Help! My redmi note7 charges very slow. It takes up to 6hrs before getting fully charged. I noticed this started last week...any help will be appreciated.
PS: I've tried another charger and it's still the same. It charges backward instead

You all have been shown ways of getting things done. She didn't lie to you all about job not being in VT, she has always been positive about the place, then why guilt trip her because she's not willing to share her agent contact's with you? You have Google and other social medias, make use of them and choose your poison.

You can extend or change to a work visa or student visa when you come in
You don't need authenticated documents for this

I thought the borders are still closed? From my findings, you'll only get in only if you have sponsors, which is quite hard to get for a NNES. Getting flight from here to VT is another problem since flights are still not allowed in, except from fee Asian countries.

Our weather is not as cold as Non African countries. The lowest we can ever in Celsius is 24°(S-west) which doesn't even require keeping the ear warm

I'm actually enjoying this. Since the UK now offer 2years PS visa also, it looks like a wonderful choice. Ireland is too laid back unlike the UK. But it will be easier to move to another country from IRL tho, compared to the UK.

It's enough if you'll be going to Poland and Lithuania.
I'm not too sure about Estonia because, you'll still need to travel to Egypt or turkey for your visa interview. There's no Estonia embassy in Nigeria

OP, the amount you have is small but nothing is impossible.

What you'll do is to target the smaller Schegen countries so that it'll be easier for you to work there.
The easiest way travelling out is through studies. If you think of "hustling”, my brother, no do am o.

5. Finland

Yeah. I was referring to the law. Those that I've communicated with got their WP before landing. It'd be unfair to be at the mercy of employers.
I was surprised when a Zambian friend appointment was terminated for a NNES Ukrainian. That was where I knew there's and undercover racism in all Asian countries.

It's been resting and hanging out with friends for me. Almost forgot what that feels like.

Now that Vietnam has started issuing visas again, I thought I'll give a recap of the process and the latest updates because I've been getting a lot of mails on that. This way, everyone benefits

The recap will be in two procedures

1) The normal and initial procedure which I followed and is still valid

2) The new procedure which is still okay but involves quarantine changes.

PROCEDURE 1.

1) Get your TEFL or TESOL or CELTA certificate
2) Get you original degree certificate or your highest qualification
3) Get a police character report
4) Get a medical report
5)Authentic these things at the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese Embassy
6) Send to your agent and they take it up from there
7) Pray

Now note that this is a recap. A VERY DETAILED PROCESS is at the beginning of this thread. It's still valid.

Now to PROCEDURE 2

1) Get a copy of your degree
2) Get a copy of your passport
3) Passport picture
4) Send to your agent
5) Pray

Sounds easier right?

Well here's the difference.

P1 gets you aone year visa and WP but it isn't really available right now via agents. Only an international school or big companies can have access to that and you know who they'll get in first.

P2 is a 3 months visa without a work permit.. The advantage?
1) You get to come in first.
2) Yes you can get part time jobs but to get full time job, you'll need a WP
3) In the course of the three months, if you get a full time job, then your employer can help you with a longer visa and WP
4) So yes you can extend or change once you're here
5) You can even decide to extend immediately you come in whether you get a job or not. It all depends on you.

My advice?

Even though right now, P1 is not available, still go ahead and authentic your documents and get the other documents needed. It's going to help when it's time to extend your visa.

And yes P2 is a good option now .

For those who have been getting ready and waiting to come in, I'll say try to come in by February March because it's the start of a new semester and also, lots of people travelled back to their country . The job market is still huge so chop chop and all the best

As you know that getting employment from here is an herculean task. Ma'am, what is the reason to the change of law or has it been like that right from the beginning?
The VT government are being unfair cus teachers will be at the mercy of schools. Especially schools that love cheating teachers. They might not want to pay well cus they are providing WP for the teacher.
I heard there's the new Covid strain in VT now, pls be safe for us.
I hope that doesn't affect those planning to come in soon.

@Chiggsglover, What can you say about religion in Ireland? Since Dublin is almost a multicultural city, there should be lots of people with different religions there. I practice Islam, have you come by any mosque? Tho, I don't really practice religion like that. I'm just asking in case of change of heart

I don't want to discourage anyone trying to improve their life, but Asia is not a land of opportunity.

Statements like "we don't hire unless you're physically here" are suspect.

You must also understand that Asians seek out whites (even non-native speakers with an accent) to teach English. They often don't care about qualifications and will fabricate them. In those cases, a person can get a job just by going there. I cannot say the same for Nigerians.

Many parents will want to see a white face teaching because they're not intelligent enough to understand qualified teachers can be any race, including their own people. Many schools, for example, will not hire Asian Americans. Some parents also sign up their children for English instruction in the same way they send them for piano lessons. They don't care whether they learn English, they simply want to say the child is receiving the training, and they also want to say a white foreigner is providing it.

You also have to understand that these people (even the educated) are extremely ignorant. This means that they often aren't intelligent enough to even understand/accept you're no different from any other qualified candidate. They may even think you're another race because you're educated. That's how stupid they are.

I believe everything you wrote up there is based on assumption, because I've been on different sites and met lots of NNES online who shared their experiences teaching in Asian countries and how they are having edges above NES without degrees.

You might be right to some extent based on the discrimination against POC, but not all schools rejects POC. Some are specific about what they want. I noticed that most of them only search for POC when they are in need of cheap labour. Nevertheless, it's still better than being underpaid in your OWN country and it's a respected profession over there. I'll take whatever I can and leave them to their glorification of anything white.

Like the saying goes, ‘it is not always greener on the other side', But we gats go there to check by ourselves. I trust the Nigerian blood, I'm sure we will make something out of the scraps.(if truly it's bad on the other side)

The reviews are so bad to the extent that I got scared for Non EU students there. The school is not recognised to some extent, and it's a private university, so they don't really rate them.

University of Limerick offers business analytics. Same as Maynooth university

thanks very much, my first problem is getting the original waec and bsc. I asked my classmates about the waec but no response yet, for the bsc, I was told it usually comes out after 4 yrs of graduation. How did u do yours please

For the WAEC result, if you stay in Lagos, go to the headquarter at Yaba.

Schools defer, mine gives your certificate after 2years

hello boss, are you already processing your movement? what were the steps you took please? I want to follow suit. I just finished nysc but I don't have my original waec (2012) and original bsc (2018) as the OP stated as the criteria in the first page, i was told it takes for the original certificates to be out.

Just seeing this. I'm sorry for the late response, chief.

Get a TEFL/CELTA certificate first, then get the original WAEC and BSc certificate before heading to Abuja to Legalise them.

The biggest hurdle to cross here is getting a trusted visa agent in Vietnam when they deem it fit to open their borders.
If you have some mulla, you can get a company to bring you over.

PS: you'll be quarantined for 14 days, which you'll be paying for.

Well, there are actually. DBS has a program in Information Systems, but you need to have an UG degree in IT or IS. However, I do not really know if that would rule you out, maybe @ICasNg can answer that.

On the other hand, schools like UCC and NUIG have courses related to Information Management in their business schools, and do not require prior knowledge of IT, but they are quite expensive (tuition). They are conversion programs.

Maybe, BA would be a better option for you as it's done in quite a number of business schools in Ireland. At the end of the day, the best decision still boils down to you. What do you want for yourself, and what best suits you.

Maybe I should just take up some online basic analytics courses prior to when I'll be coming. Thanks for your response boss

Most places are locked up and few jobs that are available needs someone to work full-time.
