Arabic has always been the unofficial lingua franca of the north before the forced marriage of the north and south. Every country in the world tries to have more than one globally acceptable language. An average European speaks English while french and other languages are taught in most American schools.

The removal of History from our school curriculum is the reason for all this.

Every child is given a choice between Arabic and french and in Nigeria of today, we have more french graduates than Arabic. Arabic has even being in the north before English let alone french.

Whoever removed History from our curriculum would never find peace wherever he or she is. They were taught the first hand history of Nigeria.
