As far as Samu has not done those things in the SE, Rohr will not rate him better than the players he has currently

My argument remains Samu is not the kind of player to warm the bench. He will put a good challenge against any player who start ahead of him in the SE, unlike some of these names u guys are reeling out so called untouchables — some of which have been comfortable bench warmers in SE over a while now. Onyekuru and Samu are equal on market value according to transfermarkt. Give them another year and u know what will happen.

Oga Samu has proved himself against the best clubs in Spain. Current, most recent, top class performance in just his first pro season. If you are saying Rohr will not drop the other players for Chuks, that’s a whole different argument. Make it clear.

Let’s talk performance, if we go by club form this season, Samu is an exceptional young talent and can gate crash this squad easily if given more minutes in the SE

Let’s put sentiments aside Samu is good enough for AFCON. And he is not the kind of player to be satisfied in bench. There is no winger in the team now that is GUARANTEED to start ahead of him. That the kind of competiom we need in all the departments of our team.

This type na once in a blue moon. We may as well not approach any foreign born and see how many of them will turn down overtures from other countries.

I agree with you on the opinion that the AFCON would expose us. My "wanting us yo win" wouldn't make us win. Rather, hardworking, good tactics, excellent man-management and the right player selection with luck on our aide should increase our chances of success.

It will be sad if we don't win or at least reach the semis because this team has received unprecedented support compared to the other teams (historically).

Please let's not get carried away. Right now, I would still rate the likes of Morocco, Senegal, and even Egypt ahead of us. I think the AFCON will expose us.

Set targets if you want. Some of us have been following the AFCON for 4 decades and so we have seen the highs and lows of it. I will just advise you to relax, stop pressing the panic botton and enjoy the nations cup. We can only wish the team Success.

You are the one implying I said “friendly only” was I suppose to judge SE going into the WC based on their WC qualifiers? .

If their performances does not inspire confidence I won’t say a different thing. We all hoped the SE will show us a different side at the WC proper. Some of us including myself was even opining the Rohr some cards kept to his chest. The truth is we already know Rohr’s capabilities. I won’t expect much barring surprises. And I hope I will be surprised because I really do want SE to do well.

If u just expect a decent outing you shouldn’t be panicked by what I said earlier. I just have a very high expectation from Rohr based on ample support and time he’s had. Granted he has his strengths and I won’t take that away from him. He needs better assistants if we are going to progress from our past accomplishments.

I do not even believe in that Philosophy of "you are only as good as your last game".
I have not set any target for the team neither am I pressing any panic botton like you are doing.

Musa shows up when it matters most while Ighalo chickens out. Thats not to say Musa made the right move. Ighalo's prodigalities in front of goal are well documented. Ighalo is a rope of sand as long as the national team is concerned while Musa is a hero. Musa has played and excelled at the highest level, national team wise, while, Ighalo has been a colossal fiasco, hence, it's preposterous comparing the two. Musa as a wing forward promises more goals(very vital ones for that) than Ighalo as a striker.

His passing also improved and he was very balanced in his play.

I think he is the most improved player.

Nwakali na youth player. I’m not sold until I see him perform at a high stage.

If there is a third #9 spot vacant in SE, it would be a tough battle for the final slot. I would rather go with Osimhen. Ighalo, Osimhen and Onuachu. All different kind of strikers. They bring something different to the table

Where does Okoroji’s allegiance lie? If I were Rohr, I will be looking at our full back options. Okoroji and Iorfa will be good additions in the future.

We would need both Ndidi and Mikel’s current form going into AFCON
