Christianity EtcRe: These Bible Verses Supports Daddy Freeze On Tithing. by Joebie: 3:37am On Dec 16, 2017
How do you mean by true Christian?

lovingJehovah:
No true Christian tithes or supports it. That law of tithing is now a waste. Jesus took it away at his death on the stake.
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by Joebie: 2:44am On Dec 16, 2017
Yes it is already expensive. Somebody already benefits from that.
And the insurance companies too benefit immensely from the system. I guess you know how insurance work.

Of course it is a choice, and many Nigerians would love to have their children born in the US, but what is the financial guideline? And why is that? Think
Why do the US grant this? To "help" Nigerians?

Beautyaddy:
That's not true.

The US healthcare is already expensive and most are paid from the citizens private insurance or medicaid gotten by very low income US tax payers.

Most people going to birth in the US do it to obtain automatic US citizenship for their kids. It's a choice most women decide all on their own. Matter of fact, the population of the US is already so high and most US citizens are already birthing every minute, every day.

Some visitors who do decide to give birth in the US do not pay that high medical cost for child birth due to discounts offered to them.
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by Joebie: 2:13am On Dec 16, 2017
Fyorgin , the system is really bad. Over in the US, the government ensure that the big companies -- the insurance and pharmaceutical companies -- make lots of money from the flawed health care system. They also ensure that many foreigners come and spend $25k (is it? )each just to give birth. Well I can't expect Nigerians to see the big picture.. It's a whole different perspective especially for Nigerians who don't really know how the US government works.
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by Joebie: 2:05am On Dec 16, 2017
Let me add that they want to be sure you have the funds. It benefits the United States that way.
They will give a million visas as long a they all have the funds.. come to think of it.. it's business

Fyorgyn:
I honestly think the VO did her a huge favour.

This way, she can use the visa to birth in the US without stress. Heavily pregnant women have been turned back from POE because they did not declare their intention... she has declared her intention AND has shown proof that she can afford it.

Someone on the birthing thread here on NL with a valid visa had to apply for visa to declare her intention to give birth in the US.

What is common sense about that? Explain
I guess it's commonsense to a group of people who think a particular way.
The VO may have asked those question in a different way.
Of course I'm not saying I expect her to say everything as it happened verbatim.

Modified
Never knew every visa is a multiple one.. I just learned something.

LadyGuinivere:
Yes.
It's commonsense. She just got married. Every visa is a multiple one. Though she's not pregnant now, there's a high likelihood she will be soon. So the vo dosent give her a Chance to be 'Naija'where she'll come and write letter of intent later.
It's better this way

It's not clear enough.
But your point is valid.
Which is why I had asked --"...multiple visa entry"
Fyorgyn:
I think her post is clear enough.

She is not pregnant at this time but if she does get pregnant, within the validity of her visa, she will be happy to birth in the US.

Couldn't have been a typo. The post says the interviewer asked twice

Well I was following the flow of the interview.
It's funny what we are made to go though at the embassies. Some of the questions didn't make sense to me.
You had already told the interviewer that you planned to stay in the US for 3 weeks and that you were not pregnant.
Most of the following questions didn't make sense.

Well maybe it's just me seeing it that way.

I am finding it a bit difficult to understand your point/question.
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by Joebie: 9:46pm On Dec 15, 2017
Ummmmm
U are not pregnant, and u intend to be in the US for just 3 weeks.
How come the question if you intend to give birth in the US and the request of proof of funds to meet that purpose?
Or was it a multiple entry visa?

jayfierce:
LONG POST ALERT

While waiting on the queue for my turn to be interviewed, I couldnt help but overhear the persons being interviewed. It was kind of depressing. The way some of them answered to questions asked made me wonder if the problem was lack of preparation or anxiety.

A man that was going for a business conference being paid for by his organisation couldnt answer to the question 'what do u do in the organization?' The VO asked him three times. After the last attempt to get an answer from him he was denied.

Two persons that applied for student visas couldn't express themselves properly, beating abt the bush when asked the reason for wanting to study their particular courses.

Then my turn came.

Me: Good morning.
VO: Passport pls.
Me: I handed it over.
VO: she looks at it, scans it and types on her keyboard.
VO: What are you going to TX for?
Me: My husband and I are going on vacation.
VO: Does your husband have a valid visa?
Me: Yes, he does.
VO: Can I see it?
Me: Opens my husband's passport to the Visa page and hands it accross to her.
VO: She looks at it and types on her system, she nods. Gives it back.
VO: Who are you visiting in TX?
Me: My sis-in-law.
VO: Types and nods again.
VO: What do you do?
Me: I'm a homemaker.
VO: What does your husband do?
Me: He's a.......in ......LTD.
VO: More typing. She asks to see my husband's visa again.
Me: Hands it over again.
VO: More typing.
VO: How long have you been married?
Me: Abt 6 weeks.
VO: Are you pregnant?
Me: No.
VO: Where did you meet your husband?
Me: We met in church.
VO: When did you get engaged?
Me: Gave her the date.
VO: When did you get married?
Me: Gave her exact date this time.
VO: Types some more.
VO: Have you visited any other country?
Me: Yes, Dubai.
VO: Do you have your old passport here?
Me: Yes I do and gave it to her.
VO: She looks at the stamps and nods.
VO: How long to you intend to be in the US for?
Me: 3 weeks.
VO: Has your husband been to the US before? (She already saw the Visa and entry stamp. She must have asked again for reasons known to her).
Me: Yes. Just once.
VO: How long did he stay?
Me: 3 weeks.
VO: More typing and nodding.
VO: Would you like to give birth in the States?
Me: I would love to.
VO: Are you pregnant? (Asking for the second time)
Me: No
VO: Do you know what it would cost to give birth in the US?
Me: About $25k which would cover medical, accommodation and any incidental expense.
VO: Nods and types some more.
VO: Do you have documents showing that you have the funds to give birth in the US?
Me: I said yes and handed our financial documents over to her. Initially wanted to give her only my husband's first but she insisted on having all.
VO: Looks at the figures and calls out the balance amount on the mutual funds statement for confirmation
Me: Yes that's the amount.
VO: I'll be keeping these documents to ascertain their credibility. Are you comfortable leaving these documents with me?
Me: Of course, sure.
VO: (nodding and picking up a white slip ) In the event that we find it credible, we'll be issuing ur visa. You'll find the instructions for pick up on this (handing me the white slip)
Me: Thank you

Interview lasted quite longer that expected, plus or minus 10mins. I thank God for His grace and favour. It was discouraging to witness a lot of people being denied- families, singles, students, a group. Hubby thinks the final decision it's a type of administrative processing but I don't think so since I didn't get that form.

There is nothing to be scared about. You chose the right Visa Type.
You never even reach interview venue, u dey fear.
Calm down. It’s not a do or die affair. Keep this in mind as it will help you during your interview

Champora:
Dear Naira landers good evening and I hope you're well. Thanks so much for your information. I read through and I tried to follow the tips I got while filling my ds-160 form and scheduling an appointment. The closest date I saw as of this evening was Feb 5.

I tried not to make any errors but please I'd like to ask this (I'd asked in a group before but I'd like to confirm here.)

For those who just recently scheduled an appointment for B1/B2, does your visa category say: "All Others" just like mine says?

I was scared when I saw it wondering if I'd made a mistake. I've checked my ds-160 form and I can't find an error concerning the visa type as I'd specified "B1" and "temporary business visitor."

So please is the "all others" normal? Or I need to fix it if it's an error. Thanks a lot.

My point is if we must pick players from the big leagues they should be at least above average

Modified
I know you like to be objective and run with league rankings.
Let me advise you. watch other leagues and be a little subjective as well. Appreciate football generally. There is more to football beyond the English leagues.

komekn:
When a league is rated 10 positions above another the matter of superiority is not for debate.

That there are exceptional players in low level leagues is not in doubt. However, they stand out and end up leaving as they become so outstanding.

If we pick players from low level leagues they should be unquestionably outstanding. That's my position.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 9:13pm On Dec 15, 2017
The point is you have to accept the MRI anyways.
If you want to assume that 100% of Nigerians who pass the test are age cheats by a 2/3 years margin, it remains a mere assumption. For me, most — if not all — are actually within the said age range.
komekn:
In all developed countries thier is automatic birth data capture at birth indeed even prior there is data.

The MRI is the best thing that happened to Nigerian football, it means the wholescale blatant abuse of the past where old men declared themselves as teenagers has stopped.

However, being Nigerian where there is a will there is a way. A Nigerian born in the USA failed his MRI scan for the U17 team.

If you cut age it's almost now impossible to shade 4/5/6 years off your age. Possibly 2/3 years but not much else.

If you have a problem with one or two invites that does not make the whole system flawed.
Or is there anywhere in the world where there is a rule book or something for every coach that comes in?

No i'm not in support of castigating any player.
I'm #TeamPeformance anyway.
I was just making a case that we have to accept the MRI standard and stop casting doubts on the ages of the players that have been tested.

forgiveness:
I do accept the age of those who passed the MRI but I don't believe because their age is almost correct other players informed should be discarded based on age cheat in the past.

I have long accepted the MRI as a very very very good standard.
You say the MRI is not 100%, the yardstick that you have been using to measure the EPL, is it fool proof, sir Komekn ?
If we choose not to accept the ages of the players that have passed the MRI, then let's also not trust science. Everything is hardly 100% accurate.

forgiveness:
Honestly, it is indeed ludicrous to use age as a standard to discredit players.

You are right on point.

Sir, the context is development.
EPL being very competitive is just one issue. Also consider that over half of the teams there have a very poor playing philosophy, and I don't care how much gra gra they bring to their matches.
Most of our players are better of developing elsewhere. And of course they can come to the EPL much later, and hopefully sign for bigger teams with superior tactics.

komekn:
If you can't stand the heat do not go into the kitchen.

Competition does not reduce quality it increase it, by implication you are implying he is not good enough. He needs bto understand the speed, intensity and physicality of the EPL is unlike any other league in the World. That's why it is the most competitive.

The reality is that KC has been unable to cut it and if he can't cut it at Leicester then he will not be moving to Arsenal or Tottenham. Bit he will not be the first or last. This is why the EPL is not for everyone.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 12:29am On Dec 15, 2017
It's one thing to say a league is better than the other competitively. Yet it's another to say one is supreme and the other is trash.
All I have said is these so called back water league aren't as bad as many of us want to make it seem.
These days I've started paying attention to other leagues and I must say the level has been quite high.

komekn:
A indicative way of looking at things to measuring the superiority of the league.

Look at the top 10 rated FIFA national teams and ascertain what % of these players play in the EPL comparative to other leagues.

Belguim as a national team the bulk of thier quality players do not play in Belgium.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 2:48am On Dec 14, 2017
All those talking down all leagues but the EPL, do u ever get to watch those games. I watched Den Haag versus Roda today and the competition was quite fierce. These leagues are not trashy as some of us would like to think.
Even the Jupiler league - the few games I’ve watched so far — is pretty good.
Some of our players are underrated. I will be vindicated when they come up against the so called EPL great players in the WC hopefully.
