Abi for club level dem dey pick where dem wan play.? You are asked to play where you are needed at any given point in time. The main reason you are invited is to be integrated into the team wherever the need is at any given point in time. If I understand you question in bolded, he played as an RB and RWB at club level prior to his call up. So it is fair to also rate him in that position because he got his invitation by virtue of current club performance at the time abi? andrewbaba44: He is now a RWB and a good cb
Before playing as a RWB for his club was he tested as a cb for the eagles ?
How can someone proove he is better than your current CB when you didn’t play him there at the national team |

Was referring to his first game as an RB. In the subsequent games did he prove he was better than our current CBs? Besides. Na RB and RWB Akpoguma dey play now week in week out andrewbaba44: Is akpoguma a RB normally ?
Akpos played 4 games and was not woeful abeg |

Who were our fullbacks then? Ola Aina played himself out of Russia 2018 with one poor performance. Similar thing with Akpoguma who was woeful as an RB. But again some of these players need more time to show their true color. Akpoguma has not impressed for us yet. He has to be patient to prove his worth in the NT. I was just saying he can wait on like Torunarigha and Uduokhai andrewbaba44: At least Ola aina wasn’t better than the available options there then and you can confirm that
I didn’t make noise about akpos missing the afcon
I am just pointing out how some things can be very painful
You want Felix and Toru in the eagles or what ? |

Once a Foreign born commits to us and play several games for us, I no dey cut them any slack again. Akpoguma was not in the original list to the AFCON. .No be Rohr fault be that? Rohr has been long sacked. If he wan vex make he continue to the vex. Whenever he ready we will not be trying to make passport etc. As long as he is good enough he should announce his intention to return. Ola Aina no vex when he missed out of Russia 2018. Ajayi jumped on the opportunity to replace injured Balogun. These are professionals who have made a decision and have stuck to it. As for Akpoguma, if he mind still dey Germany, he can go on his second waiting spell. Hello Toru and Felix!!! andrewbaba44: Awaziem is a CB
FYI akpos was the one that made ajayi played at the afcon according to the coaching crew . |

una just dey make noise. If na Rohr now many of you go talk say afterall he is on standby list, he will not get to play I remember such kind of excuses back then. I no say u dey among those monikers oh JohnBullMySon: I don't support the inclusion of worthless players by anyone. But please, Onazi's case is far worse than Rohr's previous selections. We are not talking about a young talent here. We are talking about a player who is 35 years old by football age, has had a career already with the NT and on a steady decline into retirement. Let me not even mention the league.
Whoever is responsible for Onazi's inclusion is a Tier 1 idiot. Honestly. |

I knew it when I saw Onazi.. AND SHEHU chrisooblog: Just listening to twitter space with Colin Udoh about the squad for the WcQ.
Claims some sources in the NFF told him three of the players in the squad were probably chosen without the coaches really asking for them.
Also claims "Jibola" was selected by the higher ups for the AFCON not really Equavoen. |

The funny thing is Tom Dele Bashiru, Ejaria are not stand out regulars this season. I can't think of any midfielder in the UK lower leagues that is doing well besides Billing (not available to us). So I am really wondering the direction he will go with this. An unfit Etebo? Philosopher1979: Alhassan Yusuf does not have a long way to go. He is doing very well for Royal Antwerp and has 2 man of the match awards. The Belgian league is rated higher than the Scottish league and yet you rate players in rangers such as Calvin basset above him. I repeat Alhassan Yusuf deserves to be in our midfield. In 2020 he was rated as one of the best ball distributors under the age of 21. It's ridiculous he is not in the team |

"Alhassan has a long way to prove his quality". So please tell me which "quality" midfield backups do we have available? komekn: Look at Dessers goals this season , he had been a sub all season and scored 4 goals it's not good enough.
Akpoguma is not better than Calvin and Alhasssan has a long way to go to prove his quality. |

We are already loaded in the wings. They picked him for the midfield. Your question still valid. 13large: How in the heck did an inexperienced player like amoo get selected ahead of ejuke or Nwakaeme? People usually get impressed when players impresses at Lower league and will ask for them to replace they ones at a superior league. On current form, amoo isn’t better than Ejuke. Overall, it’s not a biggie. The biggie is lack of enough cm |

If you do not have great options look to weaker leagues for the top performers just as we are doing with Sadiq. A half fit Etebo can't be better than Obinna and Yusuf who are performing regularly. Our forwards are not gonna slot in to midfield roles Wetin Amoo one do for match of this magnitude. he has a big future, but this is not the time to gamble. 13large: And the Ghanaians actually have a fair decent midfield not as good as the essien era, but are decent. As for me, I am going into the game with a free mind i don Dey lose interest self in World Cup. A tournament that an African team can never win. May the best team qualify |

Yusuf is primarily a CM, but can play DM etc (Versatile, Kante-like) Nwobodo is a DM. Who else in this squad do we have to replace Ndidi. Who to replace Onyeka for example? Since you are saying Amoo and Etebo are the best back-ups at the moment. mostob: Oga, there is no debate here. Tell me their primary position or move on. TBH, either of the two should have been invited ahead of Onazi but saying they will replace Etebo and Amoo does not in anyway correlate. |

Na Etebo go replace Ndidi. Amoo go replace Onyeka. Abi we go use Sadiq replace one of them 13large: Actually a good formation in an away game but if any injuries occurs to the midfield, we’re a toast |
