Ibime: That's what I always thought but there is scope to reduce our numbers by maybe 30% with automation. Accountants disappearing? I laugh in Chinese. Accountants can never go out of vogue. There's no software no matter ho complex it is that can replace what accountants do. The roles will definitely evolve to accommodate technology but will never go out of vogue cos not every company will be able to use technology and the ones that can will never trust their finances to technologies. The article is even mixing accountants and financial planners with banking processes. No matter how sophisticated a banks technologies are, they will always need an accountant to interpreter those figures. People mistake accountants for bankers. That was how a man walked into an audit firm I once worked with to inquire about how to set up an audit firm because he worked and retired as an auditor in a bank. I nearly burst into laughter that day. Its like saying economics as a profession will disappear. |

On the contrary, he cared so much that he sacked his agent and never had any agent because of commission but what he failed to realised was that beyond the commission and representation, agents determine where footballers end up playing at. |

Business › Re: How Can I Recover My Money From A Lady? by jomoh: 9:53am On Sep 28, 2017 |
udumosam23: I offer quickteller and agent banking services. A customer made a cash deposit, but during the transfer from my account to hers, there was network issue and i got a failure notice from my mobile app. I tried again and it was successful.
Latter i realised both transactions were succesful. I called her and she called the recipients who complained she is in hospital as at the time. So she gave me the number of the recipient to call her myself.
I did call her, and she told me she was still at the hospital, and though she acknowledged the double transfer, but her health comes first.
I sympathize with her situation and gave her time. I also prayed for her recovery (pls don't think it's because of the money, I'm a Christian).
After a week i called again and thankfully she has recovered, but she was harsh on me. She complained that was not the first time someone posted money wrongly to her account. And finally ask me to remove the money if i have a way of doing so.
I went to the bank to lodge the complain only to realise she has withdrawn all the money. She doesn't even use the account frequently and the address is very far from the East. Infact, she is at Illorin.
I thought of getting a court order as adviced against the account. But then the amount is small, just 30,000. Don't want to think about how much I'll begin to spend with a lawyer in a bid to recover that amount.
My bank also wanted to... (don't even know how they called that) to her account. But money doesn't even come frequently to the account.
I have thought of threatening her, but i have already given her the impression I'm a Christian.
Just thinking on how best to recover my small money without having to spend more than it.
I have also thought of letting go. But each time i do, i think of the amount as too big to dash a criminal. Besides, she said it wasn't the first time. Probably she went away with others, and if she go away with this too, she'll continue and encourage others to do same.
So please what do i do in this case, considering the fact that I'm at the east, and she west. This is a small way you can. Since you said the bank was willing to place something on her account, then you can have someone else transfer another money to her account and the bank places a restriction on her account so that she cannot withdraw with the ATM and when she enters the bank to collect it, she can be arrested by the bank and made to refund the previous one. Make sure you involve the bank in all this arrangement especially before making another transfer. |

I never really liked this guys nor their songs and once again they've lost my respect.
A lot of people have been blaming the woman "Lola" since but no one seem to be pointing to the lack of love between the family.
No matter how powerful the devil is, he cannot enter a place where love thrives. If there was ever real love between the brothers before the woman came into the picture, the so called "devil/woman" wouldn't have been able to break the union to this level.
It goes to show that those guys had a very terrible loveless upbringing.
Mind you, Jude and Paul being on the same side doesn't mean they love each other, they are only showing loyalty to the family than Peter is.
Loyalty can exist without love but there can never be love without loyalty. |

dealslip: Lol! This incoherent epistle is meant to cover up your warped mindset about women. In your mind, you think you have an idea of how women function. You think everyone is driven by egos and emotions like yourself. You have no idea of the fact that the mind is common to both men and women alike. What you store in there overtime is the fruit you eventually display. Sadly it is the woman that agrees to marry a pitiable soul like you that should be pitied of all men. How excruciating it must be for her. NB: I started the journey of marriage 10 years ago and I was careful not to have selected a toxic, cave mentalist like you. Today, I enjoy every bit of this journey as a CEO who takes decisions without needing to consult anyone because they occupy a male anatomy. Decisions are made based on the circumstances, where it would require professional and competence you seek well tested professionals and sometimes you are the professional and don't need to seek. Sometimes you just need to trust your intuition and gut. I hope you understand now that no two human are the same hmmm! I didn't bother to read your rants. So I have no littlest idea of what senseless gibberish you wrote upthere. |

dealslip: This is absurd. Out of which cave did you come out of. You definitely belong to the stone age. Your observation is so saddening. No wonder Nigeria is this way. You will eventually get to a position of authority and make decisions based on this mindset. I cringe for what those women who will eventually be your subordinate will have to go through. Wow. Honestly I thought you are or would be a sane mind to exhange ideas with but then you just proved my point and on top of it, you proved to be on the worst side of the divide. A sane mind would seek to know the reasons behind those assertion before jumping to conclusion but no you're not. Like a mad man who regrets after seeing the result of his madness. Its not his fault he couldn't think before taking action, it is what nature has dealt him. If you have anything with your mental or social life I suggest you take it up with a psychologist or rather a psychiatrist rather than take it out online. No matter how high your ego is, it would never cover up your lapses as a woman. It is who you are. I pitty the unfortunate man that will eventually refer to you as a wife or the mother of his children with this kind of mindset. |

Its actually not an insult, it is the way women are wired and it gives the women edge over men is some important cases. Let me ask you this questions. If I'm to present you with problem solving decisions, will you consult people for advise or make decisions on your own? When faced with making up to 10 decisions how many times would you consult people for advise? Kindly provide an honest answer lets discuss this. |

How can a man live with a violent woman to the point of getting stabbed.
I cannot even hit a woman let alone live with one that will return the favour.
One thing I fear most in women is their sense of judgement. Very poor. That's why they regret most of their actions after they've taken it. |

So the cost of production is higher than the selling price. APC should keep on with their lies on gulliable Nigerians.
Stupid lies Read what you wrote again. Does it make sense? You don't even know the difference between the selling price and the cost price. The cost price is $23/barrel while The selling price was $45 presently more than $57. So which one is higher? Cost price $23 Selling Price $45 No wonder you can't even spell gullible. |

Ugosample: Oh, so you are now bringing the "lame" excuse on trust?
What sort of silly argument is that?
A subsidy bill that was heavy and wasting our money is what you are saying trust?
Nigeria really no deserve good thing Everything is always about tribalism, nepotism and narrow reasoning So you don't need trust from someone who wants to manage your finance? You don't care if He or she is competent enough to manage your finance? No wonder You mentioned nepostism and tribalism but you should be ashamed of yourself for mentioning tribalism and nepotism in this discuss. Do you know my tribe? or my relation? You have shown that you're the tribalist here who taught she is been castigated because of her tribe but you shamelessly forgot that the person that initiated this expose on her is her kinsman(Charles Soludo). At one point Obi ezekwesili (another of her kinsman) also joined in blaming her for her role. Those her people of excellence who saw beyond the narrow thinking of tribalism that you're engulfed in. Yes the subsidy was wasting our resources but what happened to the fund her ministry realised when the increased the fuel to N92 from N64? nothing to show for it. So you expect me to trust her with total removal? someone that couldn't explain how she managed the partial subsidy removal? We are not all fools you know. Despite the price of crude oil averaging $100 at that time, she couldn't manage the economy you now expect me to trust her with the little I was enjoying as the citizen. All the promise of transit buses to be provided with the initial removal have you seen any? They are all in the hands of private transporters charging you and I exorbitant fees for what belongs to us. A woman that borrowed money less than 6months after oil started trading for $25/barrel despite years of the price averaging $100/barrel, I wonder the magic she would perform in an economy averaging $36/barrel. an with very low output at some point. In your last post you mentioned PMB borrowing from the first day. FYI every government borrows almost all the time, what to do with it is what matters. Only a foolish and irresponsible government borrows to pay salary. Is salary an investment? How does she expect to pay back the loan? |

madridsta007: Charles Soludo can be rightly seen as her direct competitor so I wouldn't look to him for any objective opinion.
I have not seen where a potential employer calls up a candidate previous place of work and asks to speak with employees there. No sir, that is not done. They ask to speak to the line manager. In this case both "employees", Soludo and NOI, had Obasanjo as their line manager. It is only normal that Obasanjo's opinion of both of them is seen with more authority than any other employee. This is how things work, I believe. Nope He was not. Soludo had a more secured and more respected job than Okonjo so I see no need for the competition. He controlled the treasury of the whole country and the president had no direct power over him. So he had a more recognised and respected job than Okonjo. The Nigerian banking industry will forever owe it's survival to Soludos recapitalization drive. In this situation the line manager(OBJ) has not provided the details of her performance and why he eased her out of office barely weeks after securing the much touted relief. Also the fact that she was shipped out of the economic team entirely has given credence to the fact that she was not in any way important in the scheme of things. I remembered she was shipped out of the country to be an ambassador. In my little experience in politics, that is a way of a leader saying "I don't want to see you around me but I don't want to humiliate you further by sacking you" |
Politics › Re: Obasanjo: Why I Appointed Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Finance Minster by jomoh: 9:33pm On Aug 14, 2017 |
wristbangle: God bless you sir. My reason for that score is due to not harnessing the non oil sector enough coupled with fund wastage on oil exploration in the north, some non performing/incompetent ministers in his cabinet and one way fight of corruption.
Every government have it's flaw and I would say GEJ is the most flawed democratic government since 1999 because despite oil price at $120 per barrel, he couldn't do much to boost other sector of the economy, build the necessary infrastructure and massive looting happened under his watch hence why he is seen as the clueless one.
Truly if his government had continue till now, I don't know what might have happened to Nigeria but that doesn't mean the current government are taking prompt steps to make average citizens enjoy dividend of democracy. Though recently we are getting positive news about the economy but this need to transcend to the masses. You're correct but we have to understand that no matter how boutant the economy of a country is, it's citizens will never feel it's impact unless the country has good infrastructure and institution in place. You're also correct that he could have done much more than what he has done and I agree with you. I like people who are objective in their criticism. Not the ones that never sees the good in their enemy or never sees the bad in their hero. |
