Chukazu: am tribal by seeking what fair and just. but you are patriotic when one region (possible your region) dominate others..?that is one mind set that won't take us anywhere. talking about alliance, an IBo man spearheaded the formation of PDP, which yoruba man used to become president for eight years, what did we gain in return
after the death MKO,abiola -OPC members terrorized everybody in South West, an we didn't call them tribal and crying foul. at the end the south west go the presidency, and they kept quiet. now the same south west has the vice presidency
we need to restructure Nigeria so no one is marginalized, the only way is implementing the report of sovereign national conference. and that is what we asking for.
power must be shared across the region and forget about alliance. rotational presidency is the only solution, because every state in Nigeria can produce the presidency so why should a whole region be perpetually kept out of the equation? Please learn to speak less of things which you know little or nothing of. My tribe is Esan, have you heard any esan man clamor for self governance? |

DerideGull: I simply cannot deduce how agitation for self-determination and independent homeland can be construed as act of disgruntled south easterners to cause trouble by a person with average intellect. With streams of thoughts like the one expressed in above post, does it matter anymore to ask why Nigeria is perpetually backward? It will do you well you keep mute Mr. If you can't deduce the embolden. Then you're as blind as a bat!. |

centje: There's no generalisation in his post. Desire for freedom is still within the people, is not a generalisation, he never said all igbos, or all houses in igboland. The bases of his point was on hoisting of Biafran flag, and he clearly stated they were been done by some houses.
I see a lot of these flags, especially in Imo, Anambra and Abia, this thing indicate strong believe in a cause. US citizens hoist their flags in their homes. How many Nigerians hoist Nigerian flags in their house? Even air freshener used for cars are, mostly, designed in USA flag
Patriotism has gone in this country, we are just living in denial, "unity of Nigeria is non-negotiable" let's keep deceiving ourselves.
Tomorrow, it might be from another tribe. But how come every tomorrow you still see the same easterners shout the same thing? The embolden is why I said its a generalization? Which people desire freedom? How do you know they desire freedom? Can you read minds? Just because some people hoist Biafra flag doesn't mean everybody hoist Biafra flag. U.S citizens hoist their flag... I ask, is it all U.S citizens that hoist the Stars and Stripes? |

Tolexander: Make dem free the poor boy jare, the innocuous boy is just only seeking attention! Be that as it may, some of his kith and kin are so fueled with tribalism that they believe their mantra of Biafra. I mean, come to think of it, I'm Esan by tribe, have Nigeria ever produced any Esan man as president? What is the locus for this major tribe and minority tribe? Who even made it? Have you ever seen or hear any of the minority tribe complain about marginalization the way some easterners do? I mean, na only dem dey this country sef!!!. Its grossly annoying!. I guess the Esan, the bini, the gwaris, the Zurus and every other minor tribe should all come out and scream for secession, let's see if this country will be able to contain all of us. |

highmood: in as much as I am indifferent to the course and struggle for freedom, but I must tell you the agitation has been on since the regime of Goodluck Jonathan especially in Europe. And if you have traveled round the southeast years back, you will notice Biafran flags been flown in some houses; this shows that the desire for freedom is still alive within the people. Biafran flags being flown in some houses doesn't translate to it being flown in every house. Don't generalize please. The desire for whatever freedom they seek is only the figment of some peoples imagination. |

Chukazu: you call our agitation for fairness and equity ridiculous? why we launched it now? housa men ruled for more than 30 yrs, yoruba for eight years, ijaw for only six years;and now housa and yoruba for another four years and IBo nothing?things don't work that way man. From what you say, your agitation for fairness and equity is riddled with tribalism and ethnic sentiment. This is a 'democracy'. Elections were held weren't they? So did the Hausa and Yoruba man impose their self on you? No! They simply formed an alliance, that's something very common in politics. So why are you crying now. If I were you, rather than cry and rant I'll start mapping out my strategy of how I'm going to contest election 2019 and win, not ferment trouble and deceive yourself. If you want to be part of something or own a stake in something, start forming alliance. Plain and simple. |

sinistermind: My brother i guess you haven't being following the news.... was it after the elections that MASSOB was established? this has being going on for a while and the expiry of the amalgamation was an opportunity to publicize it more. i am not a fan of the whole Biafra movement, but saying it is a scheme by some disgruntled politicians is wrong... when you go deep south, you will understand the reason why the Igbos are screaming marginalization. MASSOB went docile during the last administration, hope you remember. And which far part of the east are you talking about? I've been to almost all the eastern states apart from Ebonyi. So kindly tell me how the far part of some eastern states are? |

Yes I have to concur with the professor emeritus. I cringe with fear when I think how this country would have been if GEJ had won the March elections. The impunity was becoming too much to bear.
The manner at which our common wealth was being looted knows no bounds. Everybody was a god in his or her own right, hence, we saw just how people misbehave because they know someone in power. Even Bode George was reputed with saying Jonathan will soon pardon him just like he did Alameiyesegha. I'm sure Alameiyesegha is enjoying his pardon any where he is. |
