Sarah1032: Please gurus. I have a question.
I'll be schooling in centinneal college, but I wanted to know, do they offer hyflex or online classes?
If yes, if I stay in a different province and still school, does this affect pgwp?
Or insurance and Healthcare from the province of Ontario and the school insurance?
Thanks in advance You can either wait for someone already attending lectures to confirm the mode of lecture delivery or consult the school website or contact the school directly to confirm. Your pgwp is fine if you maintain your student status throughout without any complaints filed against you (not attending classes, not registering your courses, poor grades that can lead to admission withdrawal etc.) So check well before switching locations. Your health insurance is paid by you and service rendered in your school/province. You could pay for extra coverage if you want. If you're not comfortable at your current province, you can switch schools to another province with approval from your current school and IRCC I think, not completely sure. |

nosaidiake: House need ur input Visa was approved and original passport was requested and sent passport to Abuja. Over a month now passport is not returned yet and on the application portal, the status change from approved to processing... What does it mean You are to call, mail or chat VFS online with your tracking ID for feedback. Do that immediately before it's close of business. Some people sef, why wait till a month to complain when you have 30days from the date of your PPR to submit your ppt for stamping. Contact VFS immediately for tracking |

Biggyman11: I was offered a Post Secondary School Program/Diploma with a Canadian College in Ontario. Do you think I have a higher chance of getting a visa due to my age and the program? I am 36 and I’m going to study for post secondary program. What are my chances of getting a visa? Is there age limit for this program? Someone here got approved and was 45yrs. You only need to package a strong application that's all. Ensure that your course is somewhat related to your previous degree or working experience to stand a better chance. Not saying that career switch is not possible. |

Please where did you submit your passport to and what’s the progress? Swears bro. Used DHL here on 16th, vfs sent me receipt acknowledge mail yesterday 17th. Put your passport, two photocopies of your ppt bio data page (write your email and phone number on the photocopies), the ppt request letter, two filled consent forms and your biometrics slip in a large brown envelope and ship to them. Write your full name, address, email and phone number on the envelope. They already knew the vfs office address to ship to immediately I mentioned Canada visa office but for your own knowledge it's: Canada Visa application centre Ground floor, The manor plot 110, admiral ayinla way Treasure garden estate, third roundabout Lekki. Saw where someone mentioned two way courier, I don't know what it means and had already shipped before I saw the post. Congratulations once again bro.

Thomsyne: Once again, its PPRRRRR - Loooooonnnnggggg post alert!!
First off, I’d like to thank God and many members of this platform for helping and keeping things running on here.
My profile in summary: 25y/o single male, parent sponsored, Computer Engineering BSc, graduated with second class upper, going for MSc, Computational Sciences. Graduated in 2020, worked as a Software Engineer ever since then.
Timeline and Events New Portal First-time applicant Applied by myself. Learnt all from Google, Youtube, and Nairaland
July 4: Upfront medicals July 8: Application on New Portal July 8: Biometrics Request July 13: Gave biometrics and received on portal ** Somewhere in between I’d uploaded my medical sheet from IOM via webform. Can’t remember when. August 4 (2AM): Sent mail to Lagos, Nairobi, London and attached my medical sheet. August 4 (Around 1pm): Biometrics and Medicals updated to pass. ** Long wait, ordered notes, CBSA and GCMS, nothing tangible. October 11: Sent mail to MP October 13: MP got back literally saying the same thing on portal. ** Around this period, started firing several versions of mails and webforms. Nov 16: MP reached out to them again – Preassessment done, eligibility not started. Nov 17 (Around midnight): Sent mails to Beijing, London, Lagos, Abuja, Nairobi. Nov 17 (Around 12pm): Eligibility review started on portal Nov 17 (Around 9pm): BVL and PPR
Little story, for POF which is usually a concern, I had like 5.5M in my account, $2k USD in dorm account. 5M was gift deed from my Dad, he had 25M in fixed deposit since July 2021. As at the time I applied, the money was fixed. There were several opinions about this, but I kept it that way even though I was scared sh*tless. The closing balance of that account was 77k in fact.
Around November 9 ish, I sent updated statement showing liquidated funds and my Dad transferred the balance of like 8M to me since I’d enrolled in courses. My savings in Naira and USD had grown, I also got salary raise at work so I packaged all these and sent severally via webforms – both old and new. Oh yeah, I’ve ordered like 3 notes and I still have 4 pending lol.
I’m adding all of these because I’m not sure what did the trick. It’s pretty much a combination of all.

Mamaoseme33: Good evening everyone. Pls I need some advice on what to do. The thing is I got an offer letter from teesside university in the Uk. Besides, I am also applying to colleges in Canada to go for PGD, however, I haven't gotten offer letter from Canada college yet. Meanwhile, I heard Canada gives PR once I graduates but in Uk it not so. What do I do guys, should I forget about the UK and continue with applying to Canada or go to UK and also continue to apply to Canada, Although the money involved is much. Pls what do you advice I do Gaining admission is not a challenge with Canada, it's getting the student visa, however, for UK it's easier so long as you have the right documents and POF. Applying to colleges in Canada takes a mini of three weeks from experience but this speed depends on the intake you're applying for and how close it is to current intake in the year. If you are confident that you will get the student visa then proceed and ditch the UK part but if you're not certain then stick with UK. Get over there do your thing and apply for Canada PR from there. Good luck. |

Smarthill18: It's PPR for my brother. I'm so happy.
Second time applicant; Conestoga College 1st application was done through an agent. He Got a rejection due to financial reasons. We ordered his GCSMS and the Visa officer claimed he didn't have enough proof of relationship with his sponsor (Sister). Hence, he wasn't sure he will be able to afford it financially. He had to defer his admission to January 2023 and re-applied again. All thanks to @scott99tish for his advice.
Second application: Self
Application submission : 27th August
Upfront Medical passed : 26th September
Eligibility: Ghost update. Didn't know when it was updated.
Original passport collection: 17th November
What we did different to address the visa officers concerns (proof of relationship with sponsor);
I opened a canadian GIC account and Submitted the GIC certificate Congratulations. Well deserved. Who's narrating this, the brother or the sister? Some one here asked earlier about how to open a gic account, could you explain how you did it so others can learn. |

jhuly: Hello guys! Please I did an upfront medicals on 28th July and submitted with my application. I got a medical request from Ircc 2days ago, I uploaded my upfront E-sheet via webform that same day I got the request and I received a receipt confirmation email from them. A fellow applicant told me today, that her agent said it's better to redo the medicals because sendin the previous upfront sheet via webform will take 28days to get updated and might not even get updated. Please how true is this? If your upfront medicals is still valid, you don't need to go for another one, however, if it's no longer valid or close to expiration them redo it Asap. My Upfront medicals was uploaded while I was applying and after a month the update changed to *we are yet to receive your medicals*. I sent the e-medical sheet via webform and email 2-3 times daily for 2 days and they updated it to passed. You could also mail or call the clinic you did the assessment to confirm if they have forwarded your report. Good luck. |

titade0203: Good afternoon all,
@Gurus in the house, I have on admission offer for Post Graduate certificate course (PGC 1 Yr) May 2023 intake and I have already paid the first semester fee of $9200CAD out of the total of $17000CAD. I want to seek your guidance on step by step process of study permit application. I intend to apply by Jan 2023 and i want to inquire that at what point do i need to do the police certificate and medical test?
Thanks. Congratulations on your admission. SP Processing time is not as exact as it is stated on IRCC so the earlier you apply the better. You can use this December to gather all your documents and apply in Jan or apply asap if you have your documents already. The basic requirements are on IRCC, check them out and then decide what extra documents you will need to package a good application. Don't forget your SOP. Start now to draft it out, edit, add, subtract and also don't forget to use grammarly to check for plagiarism. Police report is not mandatory. Medicals is compulsory. You can do an upfront assessment before you apply or apply and wait for IRCC to instruct you to go for one. Good luck |

rk23roj23: I sumbitted my study permit application on 15 aug. and review of elgibility start on 9 sept. still no response. when can i expect ppr?? ANYBODY WITH SIMILAR TIMELINE? Application processing time is 13 Weeks, in reality it can take up to 17 weeks and on some rare cases less. Eligibility review is usually the last phase after medicals and biometrics are updated to passed so if your eligibility review started before these two then relax and wait for them to be updated before a decision is made. Good luck. |

NotaMod: Thank you for responding. So if i understand correctly, passport request will come from the office in Kenya, and will be sent to Kenya.
But the visa stamp will have Lagos office on it? For some reason Nigerian applications are reviewed and processed in Nairobi Kenya. The Lagos and Abuja office merely processes biometrics collection, receive your passport when it's required and inscribe the visa counterfoil already processed and presented to them from Nairobi. No your passport will not be shipped to Nairobi and returned for visa stamping, it will reflect the issuing country (Nairobi Kenya) and not Lagos. |

Olayinkaji: Good day Guys I have an issue. I was asked to submit diploma and English proficiency. I am from a English speaking country and it wasn't compulsory. I don't know why they are asking again. I have submitted WAEC then as final secondary school transcript. The school is Durham.
Should I just leave it English requirement depends on the school. You should have had an option to waive it before getting to the option of submitting your documents. It can be expensive but try to apply to like 2,3 schools at a time and make a choice once you get admission. I don't know about Durham but Seneca waives application fees from time to time. I didn't go for them cos I was expected to pay a deposit of my full first semester fees within 30 days when the admission was out. Good luck. |

Sheyman56: I saw this on my portal and I noticed that my medicals that was passed since September 20 has changed to " you do not need a medical exam. We will send you message if this changes" . Though, my medicals has expired since November 9.... Also, my eligibility started since August 5... Has anyone experienced this before? What happened thereafter?
Should I book another medical appointment now or wait till they request for it.
The long wait is so frustrating, since June 8. Can't make sense of the attachment cos it was not cropped well. Read the update and take actions asap. You will need a valid medical assessment during and after your application so hastily get one done. Someone here was rejected with reasons stating that their medicals was not received even when the medicals was upfront. Good luck. |

I am self sponsor and going with 2 of my kids

I appreciate your well wishes and prayers.
I gave this application my best but sadly, it was not enough.
I am about to order for CBSA note to really understand their reasons for refusal.
Thank you all
I wish everyone still expecting PPR good news
