..s. TheGoodJoe: So explain why Maduabuchi, a 16 years old boy failed the MRI test? A genuine 16 years old with his date of birth captured in the American database?
The MRI scan is a criteria Nigeria has agreed to abide by not because it is accurate in helping us find our best quality talents in the U17 age grade but it helps us limit the chances of overage players breaking into the team.
The main idea of the MRI scan is that, it is hard for an old player to pass but there is a bigger chances for young players to fail.
A lesser amount of young players fail but a high amount of older players fail. As long as we have less overage players, we are okay to lose some high quality young players to achieve this. Does not mean all players that fail are overaged.
Ndidi was groomed by a National hero from young age, watched grow. Not some old man that came out of the blues to enter U17 team. Keep in mind Nduka Ugbade became one of the U17 coaches that period. |

I don’t have time for your long epistle. Mind you I said you were not making an intelligent argument. I didnt say you were not intelligent. You wouldn’t need to say much if you were. benji93: So? For all your intelligence, you seem to be inadequate in your ability to make sense of opinions by considering their premises. I clearly stated in a follow-up post that this is an argument from experience with the development of people from humble backgrounds, as such it's not a logical development of facts. And who says i need to develop an opinion based on logic? Anyone is allowed to bring forth an argument provided they provide its premise/premises. An important part of a fruitful argument is that all parties involved must be on the same page, or at least understand the premise of each other's arguments. Besides, i was only joking with the addition of the fact that Mikel Obi is closer to his actual age than Ndidi is, although i believe that is likely. Some of you roll over the place claiming to be the connoisseurs of intelligent submissions, meanwhile, but usual don't even know what that entails. While claiming something is logical you pull in emotional thoughts(generally). Again i am allowed to vent an opinion i believe is very likely partially/completely based on my experience. Now as an intelligent thinker, you ought to ask what my reasons for that opinion are, after which a more fruitful argument can take off. If we really want to base this on logic, then there would likely be no argument at all. I would need to provide MRI test results, then provide a calibrated standard for interpreting such a result. I do not have access to such means, and i am allowed to argue from a different perspective. So you may think about this and come back with something better. |

You are not making an intelligent argument benji93: Eye test. You don't have to believe it. I watched Obi during the 2005 under 20 championship and that was what i saw then. |

I don’t care about this player stats comparison, but, MIkel way closer to his actual age than Ndidi? How did you come up with that? benji93: Honestly, this is not enough to make such an argument. Circumstantially, they were brewed differently. Perhaps if Mikel had played for a comparably lower team like Genk when he was learning the trade perhaps he would have more goals to his name. Just maybe. He featured for lyn 6 times before he moved to Chelsea. Just wait. Let's see how he fairs as he moves up to better teams. Only time will tell. Besides Mikel is way closer to his actual age than Ndidi. . Just a note. |

“I was blessed and privileged to play with the older ones, the golden generation of Sunday Oliseh and Finidi George, and everybody that was in that set up, in the 2002 Nations Cup.
“Overall one player that was very key and I still think is irreplaceable in the team with his quality is Jay-Jay Okocha because he’s a playmaker. He’s somebody that on his good day can win you a game on his own.
“As my teammate, the things that I saw him do in training, some people didn’t see that in the game, he’s unique, he’s phenomenal,” Yobo told Nigeria Info FM Port Harcourt.

See epistle. No put too much energy for the matter. I have other things to do than reading allthis. ChrisKels: Wait oo, so teaching you something u never knew or giving u a simple correction now translates to defending Biafra and carrying tribes for head? Lol that just showed ur intention. Nice try, Omeruo is from ur village sir. U happy now?
In Igbo land, we say "Igbo na-asu n'olu n'olu" which means Igbos are dialectical, hence, the creation of "Igbo Izugbe"(the central Igbo). While we have the popular Igbo names(e.g Okocha, Okeke, Okafor, Okorie etc) that are common to every Igbo clan from Abia to Ebonyi to Enugu to Imo to Anambra to Rivers to Delta etc, we also have many names that are almost distinct to different clans. When u tell a man from Abia that your surname is Asogwa, Ezea, Onyia, Eneje, Duru he would give you that strange look like "which kind names be this?", but these are common surnames in Nsukka Enugu state, in the same vain, when a man from Enugu hears Agbai, Ajala, Agba, Ukeje, Duroha, Nmecha, Onoka, Isika, Ntori he would kinda look at you in disbelieve due to their strangeness to him but these are Igbo surnames from Isuikwuato LGA of Abia State. As an outsider, the Igbo names u can easy identify are popular surnames and the late 20th century to 21st century names because they always come with the "Chi" or "chukwu" suffix or prefix.
Being an Igbo historian, I can easily guess ones local government area by merely hearing his surname |

Well it’s clear they want to make him uncomfortable. Now it’s up to him to take better offers elsewhere or not. That they are making the terms public, we can see the handwriting on the wall. BascoVanVeli: I think the right thing to do was to put contract discussions off until the world is in a stable place. That said I see no issue in the terms put on the table. There was nothing mind blowing, the only question is If the coach wants to stay in Nigeria or not. I do have a major problem with the publicizing of the terms prior to a contract being signed in that manner. |

I think Rohr’s strengths is something we badly need. What they should be doing is finding him a very good assistant. They recruited Yobo and some of us celebrated. I think una eye done dey clear now about their intentions. Questionable decisions is always a bad sign. . junnyjake: I don't like Rohr and I advocated for his sack immediately after the World Cup.
Sacking him now is really wrong timing as he's been able to bring a bit of stability to the team. |

They are looking for an easy fix to a problem that is their responsibility. They need to be serious about improving the league and not thinking one whiteman can come and do magic in the league. And yes you are right. They are inserting clauses that will be difficult for Rohr to accept. Danielnino00: From the terms of the contract,it's easy to see the Pinnick and fhe NFF don't want Rohr again... I don't understand why they want him to live in Nigeria and nurture NPFL players... I'm fine with him living in the country and watching some NPFL games to identify some decent players in the league who can add something to the team(I doubt if such players exist ) but nurturing them is another thing... What then becomes the job of the NPFL coaches ? Won't it be better if he spend that amount of time searching for better players abroad? Our best players are abroad. That much has been proven..
They just want to frustrate the man...
Keshi had an habit of reserving some slots in all of his national team call up for local players (as per NFF directives I'm sure), but it didn't do much to improve the state of the league.. |

Rohr all this while has been working as an expatriate. If they succeed to forcing/convincing him to be domiciled I’m Nigeria he may as well accept being paid in Naira. However being paid with a global currency makes it easier for foreigners who conduct most of their transactions abroad. do4luv14: Yes you are right,
bbut then he wasnt employed by an international firm, he was employed by a local firm,
so how is it unfair, when that local firm decides to pay him in local currency instead of international currency
most especially when you look at it, a 1m dollar, is almost or close to 10, or 100 m naira
now the question is, which currency is being strained to favour the other? |

Rohr is not paid in Deutsche Mark or Euros but dollars. That tells you something. The US Dollars is a global currency do4luv14: Pinnick should extends the naira payment to the players too,
we will know those that want to rep us tro it,
as for you all bashing Pinnick for the naira payment
Joebie, and Komekn. You both work and stay in Britain, are you both paid in Dollars? Or better still naira or Euros?

For those who believe in God Almighty and are Christians, pray and take the needed precautions. There is nothing to be afraid of if you have accepted Christ. The Bible says God does not give us the Spirit of fear, so don’t fall to the fear mongers and to some pastors now who are busy spreading conspiracy theories. Pray, take precautions and leave the rest to God. |

For majority of the games Mikel played for Chelsea he kept his game simple though it was a crucial role for Chelsea’s many wins. Okocha however always stood out and his impact in games were obvious. These two players are in two different wave lengths. |
