PoliticsShouln't GEJ Be Ridiculed The Way 'my Oga @ The Top' Was Ridiculed? by joseph1832(op): 12:12am On Mar 17, 2013
It is no news that even a 12 year old now know the 'my oga @ the top' diatribe, because of the way many Nigerians reacted when he embarass himself and the organization he works for on tv.

We have all seem to forget that another man has also made more than enough blunders, ever since he became the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Infact his blunders have now turn to a soap opera where every once in a while, he trends on social media.

He started with over celebrating Nigeria's 52nd birthday, when there's actually nothing worth celebrating! He removed fuel subsidy, the only thing Nigerians benefit from the government, he told us the boko haram menace will fizzle out when innocent Nigerians are being murdered in cold blood, he changed the name University Of Lagos (Unilag) to Moshood Abiola University (Maulag) tarnishing their reputation of forty something years of swag untainted, he appointed a man who's panache for corruption stands e pluribus unum as chairman NPA, he granted pardon to a man who doesn't deserve pardon, he refuses to declare his assets, and just like 'my oga at the top' he has also embarassed himself on tv....

mekzone: I sincerely empathize with Mr. Shem for the cruel way he has been excessively mocked and caricatured in the Nigerian social media space.

Given, his performance at the interview was way below expectation and should warrant some form of sanction.....however I have never known Nigerian government agencies to employ ivy league quality personnel and frankly many with such quality would rather not work in the civil service....for obvious reasons.

Shem is a product of our shabby public education system (destroyed by years of military rule) and is no different from many of the individuals that have mocked him incessantly and cruelly in the social media.

Many of these pinging, mohawk sporting and sagged jeans wearing youth are just as uninformed about contemporary matters....I wish they showed the same zeal in flaying The Presidency's controversial state pardons last week as they have with this 'oga at the top' craze.

Sometimes I fear we are cursed with a shallow generation that think being able to 'ping' , 'tweet' or post on You Tube makes them more educated than Shem is.
Many if us here in Nairaland and also Nigeria, far and wide are products of the "shabby educational system" but we are no way in the same league with Mr "oga @ the top". He's a mockery of the NSCDC.

I for one believe that the ability for one to be mediocre or excellent in whatever field he or she desires resides in that individual!.

I've often said it that we always allow sentiments to cloud or sense of reasoning and judgement. Our "shabby educational system" has produced top notch graduates and at the same time substandard graduate.

Like I said before, the ability of fail or excel resides in ones hands! We shouldn't use flimsy excuses to try and defend ourselves. Period!

For starters I don't think I can ever be in that guys situation, with the position he occupy he was suppose to have been brief about the kind of question he would be asked by his sub ordinates.

The interview shows that the guy is 100% mediocre, there are lots of Nigerians out there looking for jobs who are more than 100% more qualify than that mediocre, this trend has always been Nigeria's anathema, where mediocre occupy sensitive positions...

We shouldn't allow sentiment to cloud our sense of reasoning! That guy deserved to be sacked! Q.E.D.

Magnificent rhetoric... All words, no action... and like we all know "action speaks louder than words" GEJ just prove that he's more corrupt than his predesessors.

Who says you can't fight and win against government? didnt the United States fight against colonialism and win? Egypt and other countries follow suit, so its just a matter of time, all elements of mediocrity will soon fail.

Sincere 9gerian: Nlanders know those spreading lies and deceit, just to score cheap political points. You'r one of them and your comments are irrelevent, baseless and inconsequential.
Its obvious we have another Doyin Okupe and Rueben Abati here on Nairaland.

Tell me, just how much is GEJ and PDP paying you? Money has blended you from seeing the blatant truth! You say my comments are irrelevant, baseless and inconsequential, well I wish I could say the same for the people you represent, people who are s'pose to be accountable for their deeds and actions, but apparently don't give a bleep about "anyone".

Okupe's reply sheds more light to the kind of person he and his boss are! Saying GEJ don't owe "anyone" an apology, I believe he completely forgot that those same "anyone" voted his boss into office.

I've observed that sincere 9gerian is just the carbon copy of GEJ and his cohorts.

Only a stupid man makes a mistake and refuses to admit his mistake for fear of being called stupid!

Sincere 9gerian: Your opinion. But unfortunately, its irrelevant.
Once upon a time, Karl Marx's opinion was irrelevant, but today...

My dear sincere 9gerian one day, corruption and mediocrity will be wiped out of this country.
PoliticsRe: Haters Attempting A Comeback!! by joseph1832(m): 8:39am On Mar 14, 2013
Just how many sticks of dynamite must one need to make this man called Sincere 9gerian think!?.

Come to think of it Sincere 9gerian, just how sincere are you? The man you so believe in and defending has proved to be nothing more than the epitome of corruption.

You posted this thread to discredit haters on nairaland, but you have discredited yourself. From the way you argue I've come to believe you possess some measure of intelligence but the words that spew out of your vocal cavity makes me wonder if your sane.

Please your GEJ is nothing more than a corrupt scallywag!!!.
PoliticsRe: Presidential Pardon "Laughable And Tribalistic"- CPC by joseph1832(m): 11:17pm On Mar 13, 2013
First in GEJ bid to prove to the whole world that he's fighting corruption, he refused to declare his asset.

Secondly, He gave national honours to individuals who lack integrity.

Thirdly, He appointed a man who's so much immense in corruption as chairman Nigeria Ports Authority.

Now has pardon a convicted criminal, one whose crimes brought national shame to Nigeria.

What more will GEJ do for Nigerians to know that he doesn't give a rats ass about them! And that he's the true symbol of corruption!

Judge a man by his actions and by far what cometh out of his mouth! It is rather obvious that this junai Mohammad of a man is a depraved scallywag! I would like to even ask him how were the northerners cheated that warranted them to take up arms not only against the FG but also christians? The Fool even mentioned Niger Delta Militants, I'll also ask him if the niger delta militants bombed muslims?

As for Anthony Sani, perhaps I should exterminate every member of his immediate and extended family and tell him to invite me for talks? I would really love to know how he'll feel!?

I find it unphantomable that the baseless sentiments exposed by majority of these northerners reflects their total lack of brains!

Just how dumd and stupid can these people be? God help us from people like these...

ahmedyacoob: Dead Seriousness News: Pope Benedict XVI Resigns Papacy, Converts To Islam

HOLY SEE – In a shocking press conference Sunday, Pope Benedict XVI revealed to the world that he will be stepping down from the Catholic Church’s highest office. “Through prayer and reflection over the past years,” the world’s holiest man began, “I’ve realized that Allah is the one true God.”
Amid clattering camera shutters and roaring reporters, Pope Benedict patiently answered questions, citing traditional Muslim folklore as well as passages from the Qur’an to explain his decision. His session was interrupted only once, when he swiveled South-East to face Mecca, stooped to the ground, and recited the Asr, one of the five daily prayers central to Muslim belief.
The startling reversal comes as a shock to many familiar with the Pope’s policies on Islam. “Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached,” the Bishop of the Vatican famously said of Islam in his 2006 lecture Faith, Reason and the University—Memories and Reflections.
When asked about the quote, Pope Benedict sighed with good-humored remorse and chuckled quietly to himself: “Yeah I’ve regretted that for some time. But I was young and naïve… I see things much clearer now. Besides, I’ve always kinda liked the thought of having a sword. The Cardinals were a real pain on that one.”
When asked whether he would be reverting to his born name, Pope Benedict enthusiastically interjected. “I’ve decided to change my name to Sajjad Sayyid Ratzinger,” His Ex-Holiness explained. “I’m keeping my surname purely for logistical reasons, so my Facebook friends and Twitter followers won’t be confused.”
His transition hasn’t been without opposition. Hours after the press conference, a special Fox and Friends segment aired on FOXNEWS, featuring a picture of the Pope photoshopped to include stereotypical Islāmic features, including: a turban in place of his mitre, darkened complexion, black hair, and Arabic letters spelling out an endorsement of Barack Hussein Obama tattooed across his chest. Beneath the picture, the panel discussed the possible involvement of Pope Benedict XVI, 85, in 9/11. The segment’s title, “The Holy Heathen,” emblazoned the lower left corner of the screen.
This morning, newspapers nationwide featured an editorial by Bill O’Reilly detailing the parallels between the Pope’s “betrayal of God-loving Christians everywhere” with the “betrayal of the American people and the Constitution by Benedict Arnold, his liberal agenda, and his radical left-wing entourage.”

Goshen360: Meaning you've stepped forward to answer my question(s) right? Good! Here is it but let me warn you ahead, religious people might be offended if you truly answer according to what is said o. Here's the text question:

New Living Translation (©2007)
Then Jesus called to the crowd to come and hear. "Listen," he said, "and try to understand. It's not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth." Then the disciples came to him and asked, "Do you realize you offended the Pharisees by what you just said?" Matthew 15:10-12

Question:
Will Wine or Alcohol be also part of what GOES INTO YOUR MOUTH and yet you are NOT considered defiled or uncleaned huh
You already answered the question yourself! Who now a days listen to what the Gospel says?, rather they listen to the interpretations of their Pastors and call it the gospel!
