His heart is with England obviously. I don’t know if NFF should have done better earlier. But when a player would rather play U21 football for the other country than play at the senior level for Nigeria, it says a lot about here their heart truly is. Same applies to Billing. You win some, u lose some. No hard feelings edi287: Loool for real. Lookman is the only one I'm bothered about. |

I have no idea. Na only dstv I dey watch for here. I have to see about tuning to local channels Icon4s: For those that reside in Abuja and Lagos, please how is the popularity and aerial coverage of CoreTV like?
The SWAN Edo state chapter Vice Chairman, who works with CoreTV Abuja, assured me of the slot after I shared this idea with him. I also intend approaching other popular media outfits.
These awards must not end on the front page of Nairaland. It must get to SWAN and numerous media outfits, The NFF, Rohr and even the players themselves. |

One player plays against the likes of Barca, the other slugs it out against clubs line Wimbledon. It’s not always about longevity, but instant impact in a very high level. However, Ebere’s call was long overdue, considering our lack of personnel in the AM position. komekn: Agreed.
Why is a young player invited to the SE after just 2 games in LA Liga, its essentially we just don't have many true promising young talents in top leagues anymore. I can totally understand the euphoric adoration he gets but i stand on the side of optimistic caution. i.e. small, small lets not force him to run when he has just started walking.
But is there not some double standard, why have Ebere and Josh Maja not been invited to the SE. |

I won’t advice any FB winger to commit to Nigeria now. Their future with Nigeria is not certain. Too much competition. They have to be really outstanding to believe they can make the team. edi287: Samu's emergence has made sure of it. |

I’m not crying over Danjuma. He is not a big loss. We have several decent wingers who have not even gotten a call up. tbaba1234: On Danjuma from OGN
” Injury made him miss the recent games for the Dutch national team but it’s clear to see why he was hurriedly capped by the Netherlands. He isn’t even the best player among the forwards at U21 level, his debut came to many as a surprise but you have to understand his case”, Roland Mark told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” Look he spoke about been open to representing Nigeria at senior level after a game for the U21s. Coach of the senior national team of Netherlands Ronald Koeman was among the people who criticised how Tyronne Ebuehi was lost to Nigeria. His move is to keep away from Nigeria, something they didn’t do with Hakim Ziyech who now plays for Morocco “, he concluded. |

On point! Icon4s: Good, right on time.
Please make your nominations. No Time. Follow the format I set on page 3 . Thanks.
Tbaba1234, Joebie, ChrisKels, Komekn, Forgiveness, TheSuperNerd. With TheSuperNerd unavoidably not available. We went back to the list and Safarigirl is next in line. She has rescinded her earlier decision of opting out. So she can take TheSuperNerd's spot.
Please let's co-opt her so we can move on. Thanks. |

Ok then. Do we ignore illegal nominations in the tally? I guess we still need a 7th committee member to make his/her picks before this step. Icon4s: Sample for Collation.
Each Committee member has nominated 3 players per award category. You just count the frequency of nominations for each player per category across all Committee members. Eg. 1). Nigerian player of the Year nominations: Iwobi 5, Ighalo 3, Musa 4, Moses 2, etc. .Top 3= Iwobi, Musa and Ighalo.
Do this across all the Categories. I am suggesting Sir Joebie to join me in doing this please.
Cc: Tbaba1234, Komekn, Joebie, ChrisKels, Forgiveness, TheSuperNerd.
Deadline for nominations is 6pm (Nairaland time).
Komekn note that u have not made nominations for Most impressive New inclusions as all the players u have been nominating are not elligible. U have till 6pm to tidy this up. Else we move on without your nominations for that category. |
Sports › Re: NNFF Awards, Committee. by Joebie: 4:21pm On Dec 06, 2018 |
Let’s set a deadline for Nerdie, if he doesn’t show up still, let’s see if Safarigirl will rescind her decision. If that fails as well we pick whoever won the votes among those tied at 2. We can go ahead and vote now regardless, for this likely outcome. Modified I vote Kog45 Icon4s: Ok, but if we go ahead with the remaining 6. We could potentially have to break some ties in the nominees mentions. Having 7 members in the committee will ensure we have tie breakers. Do we pick some one from the house to quickly join us in the nominations? I know people who would be willing to. Or we just move on with 6 of us and hope voting for breaking of ties goes well.
Cc: Tbaba1234, Joebie, Forgiveness, Komekn, TheSuperNerd.
We have till 6pm to decide this and then move on |

BTW I hope u know Oliha won the AFCON and played at the 1994 WC.
Okwaraji died playing for Nigeria in a crutial WCQ plus he featured prominently at the 1988 AFCON and scored in the semi against Algeria.
Besides, when we were considering late players to honor why didn't u come up with Muda Lawal.
If you are nominating him now. No wahala. It is your choice. |

We are not good in front of goal either. Based on the part I watched we were the better team though. I started watching from the 56 minute mark. Danielnino00: Oga u are wrong.. South Africa started brightly but we caught up with them and dominated .. this South Africa team only plays fancy football... they are poor in front of goal... |

That’s it! chrisooblog: ok I get you now I agree most of that kind of talk is mostly sentimental we should learn to respect players on their choices of who they want to play for. The only thing I can relate to is if any player says they won't play for us again we should not waste time trying to convince such a player when we have other players who haven't been given a chance |

I singled u out for a response because you are honest. Now, let’s remember the context here. chrisooblog: good question I would say in the global scheme of things we are not a great football nation but if we restrict the analysis to africa then I will say we are one of the great football teams on the continent globally as with all things nigerian we have good potential which we have failed to realise |

So he should turn his back now on Denmark? Can that not also be seen as arrogant? Continue your rant. Modified Boy go spin girl when get BF, the girl says she is committed to her bf, boy go talk say she arrogant? What I’m saying is if Billing eventually decides to continue on his career part with Denmark, it’s his choice. It’s actually the boy who is arrogant since he expects that she has to dump her bf oloriooko: I saw a post about Billing saying he's not thinking about playing for Nigeria and someone said Nigeria has not showed serious intention? To hell with Billing, which kind insult be this? If the dude feels he's too big for 9ja the he should shove his boring career up his azz and go to hell. Nigeria is a great footballing nation that low life like Billing should jostle to play for, not 9ja begging the eediot. He should wait until england calls him up we don't need arrogant eediots like him. Mtchwwwww |
