That's what we were doing with Osimgen. What if he scored?

I hope we adopt such confidence in our young players, especially when they are really good. No need to wait too long to get them in camp or playing. Nice post.

We will maintain our 100% record

All I know is this... Cameroun escaped a red in the first leg... they may not be so lucky in the second leg. Gassama does not take nonsense... and I hope he comes to the party.

Nigeria will win at least two penalty kicks and Cameroon will be red carded. Onazi has to be very careful or he will be our only casualty.. That's what I've foreseen

Me I said it before. It's not necessarily a patriotism matter. Isn't Germany really tempting after all
TheGoodJoe:
Fine article by Osas.

Liked Balogun's answer. Loves both sides of his roots. Attached to wanting Nigeria to win by highlighting preferring to play with Nigeria in his video games. (That shows where his heart truly lies) But, does not deny the opportunity of achieving great international Heights playing for Germany which makes it a tempting offer. Perfect answer.

One thing I know for sure. We don't need to change anything, and they will be down to 9 men before 90 mins.. I like their boast. My prediction, 4-0 again for us

Broos: Super Eagles Will See Real Indomitable Lions On Monday
By Nurudeen Obalola in Yaounde

https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Hugo-Broos.jpg

Cameroon coach Hugo Broos has vowed that his team will be radically improved from their toothless performance against Nigeria on Friday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The Indomitable Lions lost 4-0 to the Super Eagles in Uyo on Friday night in the first of their double-header in the qualifying series for the Russia 2018 World Cup.

The two teams meet again on Monday night here in Yaounde, kick-off at 6pm at the Stade Omnisport Ahmadou Ahidjo.

“We were really bad on Friday,” Broos admitted during his pre-match press conference at the Stade Omnisport, which Completesportsnigeria.com was the only Nigerian outlet to attend.

“It was very difficult for us, but we saw no sign it would turn out like that. We were very good in the first 20, 25 minutes and the Nigerians were afraid even if we didn’t create many chances, then the game suddenly changed.

“The match was disastrous for us. It was a great disappointment for us and our fans. In the dressing room after the game, we all accepted that it was catastrophic.

“But tomorrow will be a different game. We know we can’t afford to play like we did on Friday. We will show the real Cameroon tomorrow and make our fans proud.”

Broos said his players have promised him not to disappoint.

“The players will be playing for national pride and honour tomorrow,” Broos, who led Cameroon to the Africa Cup of Nations title in February, added.

“It’s entirely a different game and the players are up for it. They will be ready for Nigeria tomorrow. What you saw on Friday was not the real Cameroon. We have to do something good tomorrow, give it everything we have.”

Nigeria lead African qualifying Group B of the Russia 2018 World Cup with nine points from three matches, while Cameroon have only two points.

Those ones u don't know what's on their mind, thy can be dangerous. At least safarigirl you can fight and make up with her in so many ways hahaha

TheSuperNerd:
Lol.... Oya make them talk naa... Only Safarigirl can. She was here when Eseose9 dropped her first comments on the thread....

And there are others who view and stay mute... I saw a lot today...

Shade86... Lovelygurl (seems she came visiting.. hardly see her here viewing before and after my comeback).... Trudy12.... Madam Confun hardly shows up (but hey.. she is no go area... she is my senior colleague in the field and is taken too).... Engirl or something *scratches head*... well the list goes on...

Anyway... here... have your pick.... most of them prefer to just observe and read through... sometimes I feel for Safarigirl here... about time she got a sister or two here you know... we guys can be kinda boring.... grin

Well... goodluck... lemme go engage Sir Omanbala1 on more analytical discussions... ciao Loverboy... cheesy

The first two are the main Contenders... a certain SirManjar showed interest too... but... I think he has given up.... lolll

I am telling you man... The media spoke of Iheanacho being chased by a couple of clubs before Leicester won his signature and even Mbappe and Dembele getting deals after much speculation.... but they miss the fact that Safarigirl is the hottest cake being chased this window.... and now They have to wait till January... how sad. sad

So Oga Joebie... you want a chance to sit next to her in a flight to comfort her.... then behold your contenders above. grin

Yaounde Fans Vow To Boycott Lions Vs Super Eagles Clash
By Nurudeen Obalola in Yaounde

https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/IGHALO.jpg

At least 20 people Completesportsnigeria.com has spoken with here in Yaounde have said they will not bother turning up for Monday’s World Cup qualifier between the Indomitable Lions and the Super Eagles.

Enthusiasm for the match was quite high from Tuesday night when Completesportsnigeria.com arrived, most of the fans predicting home and away wins for their darling Lions.

But since Friday when the Super Eagles made mince meat of the Lions with a 4-0 win in Uyo, the boastful fans have been stunned into silence.

Now they are saying they will not come to the Stade Omnisport Ahmadou Ahidjo to cheer their team.

“I love my country very much but no, I’m not going to the stadium,” Arlette, a young lady who works at a supermarket in the Tsinga Quarters, said.

“I’m not interested anymore. Somebody wanted to buy me a ticket, but I said I’m not going anymore. He has also changed his mind.”

Another Yaounde resident, Ameer, one of the receptionists at the Phenix Hotel in Titi Garage, close to the stadium, will not be interested in what is going on about 500 metres away from his work place.

“What’s the point of watching?” asks the bi-lingual Ameer in decent English. “Even if the Lions beat your team on Monday, it makes no difference.

“I couldn’t believe my eyes on Friday, what was wrong with our team? It’s a good thing many people have not bought tickets.”
Emmanuel, the owner of the small bar around Mobil Essos, where Completesportsnigeria.com watched Friday night’s match, still found it hard to stomach the defeat a full 24 hours after.

“How can African champions play like that? So, we won’t be going to Mundial,” the emotional Emmanuel said, his eyes welling up.

“I had so much belief in this team. Remember I told you we’d beat the Super Eagles in Uyo. Now, I don’t care about the result here. I’m not watching. I’ll be supporting Nigeria in the World Cup, your team has already qualified.”

Fanny, a shop attendant at a mobile phone shop at the Casino area of the city centre, simply said she had better things to do than waste time watching the Lions lose again.

“If they lost 4-0 in Nigeria, what makes you think they won’t lose here?” she asked, not expecting an answer.

Almost all the Cameroonians Completesportsnigeria.com spoke with on Saturday said they would not be watching, most of them saying they changed their plans after the first leg.

But two young men said they must watch the Lions anytime they play and want some sort of revenge for the humiliation in Uyo.

“The Lions should at least win here to stop Nigeria from further boasting. Give us some revenge by winning here. I must go to the stadium on Monday,” Bonaventure, who sells socks in the Central Market, said.

Figures for ticket sales have not been released but signs are that the stadium might not be full to its 45,000 capacity on Monday.
Tickets go for from 1,000 FCFA (about N650) to 30,000 FCFA (about N19,500).
