[quote author=Thomsyne post=118546170]Hi John,

When did you submit yours and which VFS office did you address it to?[/quote

Submitted on 16th via DHL, VFS Lagos sent me an acknowledgement mail on 17th.
One thing that's confusing me is that the email stated that they had dispatched my ppt to Abuja from Lagos for stamping. I don't understand cos my biometrics was done in Lagos.

Thank you. Is it better I do drop off?
Totally, I went to DHL and dropped it with them, VFS got it the next day.
Waiting on them now.

Please do you know if they still give the yellow slip for biometrics...
If you mean reprinting a lost slip, you might need to contact VFS cos I'm not aware.
If it's not a reprint, yes they still give out that long yellowish slip after biometrics.
My conversations with them are usually via their chat service, just chat them and get first hand info.

Please peeps, Biko what is required of kids @ passport request. Those who have submitted or have an idea, it's been 24hrs no response... Biko help a sister, thanks
This cropped part of my mail convo with VFS may help, plus I feel like it's same requirement.

DHL will give you a print out containing your tracking number, This will not reflect on their tracking portal till after 24hours of your drop off at their office. Afterward it wil reflect and you can see update till it is delivered to VFS.

Please anyone knows how many days to receive stamped passport back after submission?
I have seen different timelines on this thread overtime.
From 1 week to 2 weeks and some past 2 weeks.
I think drop off VFS location contributes to the timeline difference.
Sent mine to VFS Lagos and got a mail from them stating that it had been received and sent to VFS Abuja for processing.

Please if you send anything through webform, say new letter of admission or update financial documents, will it reflect on your portal for you to know they have seen it?
No na, the things that reflect on your portal for you to see are your medicals, biometrics, eligibility review etc you know that timeline of different stages.
Letter of admission and financial docs don't reflect on your portal. They might reply you to let you know that they have received them or they will not that's why you don't forward a document once.

I think you can also upload that one too when sent to your email.
Probably, The instruction after the test is usually to forward the e-medical sheet but there's no harm in sending the patients copy of the results sha.

Hi all, pls is there a place to confirm the authenticity of a school one is trying to apply to?

e.g. royalroads university.
All Canadian universities/colleges are on IRCC. There you can verify the school and confirm if it's a DLI before you apply to them.

Here's the link.

I just relaxed since, didn't know that's the one to upload. I think it's preferable to upload it within the week days, what do you think?
You can upload any time, but weekdays and targeting when it will be 8am in Nairobi will be best so your mail/webform will be seen timely.

Don't forget to send it at least 3 times and not once. Don't give room for *we did not see it*.

Please with regards to upfront medicals, I did mine few days ago and I'm a bit confused, the sheet to upload is it the one the medical personnels told me it would take two to five days to upload and they will also send a copy to my email or is it the sheet that was given to me after the medicals registration before I proceeded to carry out the medical assessment?
IOM will give you a print out titled e-medical sheet with your assessment details on it, that's the one to upload.

Your assessment result will be sent to IRCC directly within 5 working days and may not be sent to your email except you request for it. That's not the one to upload

Well, the house search and cost depend your province, and luck also play it own role. I live in BC where rental is brutal. So, before you travel, start communicating with someone you know who lives in your school's province. There are also some communities on Facebook/IG where you can meet your 9ja fellow. If you have family or friends in your province who are willing to help you narrow down your house search + cost, that's a plus.

If you can't get any of this, before or when you arrive, you can book an AirBNB for two weeks and begin your house search (Facebook market place, Craigslist, etc.). Don't book AirBNB for 2/3 days. ooo, because you rarely get an immediate move in rent in Canada, the most common move in dates are the first or fifteenth of the month.
Great tip, Thanks

I know right lol people wan move before resumption, but to be candid, you need to plan well, imagine arrived 3months before your resumption, you started balling, paying rent if at all you were lucky to get a room self, most stay at AirBNB which it’s lot of money, buying groceries, you will start eating foodstuffs you bring from 9ja ooo, foodstuffs that suppose to last you for atleast a semester or two EXCEPT you have a families/friends who is already here to settle you IN softly, even if at all they want to helped you, coz most friends and families will want you to pay your own bills, then go let you that no be den send you come Canada.

I came in a month before my resumption, when I calculated how much I already spent, just for a month ooo without working heeeeeheee.

In a nutshell, I'm not discouraging anyone who want to resume early, just make sure you have a legitimate reason, also put some other factors in place.
Lol Abeg throw small light into the house search of a thing, is it that difficult?
Any idea what the average cost is.

@Teeebabyyy, @Johnstan, @Thomysne

Could you please share the email format you forwarded to IRCC requesting your application status. This will be really helpful because my application has passed the processing time. I have tried sending emails but I keep getting generic response.

This was a response I got after sending webform.
Here is the content of my last mail sent. I never got any response for any of my webforms/emails btw.

I sent them @6am whenever I wanted to cos Nairobi is 2hrs ahead of us.

Good morning Sir/Ma

This is to bring to your attention that my application is in its 17th week (month/day applicant) and I'm yet to get a favourable decision.
I understand the COVID 19 pandemic, staff strength reduction and working from home effects on the processing time and I do not take these for granted, however, I am appealing that you prioritize my application in any way you can so I can meet up with my deadlines.

Thank you in anticipation of your feedback.

Good day guys!

I plan to enter Canada early February and school starts May. I hope there is nothing wrong with that?
Please share your thoughts.

Thanks
From a zoom meeting I had with my school in preparation for resumption, you can enter Canada anytime, however, you will need to explain to immigration the reason for your early entry.

If the reason is to stay with family members, relatives etc to get acquainted with the environment then you wouldn't have a prob with immigration.
You will also need to show your health insurance to immigration that will cover you till school resumes because the one that comes with your study permit will not be active till your school resumes.

So if this two is checked and any other that may arise then you're good. If they don't check it's advisable you chill till 2-3 weeks to your resumption.

Good morning fam, please what's the difference between Post-Baccalaureate Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma and Post Graduate Certificate.
Which is the best for a second class lower division graduate. Courses in view business management and marketing or business management and human resources

Post baccalaureate dip and post graduate diploma is same. They are different from post graduate certificate. The difference is in the number of courses you need to take to Graduate i.e. the course load.

The are good for 2'2 under grad degree holders.

Pls also note that advanced dip is different from ordinary dip and also different from post grad diploma.

The first two and undergrad programs while post grad dip is for people who already have a first degree.

Hi gurus in the house, thanks for saving lives with your advise and guidance. My wife is supposed to start her programme by Fall (Sept) 2023. We want to start our application by March 2023 (since our PoF should be ready then) . What time would you advise us to start the Biometric and Medical processing upfront. What is the relation with respect to time between Biometric and Medical Processing as Student Permit application we have seen can take btw 13wks to 17wks or more/less.
Medicals can be done before you apply - upfront medicals.
Biometrics is on instruction from IRCC after application.
These stages will be updated to passed on your application portal after they are received and processed by IRCC, They're some of the stages before the final eligibility review.

Good luck.

He doesn't need the email address used to apply for web form and mails.
As long as he has his UCI an application number, he can send mails and webforms with no issues.
You can't send mails to IRCC with just any random email, it has to be with your registered email on your application.
Webform will also ask you to input your registered email in one of the columns before you submit, you cannot just input any email.

Please which should I choose if I want to upload more documents? And please is this the right way to go about the webform?
The option to upload documents is usually the last option.

Choose the right enquiry, fill out your application info and your message write up, agree with the terms and condition then click next. The next page will ask you to either proceed or attach a document.

It cannot be more than 2mb or so.

Good evening everyone, I have been a silent reader for quite some time due to my schedule, firstly i want to appreciate everyone here for sharing timelines and offering helpful information from time to time. So i actually used an agent for both my admission and study permit application, my agent is based in canada and has helped a couple of my friends get to canada successfully but he can actually an asshole. So he doesn't communicate properly and can be slow with things due to his busy schedule i guess. Long story short, he applied for my study permit on
7th Aug 2022 and i did my biometric on 10th Aug 2022. I just did an upfront medical on 14th Nov 2022 and my agent requested for an e-medical doc i was given at iom for him to upload. So at this point i reached out to him asking him about what is going on with my process and he says there is no update on my portal and nothing can be done than just to wait until he gets an update from the IRCC. I got here and i see people putting some extra effort on their application process. Please i need some advice on what to do about this whole thing, I don't have access to my portal and i am to resume Fanshawe college 3rd Jan 2023. I will really appreciate every advice i can get.. Thanks
There is really nothing you can do than wait.
You will not be able to send webforms and emails on your behalf because you do not have access to your portal or application details like your application number, UCI number and the email address used to apply.

You can ask for these details and send webforms/email yourself or ask the agent to send on your behalf.

If you keep quiet IRCC will take their time with your application.

That's serious. send a webform and email to IRCC to review then.

Did your courier service provider notify you that your ppt was delivered to vfs successfully?
Did vfs acknowledge receipt and subsequent delivery to the embassy for stamping?

Ayam not understanding this situation at all.
