You have marked yourself
goldfish80:
Lol.. I voted Salah. I'm neither sentimental Chelsea, Liverpool nor Arsenal Brit. I'm just an unbiased bystander who believes Mo deserved the crown. Better luck next time to Vic.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:31am On Dec 12, 2017
A moniker told me It should be based on 16/17 season. But hey rules don’t apply when people vote. I think Moses was the better player in 16/17 season. In fact I voted for him for that reason. But hey Mo has been firing all cylinders even after the shortlist was announced. That will surely sway some voters. I think Salah is the better player for this calendar year.
And to your point we are actually the most biased and sentimental. I strongly feel Mo won beacaiae Egyptians (football fans or not) voted for him overwhelmingly. He is revered in that country.

maidaboi:
only in nigeria we have unbiased non sentimental people
if we swap there country moses would have won cause Egypt will support there own

We will resist you. The context here is football if you want to engage him, keep to that political thread of yours.
We re not his parents. I don’t care what you do in your bedroom as long as u don’t bring it where I am.

g0tze:
Super eagles sports fans, i am here to report to the house the childish and irresponsible behaviour of one of your own TheGoodJoe or Cityjoe. I have been his fan on this thread till he dabbled into some threads in the political section. His posts portrayed him as a full blown tribalist.
Anybody that knows TheGoodJoe should warned him to refrain from posting tribal comments on the political thread otherwise this once peaceful thread will become a theatre of war.

A question I have always asked.

elunico:
Putting pressure on the team bi ti bawo? I'm lost. Does the coaching crew come here to validate their decisions as regard the team? Or does everyone on this thread have direct link to the NFF and the coaches?
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 1:41am On Dec 12, 2017

Someone engaged me on this regard in the past I knew it would happen.

Mujtahida:
But the award is supposed to be based on last season na. Was Salah in the EPL last season?

Whatever we say here is whatever.
Enyema is in Rohr’s plans as long as he meets the conditions.

MetalJigsaw:
Good. so since he's not in form let's f us on other goalkeepers and stop clamouring to "convince" him to return as if he's Buff on.

Where is Habib Makanjuola?
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie:
Rohr has been doing the needed talking with him. But he did not stop there. He also gave conditions meaning he wasn’t giving Enyeama a free pass.

Rohr can do without Enyeama, but Rohr has shown from his utterances that an in-form Enyeama is needed

MetalJigsaw:
Bringing back Enyeama is not a must in Rohr's perspective
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 6:15pm On Dec 11, 2017
You are in the right field. In this life there many people who have no business being doctors, nurses, journalists etc. sir I must say you are not just a lawyer, someday you will be a highly esteemed judge.

Mujtahida:
I watched the interview he had on channels and I watched that of Oliseh. The analysts on channels said both of them are to blame. My position based on what I watched is that none of them is to blame. We just had two people misunderstanding each other. Oliseh gave certain context that made me understand the issues. Both of them acted based on their misunderstood positions.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 6:12pm On Dec 11, 2017
Rohr already said it plainly, Mikel will remain captain. The conditions have been well spelled out as regards Enyeama’s return.
Let’s not make noise over a non-issue.

MetalJigsaw:
The captaincy armband has caused an issue in the team before. So why ruling out its possibility?
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 5:02pm On Dec 11, 2017
Thanks for clearing the air, because it totally makes no sense that Idah will be making such comments after Rohr’s talks with Enyeama directly.
Magink:
Peterside said on the radio which I listened to on Lagos talks that the conversation he had with Enyeama was actually after that Oliseh incident occurred, so this report isn't recent but around last year.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:58pm On Dec 11, 2017
Lol.
If u have been following me u would know I’m very comfortable with Uzoho as our number 1. I’m not sentimental like that.
What’s Idah stake in the matter? Announcing that Enyeama told him this and that. He should just have said Enyeama told me to put it out there. Rohr clearly gave Enyema conditions. And so be it.

Modified
There are some kind of people that will find ur mouth and use it to hurt you. Idah seems to be that kind of person, unless he comes out to say Enyeama told him to put it out there.

safarigirl:
why should Idah shut up? Bexause he is not saying what you want to hear?

Joebie please I have left this Enyeama talk, before I waste my time going in circles over an inconsequential argument. No quote me again about this guy

If you wan tell me anything, tell me about NFF's proposed roadmap to Russia
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:52pm On Dec 11, 2017
Madam. Rohr started the talks with Enyeama without anyone’s approval. The situation will be concluded between Rohr and Enyeama. Peterside Idah needs to shut up.

Modified
I’m a “sucker” for credible information related a credible manner.. not relying on dem says. I rather be wrong that way than to be misled by rumors.

safarigirl:
we are waiting for him to slap us with the NO very well, you know, the way many kept insisting on Tammy Abraham even when he was giving signs he was not interested

If Enyeama does not insult the entire NFF and Nigeria in his rejection, we no go gree hear word. We will keep clamouring for him till we have eggs thrown in our face once again
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:32pm On Dec 11, 2017
People get informed in this thread. I get informed, we all get informed one way or the other. By now u should already know that captaincy will never be an issue whether Enyeama returns or not.

Modified
You don’t seem to know Rohr’s stance on Enyeama
MetalJigsaw:
Answer my question of who will be the team captain since you can seen the future. Don't you know that that issue issue is a potential jeopardizer of the team togetherness?

You're surely the type of dude that easily gets emotionally attached to a woman and keep begging and licking her ass even if she clearly doesn't want you.

Thank goodness Rohr doesn't think the way you do. I thank God that Rohr doesn't have your kind of mentality.

Nigerian Exports : Onyekuru, Efe Ambrose, Odey On Target For European Clubs
Published: December 10, 2017

Nigerian Exports : Onyekuru, Efe Ambrose, Odey On Target For European ClubsThree players who have caps for the Nigerian national team were on target for their respective European clubs in league matches on Sunday, December 10.

In the Scottish Premiership, out-of-favour Super Eagles right back Efe Ambrose opened his goalscoring account in the league as Hibernian were held to a 2-2 draw by Celtic at Easter Road Stadium.

With the home team trailing 2-0, they staged a late comeback courtesy of goals from Ambrose, who tapped home from a corner kick in the 75th minute, and Oliver Shaw.

Over to the Belgian First Division A, Henry Onyekuru hit double-digits in goals when he tallied his tenth of the season across all competitions in Anderlecht's shock 3-1 loss to Sporting Charleroi at Stade Constant Vanden Stock in Brussels.

Anderlecht managed to grab a late consolation goal in the 82nd minute through the Nigeria international, who shrugged off a defender before firing past goalkeeper Penneteau.

Elsewhere, FC Zurich suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Luzern at Stadion Letzigrund, with Stephen Odey registering his first goal for the first team of FC Zurich in the 24th minute.

The former Mountain of Fire attacker made it 1-1 with a powerful left-footed strike from inside the box in the 24th minute.

I hope you had a revealing tour, Agali.
To all of you who get carried away by every headline, take note.

tbaba1234:
Mischievous agents using my name for selfish purposes- Agali

Super Eagles’ Chief Scout, Victor Agali has lambasted players’ agents who are bent on tarnishing his image for their own selfish interests, especially feeding the media with untrue information.

The former Super Eagles’ forward, who was recently appointed by Coach Gernot Rohr as the official scout for the senior national team, told AOIFootball.com that his activities are solely reported to the coach and insinuations that he makes comments about who the coach invites to the team and who will make the World Cup squad are very untrue.

“It is funny when I read stories about me and my job in the media, as though I report my activities to them. I read one that I have told coach Rohr about some new players he should invite and those he should not invite. I have also been quoted as saying some players deserve to be in the World Cup squad and some do not. These are all false claims.

“I am a professional and cannot make such statements in the public because it is not my job to do so. I want to use this medium to say to agents who use my name as propaganda for their players to stop doing so. It is not right and will not get to any good end after all,” Agali said.

The former OGC Nice attacker also pointed out that his job description is clear.

Agali recently returned to the country after a scouting tour of Europe.

we sef and tagging.
The real questions is how many German-Nigerians have we courted in comparison to Anglo-Nigerians?
We also need to consider other factors. The timing of our approach. Let us approach all those Anglo-Nigerians in league one and the Championship and you will see a shift. But I wouldn't support that.

Humility017:
straightforward that they wanna play for England....
I think the German born have been more straightforward....wit the heading of their international career...
if they wanna play for you...they say it straight.
unlike the English players who will only use the super eagles draw up Southgate and co...attention....not because they really wanna play....

how many of them have really been straightforward as regard playing for us...

I remember pinnick started courting Tammy a long-time ago...him and his Dad...keep saying he wanna progress through the English youth system first...same reason ejaria, onomah and ilorfa gave....

had it been they were straightforward like iwobi...wit their fathers connection wit pinnick especially the deltans amongst them..they would have been in the super eagles by now....
I can vividly tell you.. it would have rub off on their career as well....
remember mikel's comment on Aina while he was still in Chelsea when aina eventually made up his mind...things fell into places...

what happened to uzoho this weekend bro...any gist?

I actually think most have been straightforward.
We have to accept they are always torn between two countries. It's understandable.

Humility017:
many of this english groomed players would have been in the super eagles by now...had it been they were straightforward and more resolute wit their decision to play for us....especaliy illorfa junior...

you see opportunities sometimes often don't come twice...even when it does it takes a while....
very few...I repeat few...will end up play for England.
so the safer side would have been the super eagles....just like Aina who now plays for the super eagles...

We will start talking when you make Lille's first team and show that you are back in form.
I'm sure Rohr will not be making another approach. There is nothing more to be said. Just say you are ready to return, else keep doing your thing. We can do without you anyway.

Welcome again Uzoho!

Humility017:
Enyeama Could Beat Rufai's World Cup Record, Saves Penalty On Return From Injury

Former Nigeria international Vincent Enyeama played his first game in over seven months as the reserve team of Lille beat Croix Football IC 3-1 in the Championnat National 2 Group C, equivalent of fourth-tier.
Prior to stepping out onto the Complexe Sportif de Luchin (Camphin-en-Pévèle) turf on Saturday evening, the 35-year-old last figured for Lille at any level on April 15, 2017 when the first team lost 2-0 to Rennes in Ligue 1.
Having returned to full fitness, Enyeama agreed to play against Croix Football IC and was impressive, and the highlight of his performance was saving a penalty kick.
Enyeama expressed his pleasure at returning to action, posting on social media : ''God has been so faithful.7 months and some weeks, God has taken me up. I had my 1st game.
''I want to thank everyone that worked for this day to happen. God bless you all.''
Enyeama will become Nigeria's oldest player to feature at the World Cup if he rescinds his decision to quit the national team and is selected for the mundial by Gernot Rohr.
Legendary goalkeeper Peter Rufai is the oldest Nigerian to feature at the World Cup, at the age of 34 years, 10 months and 4 days.

Yes it would be great if he missed the world cup. He will have another 4 years to think about his international future, that's IF he will have a choice.
grin

Tammy is a very good player, it's just that the draught season has come for him.

goldfish80:
I can see the hype about Tammy Abraham have ceased and reality have set in. I've always maintained that guy was an average man.
Statistically, Swansea managed just 4shots on target in the month of November when he lead their attack. The team have become much more dangerous going forward since Wilfred Bony have been reinstalled in the attack.
On the back of this form, he won't make the English D-team if there was one.

I think that declare policy that TheGoodJoe has always canvassed for should apply to players who we once made a move for but declined for whatever reasons. They should declare that they are now available, and IFFF we think we still need them we can open a line of communication with them.
