My God is a God of fairness. Let the better team carry the day. Lol |
With the likely return of J.Obi, we don't NEED Aluko. Make una stop to use that word -- need daveP: |
I've been on transit my bro. Just settling in ChrisKels: |
I agree with u as long as u no mention triba.. Lol forgiveness: |
Thank you! I've been saying this -- most sustainable way. TheGoodJoe: |
Never said there is no corruption. try to get my point. Let's not make it seem like every coach is involved. Many of these players are not even in the limelight. For example Aluko, you really have to personally keep tabs with him to know how he is faring in the Championship. Our coaches can always give good reasons for omitting certain players for others. It's hard to say it's always corruption. But in Keshi's time, it seemed glaring. komekn: |
IN Turkey. Same club with Sincere Seth and Azubuike Okechukwu. But has been declared surplus to requirement mumemma: |
Lol goal post don shift. Despite nobody from his side of the country in the NFF and as coach Olanare got called up from china..what about Michael babatunde? Hahahaha . EHaha forgiveness: ![]() |
Please remind us what led to us taking Rufai to France goldfish80: |
According to Rohr, FIFA are demanding a letter from the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) to prove Ola Aina is truly a Nigerian, which the coach considers as strange, as the player already has a Nigerian international passport. The coach revealed during the media parley that he is hopeful the letter from the FGN will come through today or tomorrow --OGN |
Abi Olanare.. safarigirl: |
make I go use US Open cool the tension.. Frances Tiafoe, Naomi Osaka.. Watch out for those names in future.. |
draws, home and away.. not bad.. especially if Zambia and Algeria draw their own too. RoyalBlak007: |
lol.. do4luv14: |
injury record? ![]() oga i dey read your posts oh.. i still dey wait who u go suggest for Russia IF we qualify, especially as Alampasu, Uzoho and... goldfish80: |
lol.. we just dey talk like say we get plenty plenty keepers.. We have to choose the better evil oh. Enyeama is injured, he is not even available..Can we let his matter rest? AIG07: |
my point is we shouldn't make it seem like Alampasu is such a rookie. There are keepers his age keeping for their national teams or clubs in Europe. His experience in Europe is an advantage.. if he is the best in camp, he should be used.. that talk of he can't stand the pressure, I wonder if Ezenwa will. Akpeyi sef too no dey shake? Icon79: |
Singing in R. Kelly voice. I don't see nothing wrong with fielding a Feirense 2nd choice keeper.. I don't see nothing wrong... No guarantee Ezenwa won't keep like a rookie.. can he withstand the pressure? I don't see nothing wrong.. Cameroon no be NPFL. la la la |
hahaha.. I never said they did not perform eventually. you are missing the point. Follow humility017 reply mumemma: |
How about Babatunde making that list? Wasn't that a mystery? Let's not forget Bright Dike and a few others never deserved an invitation. No disrespect to our late coach, that was the era I felt agents where doing big business with Super Eagles handlers. Modified Keshi invited players who were trying to boost their careers. His philosophy was giving them a chance in SE colors, they would do everything to up their value. Which is why the likes of Aaron Samuel got invited in the first place. These players were motivated to perform because they were relatively unknown. Humility017: |
Daniel Amokachi could have been quoted out of context. Let's not forget he was an assistant to the late Stephen Keshi, who I personally suspected of underhand deals. Did Aluko pay to get his first call up? Has Aluko remained in the limelight all this while? we can only have 23 men or so in SE at every point in time. It's hard to set ONE standard as regards who should be in the team. Coaches have different standards. I remember Oliseh's policy of no out field players who do not play in the first tier. Let's not try to make it seem like it's solely an NFF issue. The coaches we've had over the years have fought to act without interferences from the NFF. Corruption is part of our system. But the problem we have here is that we do not have many players playing in big clubs in Europe -- indisputable stars -- so there are many grey areas when our coaches make decisions. Anyone can in fact feel hard done by.. need I mention free agent Nosa Igiebor? What we have here is a country where everyone feels marginalized and can give you examples to buttress their claim. komekn: |
Hopefully a blessing in disguise. Looks physically more imposing and confident than Akpeyi. In terms of abilities, they are both average mumemma: |
"Hapoel Beer Sheva striker Anthony Nwakaeme and Akwa United's Ifeanyi Ifeanyi were the other players initiated into the Super Eagles yesterday after their first training session." --AllNigeriaSoccer |
Even the media have been making that mistake. Ifeanyi Matthew and Ifeanyi Ifeanyi are two different players. Both former U20 (Manu Garba's boys) Humility017: |
forgiveness: |
hahahahahaha.. oga u don start oh.. In the first place there is no player from that section in standby. Hence, you have not said anything new. I'm still waiting for your preferred choice of coach for our national teams, and his track record/achievement/credentials to back it up.. And the coach has to have applied. STANDBY: Uche Agbo (Standard Liege, Belgium); Henry Onyekuru (Anderlecht FC, Belgium); Kenneth Omeruo (Chelsea FC, England); Aaron Samuel (CSKA Moscow, Russia); Alhassan Ibrahim (Akwa United); Stephen Eze (FC IfeanyiUbah); Ifeanyi Ifeanyi (Akwa United) forgiveness: |
#SuperEagles Radar: Joel Obi is Back! Tammy Scores First. Olayinka, Awoniyi Still on Fire. Iwobi Injured. Add Comment 15 mins ago by Bryan Efe 3 Views Share: FacebookTwitterGoogle BELGIUM (ROUND 5) Club Brugge 4-0 St. Liege Standard Liege suffered another heavy defeat with an identical scoreline with the previous round, this time in the hands of current table toppers, Club Brugge. It was not a good look for Super Eagles midfielder Uche Agbo, who lasted the entire encounter again for Standard Liege, but could not help the Belgian modest side earn a respectable scoreline. Another Nigerian, 19 year old forward Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure has been out of Brugge’s squad for over two weeks now due to a ligament injury. Bonaventure’s date of return is still unknown. Charleroi 3-2 Waregem Peter Olayinka continued from where he stopped in the previous week, scoring again, away to Charleroi, to put Waregem ahead before the break. His nod came on the 44th minute after racing to arrive right in time to connect De Pauw’s cross past onrushing Charleroi goalie, Nicolas Penneteau. However, despite a Charleroi own-goal that put them back ahead, Waregem could not sustain the lead as they eventually lost after their opponents scored twice in the last 5 minutes of the match. The visitors did not have Kingsley Madu in their line-up as he is still out due to an ankle injury. Aliko Bala was not listed as well by Waregem. Olayinka now has two goals and six assists so far this season. Lokeren 3-0 Eupen Relatively unknown Nigerian midfielder, Jamabo George continued his season with another dugout appearance for Eupen, as they fumbled away to Lokeren. The 22 year old Rivers State born player is a product of ASPIRE Academy, Senegal. YOU MAY HAVE MISSED: #Eagles Radar: Omeruo scores own goal. Emenike assists. Onyekuru, Solomon, Anichebe score. Ejaria shines on debut (Weekly Review Nov. '16 Week 1) Oostende 3-4 Royal Antwerp It was a 7 goal thriller at Versluys Arena (Oostende), with Joseph Akpala making an 83rd minute entry for the visitors while they were down 1-3. Two late goals for Oostende did not prevent them from losing as the visitors ensured to add one more in the 88th. Akpala has only managed a start so far this season. He has been used as a substitute since their season opener against Mouscron. Gent 0-0 Anderlecht It ended stalemate when Super Eagles’s Moses Simon and Anderson Esiti entertained Henry Onyekuru‘s Anderlecht. All the Nigerians on parade gave a good account of themselves staying out of the referee’s books and posting a full shift. Anderlecht manager, Rene Weiler deployed Onyekuru alongside Polish forward, Lukasz Teodorczyk in a two prong attack of a 4-4-2 formation, but their most important forward from last season was pulled off in the dot of the 90th minute, whereas, Onyekuru was left on the pitch. KAA Gent did not list their third Nigerian player, Samuel Kalu for undisclosed reasons. Kalu, who has scored one goal this season, had featured throughout in every of Gent’s last 4 rounds of Jupiler league matches. Kortrijk 1-1 Mouscron Abduljaleel Ajagun made his fifth consecutive full shift appearance for Kortrijk, highlighting his importance in the team since his move from Roda JC. Ajagun locked horns with compatriot, Taiwo Awoniyi (Mouscron), who pulled off another brilliant performance by helping Mouscron draw level with an assist. Awoniyi bundled his way, forcing the ball across to teammate, Selim Amallah, despite strong resistance from Kortrijk’s back-line. Awoniyi charged forward in expectation of a goal mouth-scramble, but Selim’s following attempt was good enough to earn the visitors a draw — thanks to a 74th minute penalty miss by Kortrijk.
