Please give me an honest review of the quality of tie Msc IT at NOUN.....Did you really learn anything rewarding, how is the quality of the curriculum and the lecturers or it is just the normal theory work of Nigerian university ? I want to start the program and I need your advice.

In my opinion the courses were easy. I've spent some years now in the field and I find that I have to keep studying to keep up with the times. IT changes very fast.

The curriculum of most schools don't change as fast as the industry. That's what I see looking at the past questions.

Why LIE that it is FREE? Are you not demanding N1000 on you website?

Lol. You're responding to a 2015 advert. I gave away questions for free in 2015. I still have the free pack anyway if you want it.

Meanwhile, I should probably do some updates and specify more clearly how people can get the free pack. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

How much would you say you've spent for the program from beginning to end, probably a rough estimate, excluding internet data

I probably spent roughly 240k for the program: semester fees, books, exams, course registrations, final project, graduation fees.

You may exceed that. I don't know what the fees are like now.

Sigma Remit is a payment service that allows importers and organizations make payments to their Chinese counterparts in Chinese Yuan Renmimbi (CNY or RMB).

How does it work?

This service allows the Nigerian importer make payments for invoices in RMB. The importer pays us in naira while we make payment to the Chinese supplier in RMB.

How long does remittance take?

Once we have received your payment, please allow for 0-4hours to complete payment.

What information do I need to provide you?

Beneficiary account number
Beneficiary name
Beneficiary bank
Sender name

Do I need to identify myself?

Yes. We have a KYC policy to know the identity of our clients and the source of their funds. We would need to ensure that we are dealing with legitimate businesses with verifiable sources of income.

At the barest minimum, we will request for your bio data and means of identification for individuals. For companies, we will also require a copy of your certificate of incorporation, in addition to identification documents of any major directors and/or bank signatories.

What bank account can I pay from?

Please pay from an account with the same name as that on your ID or Certificate of Incorporation.

Okay. I want to do business. How do I contact you?

You can contact us via phone at 0706 326 6278.
You can click on the phone number to chat via whatsapp, which is what we prefer.

You can also visit our website on www.sigma.com.ng/sigma-remit

how long did it take??don't have any idea wat the cost of doing a PGD in IT? Is registration still on?

I finished all my MSc courses in a year.

It was my project that took a while for me to finish because I got a job and changed cities so it was difficult to focus. I'm done though.

Looking for a PhD program now ...

Please were you given statement of result before certificate was issued?

I didn't ask for it. It's now that I want to apply for a PhD that I even need it.

I heard it has to be done online or so. I went to the former HQ in V/I and they said i should pay online first.

I haven't gone ahead yet as I was distracted by work.

Destroyer 2: The Lecturers

Lecturers! Lecturers!! Lecturers!!! Where do I start? If I was to grade the problems, these people would be gracing number 1 on the list. Most Nigerian lecturers are lazy piece of…(Please pick offense for all I care). They’re so lazy that the handouts most of them use to teach their students in 2016 were written in 1956. They do not carry out researches, they do not refresh their knowledge, and most of all, and they are allergic to correction. They hate bright students and prefer to teach dummies. They make sure you do not think outside the box for their words are ‘Yea and Amen’. Dare challenge a lecturer in a Nigerian university and you would keep writing that course till Jesus comes. They want exactly what they said in class word for word and leave no room for new ideas and exploration.

Then they transferred their laziness to the students. ‘You cannot read and cannot afford to fail? Pay me some money.’ They wear the typical Nigerian robe of corruption. Worse still, the ones with the extra spice of stupidity trade sex with their students for better grades. Some even fail you on purpose so that they can make you trade sex. How low they stoop! Sorting is simply lecturers way of saying ‘You can use what you have to get what you want because the brain in your head is but another part of the body whose function is probably exaggerated.’ Lecturers especially in northern Nigeria (now I must say no offense) have the ‘let my people go attitude’ where they let you go to the next level and the next level and the next level… without caring if you actually learned anything. Here they teach you in your preferred language (after all English is the white man’s language and not your mother tongue

Yep. Many lecturers cause serious damage in the system. Imagine some of them taking it as a huge achievement when they give someone an F

If half of the class fails a course, it's a failure of the lecturer to transmit knowledge. Simple! undecided

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Please Help Advice My Immediate Junior Sister by Jovie: 6:20pm On Mar 10, 2016
wunmi590:
Goodday house, please I want an advice concerning my precious sister.

Around december, my sister was unjustly sacked for what she know nothing about, she was accused of leaking some of the company's secret, she was not paid that december, though she started that december and she worked for the full month before she was sacked.

So today she was called by that same boss, that she was very sorry, that they have finally found the root of the matter and the person in question have been sacked, and told my sister to come back and work for them back and she will be paid two times of what she's being paid in her current work place, so she called me this night about it, to give her advice if she should go back or stay in her new place of work.

Though the two companies are very close to house. The company she's working with now have been a huge help to her, before she went for her OND, that was where she was working, even when she's on holiday during her studies they still create her space and employ her back with the little weeks she has to spend at home, but now she through with her studies, planning for her direct entry this year. (The company she works for now is a cooperative organization).

She just want to do it for some month before she goes back to continue her education.

Please your advice is needed, if to stay back where she is now or go back to the former.

She should gently gather all the information surrounding the situation and use what she gathers to build solid evidence to sue the former company for wrongful termination and defamation and ask for damages of N10m.
