Our Nigerian football discussions and arguments for the past 12 calendar months culminates in each and every one of us making our opinion count as regards the best players in the Super Eagles shirt for 2018. Voting ends tomorrow. Have your say. Please can we put every other discussion in the back burner for now and promote this voting process. It’s still surprising to me that some of us who came here for football talk have been busy arguing feminism and politics but have failed to vote. We have guests visiting this thread regularly. We all have the collective responsibility of promoting the Super Eagles. Voting is open to all Nairalanders for that matter. How would you know if you don’t let them compete since they are all Nigerians? I’m sure u would find great and poor players in both camps. Danielnino00: Mehn..
This foreign born issue is getting serious ooo..
What exactly is so special about these foreign born players that make their fans want them to be called up to the super eagles the moment they play a few games?? Are they even better than our own home grown players? |

We should go all out for him and seek Iwobi’s assistance. He could be an asset as LB. We only have Collins right now, and I don’t see our LB problems going away. tbaba1234: Nigeria should lure this Bukayo Saka kid if possible. Really talented 17 year old.

Komekn is this not what you’ve always termed standout performance in a lower league? charlesemeka85: 19 year old Nigerian midfielder Kingsley Michael was for the fourth time in 12 games for Perugia voted as Man of the Match as they battle to a precious away point against Lecce in the Serie B.
Second placed Lecce came into the fixture needing a win to close the gap on league leaders Palermo but failed to break down a very resilient Perugia side who had their Nigerian midfielder Michael in full flight.
He dominated the midfield duels and nullified most of their threats from the midfield and in the end picked up his fourth man of the match accolades in addition to the ones he picked for his performance against Cozenza, Padova and Crotone.
Already talks are on about a possible recall by his loan club Bologna in January as the club are currently stuck in the drop zone in 18th position on the 20 team Serie A table with just 11 points from 15 games played so far.
Michael spent the summer with the main team during pre season and he was heavily tipped for a spot in the team during the league proper but he was later loaned out just before the start of the season. |

Na this kind news go fit kill this thread charlesemeka85: Young Nigerian striker Femi Seriki is inching closer to making his debut for EFL League Two club Bury.
The 2003-born player was named in The Shakers 18-man squad for their EFL Trophy clash against Mansfield Town but was not utilized off the bench.
Seriki was temporarily promoted to Bury's first team for the fixture at Field Mill after a string of fine displays for the U18 team, for whom he has scored five goals in eight appearances.
The 15-year-old is among Bury U18s top assists providers having teed up seven goals so far this season.
He would have worn the number 42 kit if he had featured as a substitute against Mansfield Town on December 4.
Nigerian defender Emeka Obi is the youngest player to debut for Bury in the EFL Trophy, against Morecambe aged 15 years and 86 days. |
