Moving to a better club instead of leaping to a BIG club when he hasn't proving much.

Exclusive – CSKA Moscow Targets Super Eagles Latest Sensation Olarenwaju Kayode

https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/image-52.jpg

Freshly capped Super Eagles Forward Olarenwaju Kayode is a primary target for Russian giants CSKA Moscow in the summer, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

The Austria Vienna forward was watched by scouts of the Russian side during the Super Eagles friendly game against Senegal in London last month, where Kayode had a debut to remember as his introduction alongside Isaac Success helped Nigeria find a way into the game which ended 1-1.

” He is among the players CSKA Moscow are targeting in the summer, for now the interest is still at infancy stage but it could happen in the summer when the transfer window opens. He was watched by scouts of the team during the Super Eagles friendly, and I think their recommendations will play a part in the summer”, a close associate of the former Nigeria junior international informed Owngoalnigeria.com.

Kayode has also been in fine form for Austria Vienna with 10 league goals to his name, he also scored five goals during their campaign in the Europa League, with his other goals coming in the Austrian Cup.

Sir habayommy

I think first you need to research the best football academies in Nigeria. Because I believe you want the best for your younger brother.
Next try to find their contact and make inquiries. I think that's the professional way to do it.

e.g: http://www.pepsifootballacademy.com/contacts

I don't know of any backyard way. But Nigeria na Nigeria lol
NPFL clubs are being encouraged to have feeder teams now. Keep your ears open for trials.

That's my little take on the issue. I wish you and your brother the best! And I hope you give him the best advice when clubs in Europe start coming for him.

Modified:
Post videos of him in action. I'm sure we would all like to see.

Good evening everyone‎

My younger brother has a passion for football . He's very talented and just 14 years old.
Please how can I get him into any these genuine football academies.

Those are exceptions. I was generalizing. Some of The clubs you mentioned are the few with a good youth program I think.
BascoVanVeli:
If a player is good enough in the NPFL no matter their age they will play. Remo stars, Akwa united and MFM all have young squads. Even Nazifi Yahaya started for Kano in their last match.

NPLF clubs are not in the business of falsifying players' age anyway IMO. I think players themselves do that, because they believe that will give them an advantage in the long run. As regards the academies they have no option but to present youthful players anyway even if it means the fake age is pretty close to the real ages of the players. Hence the case of age cheating in NPFL players is worse.

I think @tbaba1234 and I are saying the same thing.

komekn:
That still doesn't make sense to me. The structures in the NPFL are considerably more grounded than a lot of these set up to make as much profit as possible individual academies.

I believe age cheating is not unique to any sector.

I actually think the individual academies built on individual funds are more likely to carry out age cheating. The only difference is that will by nature have younger players comparative to NPFL clubs.

These are desperate to make money by hook or crook local academies, unlike the majority of NPFL clubs. Who want money yes but not as desperate.

Then we should flood SE with home based players because we stand more to gain. The point has been on repeat but many of u can't swallow it. Odey will even be more valuable after proving himself in CHAN and maybe later in SE. There is no point for the noise when nobody has ruled him out. Rohr is watching these local games. If he didn't have these boys on his plans he won't bother watching. His time mustn't be now. We need to chill.

goldfish80:
Do you know what Nigeria stands to gain if a guy like Odeh is sold from Mfm to Monaco for €5M? Hypothetically speaking

You may not realise this but I will break it down for you.

Do you know that the Nff will get a percentage from that deal?
Do you know Lagos state FA will equally get a cut from the deal because Mfm is domiciled in Lagos?
Do you know the local club where Mfm got Odey from will equally get a cut from this deal?

The ripple effect this revenue generated will go a long way in exciting the system and producing many more exciting prospects from the grassroots.

Having established some of these facts, I would like to ask, do you think a European team will pay €5M for a player playing in Nigeria, who has no first team national team experience?
When I talked about promoting local content, this is exactly what I mean.

Maybe if you're watching football as a spectator what I said wouldn't mean much to you but if you're at the administrative level, you will understand very well what message am passing across.

That's Keshi. This is Rohr and what we have is a team that is winning. I'm confident Odey is so good that he will grab his chance with both hands when he gets it. But hey, we are making a case for the likes of Onyekuru, Kalu etc. They are players abroad who have not got their chance as well.

komekn:
There are a number of players who are not proven who have been invited to the SE. So why not Odey or are we having a European bias against Nigerian home based players.

If Keshi could invite Obaobona and Mba who were a credit to the team why not Odey.

No it's not an excuse. But why are you crying for his inclusion? is there really a cause for alarm? The SE is not in danger. And CHAN is not far away. The boy will get his chance anyway, so what really is the point?

goldfish80:
Is this one an excuse? Has the Epl ended? But we are talking about Kelechi.

Hot In Demand Celtic Target Onyekuru Coy On Borussia Monchengladbach Links As Liverpool Withdraws Interest

https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/image-2.jpg

The future of Eupen Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru will be decided by his club and advisers according to the player in an exclusive interview with Owngoalnigeria.com.

A failed target for Scottish side Celtic during the January transfer window, he is also high on the priority list of Russian side CSKA Moscow as exclusively reported by this portal last year.

However, we gathered English Premier League giants Liverpool have pulled out from the race to sign the forward cum winger as manager Jurgen Klopp wants to strengthen other areas of his team.

Onyekuru was asked by our correspondent if there’s substance to talks about a move to Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach, and the 19 year old who has 14 goals in the league this summer failed to deny or confirm the rumours.

”Summer is around the corner, so no need to confirm or deny any story. For now my goal is to help Eupen achieve their goals this season via the play-offs. I’ve heard about interest from Germany but it’s not for me to speak or decide”, Onyekuru said.

”My club and my advisers will decide on the best offer for me, if am to leave Eupen in the summer. For now I am fully settled here but you never know. Things can change quickly especially in football”.

tbaba1234:
The door is always open for the best players. #NPFL players must prove themselves with the CHAN team first. I hope that Stephen Odey can get better because I have a @ManCity striker in my team. At the moment we're a winning team, so the #NPFL players must prove they deserve a place in the team. The problem before the Algerian game was becasue the #NPFL players were on break, so we couldn't tell about their form. There is an existing problem with Nigerian based players. We cannot tell their real age. We've not been lucky enough to play many games, so we have to talk with the players and keep in touch. We've committed time in finding full backs. We have an option in Ola Aina of @ChelseaFC , who has committed to Nigeria. We have Tyrone, Madu who may have game time issues, but we're working to get more options. I am confident we can get players. We've made contact with Top executives in the German FA about a friendly, so we could play them. Not everything is about money. I have a good working relationship with @thenff , I have good players too. My assistants are scouting the #NPFL, Imama may have enough time now, we are following the league. I work more for my assistants than I do for myself. They have families and of course they'll be worried if they don't get paid. We have a technical committee that is doing everything to make sure we do well. Nigeria needs more academies, less synthetic pitches. Nigeria is the biggest football nation in Africa, given the passion.

It's Rohr's call as regards who trains with the team. He is the coach, dont forget that.. Why the criticisms? We have a winning team. The SE is not a platform to launch players, but that for proven players. For now Odey has to prove himself at CHAN. That's what the coach has said. Shikina.

We are not saying he must feature him during the games.
Let him train with the senior members of the squad and the experience/lessons learnt with always come to bear on his career.

Ike Opara has been recognized for his outstanding performance in the latest round of games played in the American top-flight, with Major League Soccer naming him in their Team of the Week.

Sporting Kansas City extended their unbeaten run with a 3-1 victory over Colorado Rapids at Children’s Mercy Park, and Opara was one of four Sporting KC players that featured in the Team of the Week.

The central defender made a team-high five tackles, two clearances and an interception.

In a 3-5-2 formation, Opara was picked in defense along with Mlinar Delamea (New England Revolution) and Bobby Boswell (DC United).

Born in North Carolina, United States, Opara has started every single game played by Sporting Kansas in the league in 2017.

We cannot predict what will happen if Odey joins the national set up. But why the argument? CHAN is not far away. Rohr has noticed him. And that's a good thing.

tbaba1234:
That are several Nigerians who are doing well in their clubs that have not been given a shot. For instance, Adi has been doing it for longer in a better league and has not gotten the opportunities. Then we have Onyekuru and Onuachu, who are also scoring goals with better competition.

It is excellent that he is playing really well in the Nigerian league but playing at national team level with the best African and European teams is a different cup of tea. Even players like Ighalo and Ideye have struggled.

What will Odey be adding to the national team if he joins today.

Rohr Blast – We Cannot Tell The Real Age Of Nigeria League Players

https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/image-68.jpg

As debate continues to rage on over the none inclusion of home based players in the Super Eagles, coach Gernot Rohr has hinted that age might be a factor why they are not getting a look in.

Rohr who started by including at least one home based player in his squad has failed to name any of in consecutive games in the 3-1 win over Algeria and the recent friendly against Senegal.

Goalkepper Ikechukwu Ezenwa is the only home based player to have find favour in the Franco-German coach, but even at that he has found games hard to come by as third choice shot stopper.

” The door is always open for the best players. The Nigeria League players must prove themselves with the CHAN team first, because at the moment we have a winning team, so the home based players must prove they deserve a place in the team”, Rohr said in an interview on Brila Fm monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com.

” There is an existing problem with Nigeria based players. We cannot tell their real age”.

There is no crime in leaving him out either.
1. Nigeria is in the driving seat of the qualifiers.
2. The coach has seen him play first hand. And if he doesn't think he is good enough for the Super Eagles based on what he already has, so be it.

Iheanacho’s Goal Against Southampton Selected As Goal Of The Day By Man City

https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/image-40.jpg

Manchester City have reminded followers of the club about the goal scoring abilities of out of favour striker Kelechi Iheanacho following the selection of his goal as goal of the day.

Iheanacho’s goal against Southampton in 2016 when he broke into the first team of the Etihad outfit was picked as goal of the day in the game which Man City lost 2-4.

The goal was a magnificent curler into the top corner of Fraser Forster goal, leaving the shot stopper with no chance 12 minutes to the end of the game.

City posted the video of the goal on their official website after a comment which reads ” It was a wonderful goal that offered further evidence of Iheanacho’s goalscoring ability”.

Sir DanyCusoe. I salute you!]
We have been looking for Chidozie Obasi.
As a matter of fact you are on point. Like I said in one of my posts, the NPFL is full of redundant players, besides the clubs that are tapping into youth and the NNL. I believe the NNL is where the magic really is.

Danycrusoe:
please explain ur comment to me cuz I don't understand, bigger gap in talents ke, distance ad how and how does NNL.games mean less. ko ye mi.

let me try and dissect ur comment based on how I see it.

Distance: only u can explain this

Bigger gap in talents: there is nothing like that to me because many talented players come from the NNL straight to the NPFL and do well, even those who don't are making good names for themselves for example, Stephen Odey played in the NNL for mfm as well as Olatunbosun, many former Ikorodu united players are scattered in teams in the NPFL I know one is in mfm and another in kano pillars etc, Ernest Governor of Abs who is also the captain of the team was formerly of kogi united, Victor Mbaoma of Remo stars was their highest scorer in the NNL last season in fact gan Wilfred Ndidi moved from Bath boys straight to Europe, nath are not even in the Nationwide league one so where is the gap, apart from all those players, do u know that former NPFL highest goalscorer Jude Aneke is with ikorodu united in the NNL currently, he has 2 goals and also scored their equaliser yesterday after scoring in their 2-1 loss to gateway united last Wednesday, Chigozie Obasi of the 2013 u17 team is with Osun united, Kogi united has got this their midfielder who is stunning with free kicks he score one in their last game, players like that are plenty and abound in the NNL but lack of insightful info from this teams and the NNL board hides them.

NNL games mean less: let me assume u mean that the stake in each NNL game isn't that much or its not important. if that's what u mean my beloved brother u are wrong, you know y u avnt met any of the team owners u would know how high the stakes are even when u meet the players themselves. The competition is higher this season that's y u are seeing many away wins, u should av seen the chairman of the Go round team, how he was shifting and moving with every move of the balls by his players.

so if I v misinterpreted ur comment or I am wrong please explan and expatiate

This is one reason why we are not represented by our best clubs in Africa. Some teams can make up for their earlier bad performances in away games. Maybe we need a mini league for the top half placed teams played in a neutral venue.

I think I heard another name in the past (as regards Moses), let me do my research.
