PoliticsRe: PDP Chairmanship: North Dumps South-West by jollymizzle(m): 9:35am On Dec 07, 2017
donbenie:
There are two deputies,if you had bothered to read thoroughly..one from the South and another from the North..
And the SW should put their house in order, before looking for who to blame..
this is not a South West matter, it's a pdp South West matter (that incidentally appears to be on life support) it's either they let it die or they find the donors for the organs it needs to survive. it's left for the pdp to decide if the cost of winning the southwest is greater than the advantage/loss from those who would have to donate the organs(I'm looking at South East viz the vp slot. grin they are I'm afraid the only compatible donor) jokes apart though, the pdp needs south west.
PoliticsRe: PDP Chairmanship: North Dumps South-West by jollymizzle(m): 9:14am On Dec 07, 2017
Alphanancy:
You dont get it. They plan to get the VP from the SW.
i don't think so, the south eastern eyes have 'claimed' Atiku I think, as they are his most vocal supporters online at least. they have already proposed okonjo iweala, Peter obi, soludo, obiano's as his running mate already, I don't think they will take it well if they don't get the vp slot. but sincerely I think it would be more advantageous to Atiku if he chose from SS or SW.

The fact that well known Igbo-hating bigots are agreeing with your post is very telling. It’s not in our culture to ‘air our dirty laundry’ in public. There are other channels that you could use to spread this message, not on this Igbo hate-filled site.
the sensible lady is embarrassed by you people. Its actually a noble thing to correct your people if they are making a fool of themselves, it takes guts too. you don't have to be irrational just to satisfy the stupidity of some, else you become just like them.

Superficial unity that exists in south west just to undermine the political interests of south east only. South -south all the way.
pdp southwest being in shambles does not equate to lack of unity. people like me don't care about the pdp, even though we are not totally happy with the APC. if we had a third option I'm telling you even APC would be terrified. pdp is just about to make another mistake just like they made with sheriff. I'm not saying secondous is not fit.pdp needs southwest and Atiku needs to find a way to get southwest pdp to unite, to work for him else the party will fail in southwest. giving APC even more advantage than they have at the moment. I want a close race between pmb and Atiku but at the moment it's not looking good for pdp, there's still time though.

A chairman and Deputy from the south?

The PDP is playing a dangerous game sha. They need the SW and can't afford another tussle.
very dangerous game, they better just postpone the convention to iron this important issue out. Atiku needs to sort this if he wants one vote from the southwest. because all this seems like taking the southwest for granted. something Gej learned too late, that he had to break open central bank just to rain dollars while making lagos his permanent residence . I was actually hoping for a close race so politicians will know not to take the electorate for granted, but pdp are making it too easy for APC at the moment.
PoliticsRe: The Self Destruction Of Northern Nigeria by jollymizzle(m): 2:11am On Nov 26, 2017
wow, bravo op. as someone who spent more than 14 years in the north (kano) when it was at its worst, I can say for all the religious and politically influenced violence I still can't hate the typical hausa man. the issue of boko-haram is of course something we should be concerned about, especially since it's glaring external forces are at play. when you think of their demands, they do not want money like most agitators so they can't be bought off, they want to establish a caliphate.just like Isis and I belive the only point they are willing to negotiate is how much land they'd have to be given. so sad that the Northerners have not decided to take this matter more seriously especially with the numerous cost of lives it has consumed.
PoliticsRe: Possibility Of An Edo Or Igbo To Rule Lagos In 2023 by jollymizzle(m): 1:36pm On Nov 24, 2017
our igbo brothers can be 'harmlessly' funny Sha. let there be a bad news or incident in lagos they are always the first to rejoice, the next day they are claiming it as their own..let the headlines tomorrow read 'LAGOS TO SINK IN FIVE YEARS:UN' we know what their reaction would be. i remember when the special status bill for lagos was shot down, they rolled out the drums rejoicing as if they wouldn't be the ones to enjoy it owing to the 'fact' that they own 90% of lagos grin. seriously though, how they do it without running mad is the 8th wonder of this world.

HiddenShadow:
If you believe you are in charge of your state and have delivered good governance, you should be worried when 15% turn out to vote.

It means, you have lost your people.
well the turnout was low, and yes ipob did play a part, but as you can see it's no where near the purported 90% infact it's way off, just coming close to 10%.

Igbos don't die like rats like those in the West who die daily in the hands of head cutters.

If we have high death rate, you won't have noticed our huge population all over the world.

jollymizzle check my post about your post.
i did but bro you have to be reasonable, according to your calculations, 78% didn't vote in 2013 about 122k, now with the boycott we have 85% of voters not coming to vote 175k, the difference is 7%,for you to have 90% success rate, the turnout should not be more than 45,000, now that we have about 400,000 I'll say the election boycott was 10% successful.
PoliticsRe: Was The Anambra Election Boycott Successful? by jollymizzle(m): 1:28pm On Nov 19, 2017
HiddenShadow:
The boycott proved 2 things

1) IPOB has more sympathizers

2) Igbos are tired of Nigeria.
wait o, boycott successful, how? can you explain what you mean by successful boycott, considering that the no of voters was about the same or even more than that of 2013 wen we didn't have a boycott campaign? I really want to know how you arrived at that conclusion. must be I'm missing something
PoliticsRe: Was The Anambra Election Boycott Successful? by jollymizzle(m): 1:25pm On Nov 19, 2017
one thing is clear now IMHO, ipob should avoid anambra state, obiano's second term in office would be brutal for any ipob member.the best thing for ipob would have been to support a candidate for the elections but they missed that opportunity. now obiano's may be out for blood owing to ipob many plans to disrupt his reelection.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Is Part Of Yorubaland - Femi Okunnu by jollymizzle(m): 12:46pm On Nov 10, 2017
PointB:
You think it's only Igbos who see your greedy moves to annex proceed from the Ports and other FG strategic investment for yourselves? You think Igbos are the only one who have problem with your schemes to exclude other citizens of the benefit of the large market that Lagos is?

Goodluck with your delusions bro, when the chips are down, we'll see how far you can go with your greedy schemes and machinations!
my brother it's like you are taking this the wrong way, this discussion may have the look and feel of an argument but I assure you it isn't. it's two separate sides. those who believe it's a no man's land and those who belive lagos to be yoruba land. we have made known where we stand on the matter. I am also willing to let you have the last word if you think this to be an argument.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Is Part Of Yorubaland - Femi Okunnu by jollymizzle(m): 12:13pm On Nov 10, 2017
PointB:
We will nip such seed in the bud, and we will raise Nigerians consciousness of Yoruba intention to cheat the rest of us of our investments in Ports and other federal facilities in Lagos. Imagine the revenue generated in the Ports only (the only viable ports), Yorubas want to claim all for themselves? It's not gonna happen.

If and when it's time to restructure, we'll make sure Lagos is reclassify as Home for All, and outside the control of South West.

Lagos is like Oil! God gave Nigeria both; no one persons is going to have absolute control of it.

Lagos belong to Nobody; Lagos belongs to Everybody. That is why it is now - No Mans-Land!
i see where you are going, but then I don't think other people have any problem with lagos belonging to the yorubas,it's only igbos who have been calling lagos a no man's land.goodluck in your endeavor, you may even recruit the jews if you want,
PoliticsRe: Lagos Is Part Of Yorubaland - Femi Okunnu by jollymizzle(m): 12:07pm On Nov 10, 2017
for me as a Yoruba man, restructuring can wait, this matter is far more important.a yoruba elder has spoken up on the matter, now we await the response of those who think otherwise all over nigeria, especially our brothers from the East.

PointB:
Eject the tenants now! Why are you perambulating? If you see squatters on your land, aint you supposed to kick them out? Why are you crying a river like a pathetic weakling?
We sow the seed and we wait, even with my stance on this matter I do not think I being unreasonable.you are saying it's a no man's land, I'm saying it belongs to the yorubas. however discussions such as this would help bring this matter to a speedy conclusion.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Is Part Of Yorubaland - Femi Okunnu by jollymizzle(m): 11:47am On Nov 10, 2017
it's good the 'no man's land' theory is generating a debate and has been noticed by the Yoruba elders. now it's time to set the record straight.now it's time we start showing who the real owners or Lagos are.
PoliticsRe: Deport Destitute Ibos Back Home To Their Governors by jollymizzle(m): 10:37am On Nov 09, 2017
I as a Yoruba man appreciate the op for having the courage to speak on such a controversial issue. thank God for ambode who has been working tirelessly to restore the Yoruba identity of lagos state. normally we shouldn't have to stress that lagos belongs to the yorubas but it's now imperative that we continue shouting at the rooftops and initiating policies to reclaim what we might have lost just as ambode is doing. we have been challenged in our own backyards and we are now awake. those who call our land no man's land should not be suprised when we actively seek to correct such notion
PoliticsRe: Throwback Deportation:fashola Was Wrong To Apologize To Igbos, Says Fani- Kayode by jollymizzle(m): 6:22am On Nov 01, 2017
Mr. Fani-Kayode said. “It is better to lose a million elections outside Yorubaland than to concede even one inch of Yoruba territory to those that seek to lay claim to that which is not theirs. A word is enough for the wise.”

The bolder should serve as a warning to those who believe lagos to be a no man's land, it is unwise to test the patience of the Yoruba, especially when we've been welcoming to all who come to our land to make a living.

Don't waste your time nobody begged you to support us,we do not need you, please give your vote and all of your family's members votes to pdp like you did in 2015,President Buhari till 2027. WE DO NOT NEED YOU,NEVER DID,NEVER WILL.
lol u sound so confident, just like 2014 when some people were typing Gej till 2090.guesd what happened. Why do you think tinubu was invited to aso rock after more than a year? To eat dinner abi? The same mistake those people who shouted Gej till so and so made is exactly the same mistake you are making now. The only difference is buhari still has a little more time Than Gej did, he got to know the real feeling on the streets very late, that was why he broke the bank sharing dollars to anyone who would take it. Because he listened to people like you, now tell me what achievements you are going to tell the people in 2019 IA it the lopsided appointments? . Gej had a lot actually but it wasn't even enough. Better you let baba know we who put him in power are not happy if you doubt, check my post around the election period to know whose side I was on back then. Tell him before it's too late
PoliticsRe: Buhari Meets Tinubu, Saraki, Dogara Others In Aso Rock by jollymizzle(m): 4:50pm On Oct 30, 2017
Good for him, except tinubu might not be able to salvage his precidency... That's even if he agrees to. He was sick all this while and Nigeria became worse than it was, all his appointees are corrupt and he has lost the anti-corruption war he claimed to have been fighting. The economy is almost gone. he should just step aside in 2019.let anybody who thinks otherwise tell me what this government would campaign with in 2019.even Jonathan wasn't half as bad at governance. So disappointed in baba. Whoever thought someone could actually be worse than Jonathan?
PoliticsRe: President Buhari Sacks Babachir Lawal And Oke, Appoints Boss Mustapha As New SGF by jollymizzle(m): 4:37pm On Oct 30, 2017
Too late, not good enough, too slow to act, unserious and corrupt government. Buhari should just leave quietly in 2019 cos he's not getting reelected.
PoliticsRe: Where Is Nnamdi Kanu? by jollymizzle(m): 1:10pm On Oct 29, 2017
Now, the question that I thought should be raised before the court is, whether Abaribe and co, still had a responsibility to the court, if the subject of the litigation was attacked, disappeared, or even forced to flee, were it to be the case, by the same government trying him, thus putting his bailers in jeopardy.

If someone agrees to bail you and you yourself agree to the bail conditions, it is common sense that you adhere to the bail conditions in order not to put yourself or more importantly in this case your guarantor in jeopardy. Abaribe himself should see kanu's actions as a betrayal of trust. Kanu wasn't forced to accept bail, Mandela refused to give up his struggle for freedom and he spent 27years in jail. And Abaribe the moment he realized the person for whom he stood guarantor had broken the bail conditions should have applied to be released from such bonds. Maybe he relied on his 'semi immunity' as a senator hoping to escape the consequences or get became so enamored with the political score he made by bailing kanu. And of course he became very popular among ipob faithfuls. So the prosecution also has an argument in this regard.
PoliticsRe: Where Is Nnamdi Kanu? by jollymizzle(m): 12:46pm On Oct 29, 2017
I certainly don't like the guy for many reasons, one of which I belive was that he could have been a Fela, Gani rolled into one,but he decided his people were more human than the rest of us. As if we didn't all contribute to make Nigeria the giant mess it is today. If he had chosen to be the peoples champion,we would all have been out fighting for him now regardless of ethnicity or religion. even with all that his disappearance had a sinister plot of sort. But then no one knows what really happened, was he killed or captured ? Did he run. We haven't heard from his wife, family and everything is calm. The lethargic manner ipob has been handling his disappearance seems dubious too. His Turkish 'diplomat' friend was assuring people some weeks ago that he 'ran' so even though he's missing its safe to assume that he either took to his heels or accepted a token to abandon his course. So even though we all want to know where he is and if he is alive. The little clues at the moment serves as strong premises to conclude his disappearance to be a deliberate action

Sai Baba till final whistle.
You are making the same mistake Jonathan's fans made in 2015,all of the saying Gej til 2019.the truth is baba has disappointed most of us who supported him just like Jonathan did.I remember how I signed campaigned for people to sign the famous petition to reaffirm our confidence in baba. now its either baba spends the remainder of his term aggressively trying to make things work or he gets booted out of office like his predecessor.the truth is I'm not able to point to a single achievement of this administration.the corruption that has been allowed to fester in this 'change' administration is mind boggling and might even top tat of Jonathan's, so why then did we vote baba if we wanted more of the same? Things are most definitely worse off than when Gej was in government especially the economy. So the truth must be said, Sai baba till this or that doesn't mean a thing if things don't change for the better.
