's input in this regard.

I misread "starter". Thought you said "striker"

andrewbaba44:
You are right

If the coach can also fit him in as a starter I am also okay by that

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 7:37pm On Feb 18, 2022
I personally have no fear about the playoffs.

I think Eguavoen and Amuneke will make a perfect chemistry.

Expect the boys to play to their full potential. Osimhen will be served well. Dennis will be blazing. Moses will be his recent self. With Onyeka, Ndidi's work will get easier.. We will have good workrate in the midfield. And I am comfortable with Aribo playing as AM. We just need the right mix in CB. We are good to go, hoping Okoye will be at his best.

I also feel a player like Lookman will make sudden impact. Musa should be playing a role model now and just accept the inevitable.

Sometimes debutants can make immediate impact. Can prove risky though.

Consider Super Falcon's recent win against CIV. Also remember Victor Moses' debut
