EzeUche:that was definitely not cool but what are we saying, this is just a faceless forum and everyone can pretty much do whatever he/she wants. This is not in any way comparable to actions of leaders in the real world. The actions of kanu your hero could have brought war to us again...war which was the source of your rage in the first place. |
Saintsquare:abi, we are waiting for such video. They keep trying to compare a certified mad kanu to other moderate people |
Ikechu10:look what I said is common knowledge the only person I know to have condemned kanu is okorocha, so except you provide links of the others you mentioned condemning and dissociation the igbos from kanu's hate speech you are wasting your time. |
pazienza:You folks come here and say Igbos have no leader then you talk to me that none of your kings have made hate speech against yorubas. Look bro no one here knows any igbo king talk less of knowing when they speak, all of you support kanu the acclaimed successor to Ojukwu so your attempt to twist the argument has failed already. Now like I said earlier, I don't support people who hide behind a tribe to insult other people and neither does the great Yoruba tribe. Social media would always be social media, it's the opinions of leaders and elders that count every where in this world |
pazienza:it's too late for all this, you Igbos probably due to your deficient culture will always be at a disadvantage when it comes to matters such as this. Take Oba Akiolu's outburst for example, almost all notable Yoruba elders came out to condemn his utterance including tinubu, and governor ambode and my humble self, now your elders were all silent when the mad kanu was talking and was allowed to run wild, and probably including yourself, and in fact I challenge you to provide a quote of you condemning kanu's utterances, I dare you. That's the difference between yorubas and Igbos. Youths can be excused for their stupidity but if elders cannot take a stand, like what we are used to seeing from you Igbos, then we can as well say wisdom is alien to your culture. The youths or a nobody who makes such can be dismissed not one who has followers. The northerners who you love to castigate also understand this fact, that's why they sent the youth wing to threaten your people. |
TonyeBarcanista:You didn't get the memo, not everyone wants to be called a Nigerian ,and the fact is instead of us pretending to be mature enough to come to an understanding, we should all endeavor to chase each other back to our origins only then will we know if we need each other and if Nigeria is worth fighting for. |
Whoever is forming shocked is deceiving him/herself. It was only a matter of time before things get to this point. Igbos have been having a field day insulting the rest of us even the SS, now people are clapping back at them and heaven should fall abi? How many times did we tell them to caution kanu and ipob youths? What the igbo elders failed to realise that if you don't secure your wild dog, you will be held responsible for any damage it causes. There was a story/rumour of a cow named buhari by ipob youths in a popular newspaper and the fact that igbo elders went dumb, probably enjoying the pun was not only a disgrace to the word elder but to the igbo tribe in general. Igbos stop making enemies for yourself and if you decide to seceede it shouldn't be by making irreparable damage in relations to those who would be your neighbors. |
The igbos let kanu loose on the rest of us and now they are feeling the heat. You should have cautioned him when he was spewing this rubbish but instead you encouraged him. Now the northern youths are doing the same and you are scared |
venai:I'm Yoruba and that phrase you quoted was written in pure Yoruba language |
tomzman:If you should see one at full speed you go pick race, looks can be deceiving. They are quit fast |
Op trains have been working and still functioning in ibadan for a long time. And yes they are fast moving even though they are quite old, I believe they can move as fast as 60kmph. I see/hear them passing everyday along my bodija area. i also know trains work in other states too, cos it did in osogbo, sounds state while I stayed there for a couple of years in 2012. Government has to do more of course because of the obvious reasons, like them being a lot safer and cheaper than road transportation and it would probably prolong the life cycle of our roads if we can transport goods by rail. In some cases I belive transportation by rail would be faster because most rail track are built on a near linear path than most roads,(not many curves) It's also cheap, in fact more than cheap, while I was at osogbo , a lady friend used rail service to transport her furniture from ibadan to osogbo and the total cost then was N300, it would have cost thousands by road. I was shocked when she told me the cost with a smug smile like "these people don't know anything".then the trip from ekiti to osogbo was just N250 |
Rossikki:op if the igbos do seceed, our relationship would be largely based on the way and manner such secession occurs, if it was in animosity and bad blood like the one we are having at the moment, then I think both our nationalities won't be welcome in our respective countries. That's why I've always stressed to the fanatic ipob members to think of the future, I myself spent 12 years plus in the north and speak hausa fluently, I have never spent 2days straight in any part of the East. So like most yorubas I think we feel more welcome in the north than in the east. So if we do part in hate, it would be better if we just stay on our sides of the divide, cos I think the clamour for biafra has been the inability of the igbos to coexist with us. So if it happens everybody should just maintain his lane. Whether or not we choose to accept biafran would be at our discretion. So the ball is in their court . also i think our nature differs and that yorubas are more accommodating in that almost everyone knows the meaning of our 'ekaabo' (welcome) greeting, up till date I don't know what welcome means in igbo. So all this might change if we have bad blood if/when we go our separate ways, and right now it seems Igbos will be asked to leave |
Nice, ibadan is just too big, we go fit remove like 3 "lagoses" just from the ancient city, oyo state is definitely too big to be just one state. |
Look mister no one gets revenge for the effects of war or genocide that's why we must learn from the past ,if it truly happened, then it is a regrettable incident that should never happen again to any group of people. ask the Albanians, Japanese, or the Jews whose heritage most of your people love to cling. The most any can do is talk about it. And I think Igbos should learn a thing from the Jews since many claim to be "juice", they suffered the most horrific genocide in recent times but aren't bitching about it. They ve moved on. So stop being a cry baby, you didn't even witness the war. Move the f.k on |
Lol @ op,guess you were horrified at the show of shame by your ipodian brothers, too late to borrow your ipodian brothers some sense so you attempted to blame other people for your people's misdeeds. The article was published by your beloved vanguard and everyone knows it to be a mouth peice of ipob. Big up to chigoboss one of the few moderate Igbos who was horrified by the acts of his kinsmen that he created a thread warning them to stop such despicable behavior https://www.nairaland.com/3827553/cow-named-buhari-ndigbo-stop You should see how he was attacked for not being a fanatic. Anyway we aren't suprised. everyone can see how you like to play the victim even when you are caught red handed. Just know everyone sees you for what you are. Next time when your brothers start acting without first thinking be like chigoboss and warn them, blaming other people isn't only futile, everyone knows hate has taken over majority of the igbos |
For those just joining this thread, pls go through the thread and understand the betrayal and humiliation the yorubas suffered after we toiled to make a most exceptional ingrate in the name of "Goodluck" ebele Jonathan president and how he repaid us by marginalizing us while our brothers from the East urged him on and praised him, some daring us to go to war and be slaughtered . While some of you after reading this might become angry at the betrayal and humiliation we suffered, pls know that we endured it with uncommon patience and sent the President Jonathan back to the obscurity from which he emerged.with that went the undue advantages our brothers from the East who had been taunting us enjoyed .and So we're the enemies of the yorubas shamed and will forever be. |
baminasri:wow this is an eye opener. I was shocked hearing him speak with such cold remorseless manner in which he executed sardauna. This shouldn't be at all, if the coup was noble, the executions wouldn't have been portrayed as a victory rather than an unfortunate event. These cold hearted killers no try at all |
GodIsBiafran:get well soon |
Amarabae:You are one of the most reasonable igbos on thus forum, your people decided to create a monster to solve a political problem, a very bad move because monsters have a way of becoming uncontrollable at a point. The other day we heard of little kids swearing to die for biafra as if they were old enough to know what death, biafra or politics mean. I was surprised because the elders in igboland who i thought would be outraged by such stood by and weren't bothered. You spoke about igbophobia, take the likes of GodisBiafran, evilunityseekers and many more other and tell me if they aren't the cause. I used to think the tribal hatred was a joke till I started encountering igbos with minds filled with hate and arrogance. You people need to check yourselves. These people are among us, some have hidden their hate and only come online to spew it, some are becoming bold and are doing so in the open. People are noticing it and if reasonable pple like you stand aside and the shit hits the fan, you will be forced into taking sides. The struggle for biafra shouldn't be about bitterness, afterall even if it happens we will still be neighbours so let everyone think of the future. |
Mujtahida:lol not you,I quoted the biafran dude I wouldn't waste time insulting him not to talk of sensible pple like you. |
GodIsBiafran:Why are you so obsessed with akinphysicist, even if you are one of his wives like he claimed you shouldn't be so hooked on him, like a crackhead seeking a fix, this is a clear symptom of obsessive compulsive disorder. Get help bro |
vayne:yea it's funny, funny that you and your people decided to attack the op because he and his people want nothing to do with biafra. Your comments such as your call for referendum on urhobo land is one of the funniest btw |
Mujtahida:lmao , even a literary genius was so amused by the show of stupidity by the ipodian hordes that he, taking the form of a jester, spoke words of excoriation and chastisement veiled in humor to the cheers of the people. the ipodian hordes, in their disgrace crawled back to their burrows where they wait to be enthralled and steered back to the surface to suffer another show of shame that would surely come. For that is the curse of the ipodian horde. |
mekuzi09:lol I sympathize with you and amarabee , you lots have a lot of work to do as many of your folks don't even have a mind of their own. Evilunitybeggars has been programmed to spew the same nonsensical rhetoric even if it makes no sense. This is why most of us laugh when biafra is mentioned, if people like Evilunitybeggars are not properly rehabilitated and if they are allowed to have a say in either the struggle for biafra or the nation itself if it somehow manages to come into being, then it is already doomed before it's journey began. |
technicallyrich:If not for your Gej in all his buffoonery, the lackadaisical attitude of the SS, and the shortsightedness of our ipodic brothers in the east you probably wouldn't know the meaning of the word betrayal. You want to accuse the yorubas of betrayal? here's the true meaning of betrayal from the tribe of perpetual victims in the east https://www.nairaland.com/745731/yoruba-marginalization-elders-met-jonathan |
ganisucks:lol so because we had a Nigeria/biafra war, we must also have Nigeria /"oduduwa"war abi. No be only oduduwa war na Amadioha war. You pple sha want revenge as if that would bring back those that were lost. Go sleep my friend ![]()
|
DrGoodman:who wants war? You must be new on nairaland |
We ll give Nothing but our total support to acting president osinbajo.. Any northerner who isn't happy can visit the lagoon on a one way ticket. This country belongs to all of us hausa Yoruba, igbo and etc till we come together to divide it. |
Northern youths thought their leaders had monopoly to trash talk and make inciting statements until FFK. FFK nothing do you jor fire them
|
ZombieTAMER:so vanguard has been hijacked by afonja from ipoh abi. No worry Seddon there till we take over biafra star too ![]()
|
hammer6:How does an article written by a Dr ugoji egbujo and published by popular ipodian newspaper vanguard become an afonja matter? I'm not surprised, You people have always been cry babies looking for whom to blame. |
Afam4eva:incidentally yours is a tribe that can't take a joke, a joke that you found so funny 5 years ago . now you want to destroy the country because karma has come for its due. Even though the Yoruba as victims of marginalization were taunted by the igbos, I can't seem to find marginalization of any group funny, the Yoruba people instead of threatening to destroy the country, issuing ultimatum used politics to tell you how funny the joke is. now it's better you tell your people to take this as a joke too. Your habit of dying in the name of biafra just to destabilize the country is not only daft but also futile. my advice: You lots should just accept karma and change your ways. |

IJAW and a BIAFRAN
