Thank you. The thing I like best about this article is that you didn't mention AdSense. I think Nigerian bloggers overestimate AdSense instead of looking for real ways to make money through blogging as you've suggested here. |
Thanks Jefy and Honeychild. Even though I never come back yet sha. Lol. I've been attending the University of Finance and investing in my financial education. I now have a financial mentor here in Agbani who has been supplying me personal-finance and business books. He's a landlord and a millionaire himself though you'd never know by merely looking at his appearance. He has opened my eyes to the palm oil middleman business and I've started saving up money to take part in it next year. I've also paid my friend N110,000 (one hundred and ten thousand naira) so far. That means I still owe him N190,000 (one hundred and ninety thousand naira) which I plan to pay off month by month before the end of 2018. I no go run away from my debt like Etisalat jor. Lol. Ehen! That reminds me of the Arab world. My father recently suggested that I relocate there and work in Dubai. I refused. Why I go go there go sign slave-contract? A contract in which my international passport will be seized while I work under God-knows-what conditions for three to four years? No! I'm not done with Igboland yet. I'm determined to make my millions here in this promised land. I thank God for His blessings. I thank my uncle in America for his support. And I thank you (yes YOU) too for following my story up to this point. This is probably my second-to-the-last post here. The last will be when I'm finally debt-free. Lol. So I'm also using this opportunity to invite you all to join me on my journey to be a billionaire at 40 here: https://www.nairaland.com/4006110/billionaire-40#59735469

Faruki:Check your inbox and spam folder. Mekwa ka isi kwuo o! Lol. |
Lol. I laugh because of the few comments on this front page post. I guess that "Book Summary" part included in the title is what is scaring off Nigerians/Nairalanders. Nawa o! I'll also recommend other financial books like Billionaire in Training by Bradley Sugars, Rich Dad's Who Took My Money by Robert Kiyosaki, etc. If you've not read the elementary ones likes Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and The Richest Man in Babylon, then you're not serious about your financial education yet. You're all welcome to read my own post here https://www.nairaland.com/4006110/billionaire-40#59735469 where I'll be sharing summaries of these and other financial books I've read. |
Amarisa:Congratulations, you're the first to comment. Lol. What a wonderful first comment filled with blessings. Thank you madam. I went through your diary before I updated my own today. I actually read that part where you wrote about missing your cousin's wedding due to certain reasons, probably financial constraints. Yes, I agree that you shouldn't get into debt just to attend a wedding. But I also think it's only fair to reciprocate your cousin's good gesture of attending your own wedding. Next time, please try to send in a little gift with a sincere apology for your intended absence. I'm sure your cousin would've understood. No matter wetin we do, we no fit make everybody happy sha. Lol. |
Ozouno1:You seem to be missing the point. I only used Israel as an example of a people who share one ancestry but have 12 tribes. You also seem to be too focused on Nnamdi Kanu (IPOB leader). He's only playing his own limited part in the move for Igbo self-determination. Same goes for Uwazurike (former leader of MASSOB) and Benjamin Onwuka (of the former BZM, now BZF). Have you heard of Biafrans Living in Exile (BILIE) and Bilie Human Rights Initiative (BHRI) movements? These groups are playing their parts as well. Yet I find this your approach flawed because you over-emphasize the autonomous status of our Igbo communities without looking at the obvious disadvantage of such an approach. Just as I find Kanu's approach of including Benue and Niger-Delta in Biafra flawed. And yes, the Niger-Delta have the right to seek their own self-determination separate from that of the Igbo. I welcome that possibility whole-heartedly. After all, didn't their Adaka Boro fight for a Niger-Delta republic even before our Ojukwu fought for Biafra? I would prefer an approach that aims at an exclusive Igbo nation-state comprising of our various Igbo tribes who have different dialects of the same Igbo language. If the Ikwerre choose to go with the Niger-Delta, so be it. |
akulaxx:Wow! Interesting information here. Please what exactly does "Biafurue" mean? Could you translate it to English for us? And does the river still bear this name till today or was it changed after the Biafra war? Where exactly is it located in Izonland? |
akulaxx:Izon? As in, Ijaw? Please elaborate sir. |
Ozouno1:You have touched the lion's tail. So now I'm forced to roar. Lol. When I was still an undergraduate of political science, we once asked our lecturer what he thinks about the Igbo being Jews. Do you know what he said? He told us to stop being Eurocentric. He said that in his own opinion, since Africa is arguably the cradle of humanity, we should be talking about the Igbo being the ancestors of the Jews and not the other way round. He also went further to theorize that the so-called Igbo-enwe-eze or egalitarian pre-colonial Igbo society must have evolved from an earlier period of time when the Igbo were united under a monarchy and were later fed up with it, birthing the name "Ezebuilo" meaning "the king is an enemy". That said, in my own observation, its clear to me that the many tribes of the Igbo nation all agree that we are one. That is why there's this popular saying that Igbo na-asu n'onu n'onu. The only Igbo people who seem to reject their Igboness are the Onitsha people who openly claimed a Bini ancestry even before the Biafra war. As for the Ikwerre (where Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi hails from) and other riverine Igbo communities, their denial of Igboness stems more from the trauma of or reaction to the Biafra war. My main point is that there's no need to upgrade the status of Igbo tribes (Nkanu, Nsukka, Ngwa, Owerri, Obosi etc) to that of separate nations yet. We're like the 12tribes of Israel now before their division into two kingdoms. At the end, aren't those two kingdoms now united under the modern state of Israel? |
Retitle this to "Ladies, don't marry a BOY" because a man even if he's 70years starts by being a woman's boyfriend before progressing to be her fiance and then husband. Manfriend is just a recently coined word to massage some men's ego. Lol. |
I asked for a debate and I'm currently loving the mature argument going on now. Please let's continue before this topic gets to the front page and becomes crowded by children. Lol. Yes, I agree that a more Igbo name should be chosen to represent our Igbo nation. I've always thought that that name Biafra doesn't exactly suit us. I suspect that Ojukwu and others chose that name to lay claim to an already existing international name and thus make it easier to be recognised. Furthermore, it might have been chosen to appeal to the non-Igbo constituent-nations of Biafra at the time because an Igbo name would most likely have made them afraid of Igbo domination in the new nation. Why don't we take this topic further by suggesting a better Igbo name for our dear Igbo nation? What about a name like "Igboland" in the fashion of nations like Swaziland, Switzerland, Scotland, Poland etc? |
Ugwuoke347:Hmmm... This makes sense. If many Igbo people repeatedly and excitedly shout "Bia fu ha! Bia fu ha! Bia fu ha! Bia fu ha!" ("Come and see them! Come and see them! Come and see them! Come and see them!" , it would sound like "Biafra! Biafra! Biafra! Biafra!" to a foreigner who has never heard Igbo before. I'd love more debate on this though. |
DonFresco:Yes! You're right. Thanks for the suggestion. |
Are you interested in palm oil (20litres gallons)? Palm oil has a shelf life of at least two years. I'm in Enugu. |
The truth is that sex is a physical, emotional and spiritual bond between the individuals involved in it. So therefore, sex can be considered a private/secret marriage. We may try to under-rate, casualize or liberalize sex but the fact remains that deep in our hearts we know that sex comes with some strings attached. We know that each time we have sex at the expense of the other person's feelings, we are doing something wrong. Unfortunately, we ultimately kill our conscience to make ourselves feel better about it. Then we call it a game and sweet talk (lie), taste another soup (cheat) and claim that body no be firewood (refuse to abstain). Lol. May God help us. |
I think the Afonja vs Igbo war on Nairaland is just too funny. The irony is that in real life, Igbo and Yoruba coexist better than Igbo and Hausa. Yet a foreign visitor to this forum will think otherwise. Could it be because few Hausa have access to or interest in the internet and therefore can't start a Y*amiri vs A*boki war? Lol. I also think that in fairness to Seun, Biafra news still make front-page here. Wasn't it recently I saw "Defeat me with superior argument not AK47 -Nnamdi Kanu" headline here on Nairaland. That post alone portrayed Nnamdi Kanu as a sensible activist in the ranks of Mahatma Ghandi and Nelson Mandela. Lol. Though I understand why Seun would decide to be anti-Biafra and pro-Nigeria. Such stance is only in the overall business-interest of Nairaland. |
Your 10th characteristic is too funny. Lol. But that is actually "disrespect for the currency". Respect for money shows in how you invest and multiply it. I guess we're still making the same point. Lol. I must add another characteristic here: 11. FINANCIAL EDUCATION: Poor people do not take their financial education seriously. They ignore books like Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, Billionaire in Training by Bradley Sugars and other such books which would prepare/equip/guide them to riches. |
Lol. Let me manufacture mine. FOOTBALL: A sport where twenty-two men with two balls each chase after one ball. |
Well, the embassies are all located in Lagos or Abuja, aren't they? The major ports are in Lagos too. Taking that into account, if an Igbo businessman (most likely an importer) wants to travel or clear his goods, does it make business-sense for him to go to Lagos/Abuja to get a visa, fly in/out from Enugu International Airport, then head back to Lagos for his goods? The simple truth is that Nigeria as its presently structured does not favour the Igbo. Nevertheless, we'll keep flourishing because of our enterprising spirit. |
Wow! What a well-researched and eye-opening editorial. Is the president listening? Is the senate and house of reps taking note of this? Funny enough, I see Ojukwu and Nnamdi Kanu telling whoever is just realising this "Good morning!". Lol. |
In my experience with my ipad, it's easier to xender things from my android phone to my ipad. But it's very hard to xender things from my ipad to my android phone. Which is actually why I came to this post in the first place thinking you'll teach exactly how to do that as the title suggests. You don do me 419 o! Lol. An iphone and an ipad follow the same procedure right? By the way, my ipad is up for sale. N75,000 (price is negotiable). I'm based in Enugu. Interested buyers can call/whatsapp me on 09095000603. Thanks. |
If you're as young (13-20years old) as I suspect you are, please don't be scared. It's only a passing phase of your life. You'll find your love, fears and laughter again. But if you're older, 20years and above, you need to sit down and jot down things you think are causing this numbness. Have you been through emotional trauma? Have you killed your conscience? Are you forcing yourself to keep doing something that no longer gives you joy? After identifying the cause, take a decision to make some necessary changes. Then draw close to God. Don't pray. Talk to Him as if He's there with you. Tell Him you need His help. Ask for forgiveness where you think you need forgiveness. Ask for strength where you think you're weak. God will surely use the opportunity to prove His love for you. Remember to be patient with yourself. Things will improve one day at a time and step by step. |
This Ketogenic diet is becoming more and more popular in Nigeria. I found out about it from one of my customers this month. By the way, I sell waist-trainers, girdles, butt-lifters, bumbum, ladies' undies, s*e*x toys etc. So, I meet a lot of women who want to lose weight. I don't need it myself because I'm slim and fit enough. If I add any type of dieting eh, I go resemble H.I.V. Lol. I'm thinking of starting fitness-training for some of my customers. That's why I'm interested in introducing them to this fascinating KETO or KETOGENIC DIET. |
Let's not forget that newspapers now have a presence online via their own websites. Isn't Sahara Reporters an exclusively ONLINE NEWSPAPER? Even Linda Ikeji's blog could easily be classified as an online magazine or ENTERTAINMENT NEWSPAPER. Lol. The point here is that Nigerian newspapers need to move with the times or end up being only useful for selling akara. Lol. |
Daily4mative:This your attitude won't help the growth of your blog at all. Instead of you to thank me for taking the time to click on your link, reading your article and coming back here to comment on it, you're accusing me of wanting free things. SMH. I only bothered to comment because I love posts/articles about Ndi-Igbo and saw the potential of this your post making front page if presented properly. At least I'm happy I discovered a similar post here on Nairaland "5 Reasons Why the Igbo man Succeeds in Business" which is far better and has had over 30,000 views already. I urge you to take a look at it here: https://www.nairaland.com/3623112/5-reasons-why-igbo-man Thanks for replying anyway. Make me sef practice wetin I dey preach. Lol. You're also welcome to read my own post here on Nairaland that has over 20,000 views so that you'll learn how to engage our intelligent Nairaland community: https://www.nairaland.com/2947132/lagos-igbo-land-business-move God bless Nairaland and Nairalanders. |
, it would sound like "Biafra! Biafra! Biafra! Biafra!" to a foreigner who has never heard Igbo before.
