CAMEROONPRIDE: like really? God gave you the possibility to think and finish his works , are all the songs you sing at church in the bible? vices and virtues are they also in the 10 commandments? fam maybe Sunday is your lazy day but going to church is mandatory, but guess what failure to do so won't cause any backlash that's where you guys are lucky the christian community is enough peaceful and open minded to not condemn those who don't go to church.
Going to church is mandatory? Dude who told you so? Where in the bible did it say that? I want to believe that your not a fanatic? Cos your utterances is pointing to that direction! Like I give a rats ass what the christian community thinks or don't think. Tsk.

danny301: "Saint Joseph" So what's ur point?.... That churches should be closed down or people should stop going to church?..... Why don't you concentrate on improving your life and leave church alone?
Am not a saint my good man! Am a sinner like you and my point is "going to chirch doesn't guarantee one a ticket to heaven"

Yomieluv: is that enough reason to stop church? So because people die from accident is enough for you not to buy a car? Spare me that tales.
Which tales my good man? Did I mention here that one should stop church? Stop insinuating my friend!

pinkrex: . The ten commandments is judaism. Offludaism is the religion Jesus came to preach.. Its hugely pillared on 'fulfilment of the law of Moses' and an exchange of the new law which is 'love'. That's what Jesus preaches! The conscience men possess is now 'the law'.
And what's the conscience of men my good man?

Yomieluv: Where two or more are gathered,am in their midst, says the Lord.
This shows the importance of worshiping among brethens, where lost souls, and backsliders can be revived.

Do not forsake the gathering of the righteous.
Righteous? Who's righteous in todays church? A place that has turned into the gathering of rogues, homosexuals, murderers, prostitute etc! Please the church today is far from righteous!
Christianity EtcRe: Is Church Attendance Compulsory? by joseph1832(m): 8:12am On Jan 06, 2013
Joagbaje: Interesting story. Every serious christian ought to know the necessity of church attendance.its not an option. Any contrary opinion is of the flesh

Hebrews 10:25
Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.

It's biblical to attend church services . The early church met regularly on Sundays and daily in private homes

1 Corinthians 11:18
For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that . . .

Any voice contrary to this is a voice of rebellion against the word of God. Find a church and submit yourself to the spiritual authority there.
Was this part of God's commandments? Going to church? Because I didn't see it in the ten commandments!
I actually liked the story. It was nice and cosy. smiley

The truth however is church these days is just another place for disillusionment and mass scamming. The enterprising of churches is scary. All manner of church related businesses operate outside the church and members put pressure on you to spend.

It might just be better to stay alone in that field.
Couldn't agree more, later some christian bigot would come here and say "bible says thou shall not forsake the gathering of the brethren" tsk.

Believe me when I tell you that most Northerners believe the little positive image Nigeria has abroad, they are the reason for it, Most especially the Muslims there.

So I ask, what has the North contributed to the image of Nigeria abroad? The south have people of international repute such as Osita Osadebe, Rex Lawson, King Sunny Ade, Onyeka Onwenu, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe, Chimamanda Adichie, Ola Rotimi, Cyprain Ekwensi, Emeka Anyankwu, Hakeem Olajunwon, etc.

I would love to know what positive image the North has added to Nigeria (home and abroad). Your contributions will be highly valued!.

CFCfan: The 2015 elections are still 2 years away, therefore Senator Oluremi Tinubu has 2 more years to make significant strides in the Senate.

#OluremiTinubu2015.
The senator has not made any significant strides since she's a senator is it now she wants to see the light!

Please I don't want to believe that your pro ACN and an advocate of Tinubu and his corrupt cohorts...
PoliticsRe: Oluremi Tinubu For Governor (Lagos State) by joseph1832(m): 10:38am On Jan 04, 2013
CFCfan: After some self abnegation and immolation, I have come to the conclusion that Senator Oluremi Tinubu is the best person to occupy the Lagos state Governor's seat, come May 29, 2015.

Though she hasn't made significant contributions to Senate debates, her poise, charm, charity causes and her excellent political skills makes her frontrunner in d race to succeed the indefatigable Governor Fashola.

If she eventually decides to run for the office, be rest assured that She would become the first elected female governor in Nigeria. She would definitely continue from where Fashola stopped, ramping up the efforts to turn Lagos into the economic capital of Africa. The ACN machine is still a colossus in Lagos, nay the Southwest.
You said it yourself, "Though she hasn't made significant contributions to Senate debates" so how can someone who hasn't made anything signiicant impact in a sitting of a hundred plus people impact on the lives of almost 15million people?.

Believe me she is the least qualified! Your points are based on pure sentiments...

Guk: @lastpope, what exactly do you want?? A Line item that reads SURE-P Lagos State usage??

You say there is no information?? You say you follow government religiously to see what is going on?? All you have just done on a forum of 100s of thousands in to LIE. I say you have lied because, a govt has provided you with verifiable facts about how much they collected from you; me; FG; Loans; Grants and other sources. They have given you hard verifiable facts on how they have spent the money; compared it to other years.

Please, lets give honour to whom honour is due! If an organisation provides you with this much of info here http://www.lagosstate.gov.ng/subpage.php?k=35 that contains 106 pages of easily readable facts and figures and you can still come here and be rubbishing the records without reading them, when you should learn from this accountability and transperency and practice
it in your own life?? Please, please, please, this is not a peppersoup joint discussion. Read those documents and be educated.

After you have read them, come back to me and them lets take LASG up on each item we feel aggrieved on angry
Couldn't have said it better Mr Guk! I mean for someone who says he follows everybit of information religious. He sure is desplaying some minute level of myopicness!
PoliticsRe: What Is Lagos Doing With Its Subsidy Removal Fund? by joseph1832(m): 12:39pm On Jan 03, 2013
thelastPope: I am am sorry, @Guk did absolutely nothing. He posted links to the state governments website. I have followed the link and there is no information there that answers the @op's question. There is actually nothing there, just the budget and numerous information on Lagos state statistics, prices of items, etc that aint so useful except to organisations that do business with government. There is no info there of what LASG did with the subsidy money. You have to understand that some of us dont just throw jibes. We follow information and we follow the government religiously to see what is going on.
Guk already told you what the money was used for! He said "it was added to the monthly allocation LASG receives" which was in turn use to carry out projects whether on going or out going I don't know! That's what the websites for! At least you saw what LASG's doing via the web site.

PoliticsRe: What Is Lagos Doing With Its Subsidy Removal Fund? by joseph1832(m): 12:13pm On Jan 03, 2013
thelastPope: It is amazing that every question asked of Fashola is answered with a jibe at GEJ. Is this a problem of bad education or just criminal tribal and political allegiance? Is this another hard proof of the fact that ACN are the ones that actually run a paid laptop crew on NL?

They still cannot answer all the numerous questions asked of Fashola, It is such a shame. the implication of this is that we have no opposition in Nigeria. This is a very big problem I must say. A very serious one at that. I think a situation where we have no viable opposition is not good for the country. So to see the so called opposition more corrupt that the ruling party is alarming. May God help us.

@op, the truth is, all you will get are diversionary jibes, insults and foolish talk. SMH!
I believe @Guk answered the poster's question succintly, however the poster is also noted for diverting questions when he's also asked questions when he can't divert or dribble his way, he starts with rhetorics, blah blah blah.

@Guk nice job, from my point of view I would have given the poster a taste of his own medicine.

I can wake up in the morning and ask you what you did with the N1 million I gave you last night. Won't you want me to proof I actually gave you that money? How is that shifting goal posts?
Abi oh my broda! All this pdp nairaland thugs wey their own na to project pdp even wen pdp dey Bleep dem up dem go still dey yan! Abegi! I believe say people like sincere 9gerian still dey buy petrol for N65. And the roads wey him dey use the tarred well well!

Sincere 9gerian: You'r very correct! Why cant these ACN goons and Fashola lovers provide answers to simple questions? If we demand accountability from the FG, shouldn't we also demand even more accountability from states and local govt which are closer to you and I? Is the demand for accountability by ACN goons and Fashola lovers at the federal HYPOCRITICAL? Is it all about scoring cheap political points? Can you imagine that the thread is already on the 2nd page but still no attempt has been made to provide answers? I even thought what the state was receiving was N300million, I didn't know it was about N500million monthly or 1billion every 2months. This EXTRA, UNEXPECTED and 'AWOF' funds are enough to drive the Lagos metro rail project to very quick completion. What about even starting the 4th mainland bridge with it?
All some mischief makers do these days is attack, attack and attack the FG but the states(their states and local govts) are left to do whatever they like. I learnt recently that Borno state govt receives as much as N106billion annually from federation account but the governor cannot even use 2 or 5% of that amount to mobilize the people of Borno to resist Boko haram thru formating of neighbourhood watches, etc. This was the complaints of the JTF only a few days ago. All the mischief makers want is for Mr president to single handedly flush out boko haram but what are the state governors doing about boko haram?
Back to the issue at hand, what is Fashola doing with Lagos state share of funds saved from subsidy removal?
It is only in Nigeria you find a project un going, yet it is termed a success, it is only in Nigeria that money will be approved for a project, yet it is termed a suCcess, it is only in Nigeria that a man will say he wants to wipe out corruption yet they say he's fighting corruption, it is only in Nigeria that people still use tribalism and religious sentiment to vote a man into office.

Mr sincere 9gerian In a situation where you have many devils and you are asked you chose one, you chose the lesser devi
