who woke this internet Lazarus from the dead?

Events have overtaken you, my boy. When this issue was being delt with, you were loitering around looking for internet subscription money.

How else would you explain taking this long to respond? Maybe my statements had you enrolling in a crash course in political history.

And don't you ever recycle old posts to me again. Sawdust brain.

You better adjust to being exposed and swept aside when you present emotional wishes as fact.

You also lack spontaneity and quick improvisation to carry on a free flowing internet debate. You really are slow upstairs.

You are disqualified.
Internet Jesus attend to the issues name calling will not save you this time;

Your attempt at replying my post reeks of desperation. Let me quickly add that this scope of international politics is beyond your league. You aren't sound enough so it takes you up to a week to try to level with me by employing half-baked facts backed by little international awarness.
Please international politics isn't your forte.
As someone who knows a lot, I guess this is a promise that you wish to solemnly give us facts and nothing but facts so help you God!!

During the ivory coast presidential issues, ecowas had already asked gbabo to step down and blacklisted his government from ecowas. Military intervention was being discussed on the table.
Southafrica rushed into prove a point out of a desperate need to belong. It's the same way that pathetic country was meddling in Israeli Palestinian issues until she was told to go and play with the likes of Burundi.
ECOWAS actually begged UN security council to sanction Ivory coast, I have that on good authority, any reasonable country will see it as a sign of weakness on a regional power broker, what I don't know is the fallacy in bold, can you prove to this honorable house that ECOWAS blacklisted Ivory coast in 2011? Let me remind you that you claim to know too much as such, to get the evidence won't be a problem, please do not tactically maneuver out of this for any reason whatsoever, it is either you are proving or you are shutting up completely.
I will neither read nor respond to any other gibberish that doesn't have the proof i asked for.

Nigeria wasn't sleeping over the Libyan crisis. I weep for your pathetic sense. You rush to play Mr. Know it all, to teach us what you yourself have not finished understanding. Even a Pharisee has got a better tact than you.
Ghadafi as one of the oldest and wealthiest African leaders has asked for the au to morph into a single country with him as president.
His expantionist agenda is what Nigeria had always kicked against.
Nigeria said they are not interested in a United states of Africa likewise Most successful economies in Africa at the time, SA, Morocco, Egypt Kenya etc, Nigeria never posed a threat to his plan in any visible way, why did Ghadaffi not propose the break up of Egypt, SA, Kenya, morocco and other uninterested African nations?

The USA equally made same prediction, is Ghaddafi the president of the US? instead of fixing culpability where it belongs, you are deluding yourself, have you bothered to find out why two nations with superior intelligence gathering capabilities gave Nigeria a tough verdict?

Nigeria wasn't the only country that rejected Ghaddafi's plan there were other countries, so why was Nigeria the only bulls eye? based on the above facts, Ghadafi's unfortunate prediction had nothing to do with his failed plan, only a beer parlor political analyst will make such naive connection.

To be fair if you believe that Ghaddafi proposed the break up of Nigeria because we refused United states of Africa, table your proof here, you saw how I proved mine, prove yours that same way, keep it concise and brief, any strenuous analogies and unverifiable claims will NOT be read.

I never said Nigeria was meditating in the Libyan crisis. I emphasized that Nigeria officially recognised the tnc, while south Africa was barking ay NATO. Stick to facts not cheap blackmail.
Naa, it was an oversight not a blackmail, you are no where near people I may be tempted to blackmail.

Nigeria had been a power broker in Africa since her independence. Intact it was only in GEJ regime we started looking inwards.
From the 60's Nigeria had sent professionals to southern African countries as judges, teachers doctors etc.
That you exported your professionals because the institutions in your country has collapsed, does it mean you are a power broker?
Majority of our doctors who left for Saudi Arabia in the 80's went to make money because they were earning less in Nigeria nothing more, can you in clear conscience assume that Nigeria is a lord over Saudi Arabia because our doctors took refuge there??

I expect an answer here too.

South Africa isn't the brainchild of AU. It was was ghadafi. YOU ARE AN EMBARRASSMENT.
OAU was formed in 1963 by haile selassie, nkuruma. Letter is was changed to the AU in 1999 just 5years after southafrica got her apartheid cleared into representative governmment. AU is ghadafi's brainchild not southafrica. You eat alot of kpoph-kpoph which has not only killed your sense of shame and patriotism but has made you a desperate fugitive looking for cheap fame by bashing his country in front of her very rivals internationally.
Who was the first chairperson of the AU? one single answer of a name and probably date, any other strenuous crap will not be read.

Bakassi was settled legally by the international court. Nigeria led by example and didn't use her might to swallow Cameroon. You said Chad is liberating Nigerian towns. Well Chad liberated 3 Nigerian town in their own border while Nigerian liberated 43 town in 2 weeks in an erea the size of Belgium.
Nigeria had no intention of handing over Bakassi even after the ICJ verdict, here is my proof;
According to obasanjo's book titled "Presidential legacy" published in 2013 and reviewed by Donald duke whose land was taken had this to say;

“The French President made it clear to us that it has put on alert its military and showed us the entire position of our military and exactly where we were and our daily movements."
http://nationalmirroronline.net/new/bakassi-france-would-have-levelled-nigeria-duke/
Now, you see how i put forward facts to disprove your diplomatic concoction on why we obeyed the ICJ order, we obeyed because a superior fire power who finds it morally right to honor the defence pact she has with cameroon by putting a gun to our head.
After this clear act of cowardice and chicken heart, who does Nigeria have a defence pact with at the time? is that how you want to be a "regional power broker"? Power broker that ordinary Cameroon can muscle away anytime? self delusion is not a crime though, enjoy your buffoonery.

Any time you are not ready to articulate facts the way i am doing it, I will not read it, the proof above is evident that you don't follow the news, after work, you sit with iya basare to take ogogoro and discuss kitchen politics, now tell me, who is an Embarassment?

Also you said Nigeria isn't a threat to Libya, you need to stay away from google and get real education. Libya can't challenge any African country in the north which comprised fellow Arabic countries, so she looked into west Africa and Chad her immediate neighbour came into play, so she attacked and tried to annex Chad. Now Chad is in the lake Chad basin coperstion with Nigeria as well as an ECOWAS country which Nigeria oversees. So how could we not be a threat?
From what you explained though you are too lazy or bereft of any fact to support your claim, I can only deduce that Nigeria was a softer target, a walk in the park rightly put, I don't know the date of the Chadian invasion by Libya, never mind that you are too drunk not to present that, however, if I had the information, I would ascertain their military capabilities by credible ranking, that way, we will know who is really a threat to the other, in the absence of that, both of us are merely speculating and I don't engage in such unintelligent theatrics.

Let me educate you right now, France is uncomfortable with Nigeria's hegemony in west Africa and is on all cylinders to bring division between the aglofone and francofone countries. But you wouldn't know.
Please dont give us half baked education gotten from Oshogbo roofless classrooms, when you say France is uncomfortable with Nigeria's hegemony in Africa, you should be able to prove that with verifiable events. I continue to warn you, this place is not your village meeting where anybody can make any blank statement and feel cool

You said Egypt, Algeria and morocco are white/arabic. NO!!! They are Arabic. While they partake in african affairs passively is because of their interest being situated in Africa. Morocco didn't even have the grace of pretence, she's not member of the AU.
What are they? Green/Jewish? Morocco used to be a member and the rest remained members so what exactly is your point here?

It's not about the skin colour it's way more than that. If you will pause and watch CNN ,you will see that Egypt and co are part of the middle east. The same way Turkey isn't European not just by skin colour but by political, cultural, ideological and world view disposition , then by people and origin. It is so with north Africa, hence the term, sub Saharan Africa.
If you know how much I hate this kai-kai statements you make here, I wish I can extend an e slap to that your gorilla face. I presented to you events in my penultimate post where i itemized clearly why AU is an unserious organisation not suitable for serious countries like Egypt housing the best military in Africa, I went a step further to juxtapose their Arab league campaigns and more complex successes they have achieved, and you have this nonsense!! to reply me?

Where are the facts that support all these speculations, show me in the news, tell me events, for gods sake i am not your dumb wife neither am I your fat girlfriend, talk to me with facts not conjectures, I hate it

You said we are not suppose to get Ebola, blah blah blah. That no screening whatsoever at the airports. Should I remind you late sawyer was a diplomat who came into Nigeria officially? How did Ebola got into mighty USA or even Spain?
Now that you have managed to speak of an event/events, I am obliged to respond, what is the likelihood of Nigeria (in west Africa by the way) to get Ebola compared to the USA? who should have a tougher contingency plan? Nigeria or the USA?

It is only a goat brain like you will liken a scenario where a symptomatic, diarrhea Ebola patient, walks through your biggest international airport unchecked from an Ebola epicenter a few miles from home, with a controlled medevac of a volunteer health worker.
That comparism can only occur in a failed grey matter like yours, if you really think like this, please DO NOT PROCREATE, we dont need a generation of pure r@trads, we are ok! having you alone.

Did you notice that you provided no evidence to support everything you wrote, how do you expect me to take you seriously?
It took me a year to reply a dullard, you should be grateful you managed to get my attention.

where art the foolish son?
jpphilips is asking of proof that Libya attacked and tried to annex northern Chad.

jpphilips claims South Africa is the brain child of the AU.

jpphilips claims south Africa supported the Libya TNC during the Libyan civil war.

Jpphilips with a claim of being a political and historical expert have no clue about the ogoni 9 and Mandela calling for sanctions from the west against Nigeria.

Jpphilips needs proof that France who has up to 11 members in the 16member ECOWAS block do not view favourably Nigeria's dominance there.

Maybe I should also supply you proof that we are the most populous nation in Africa.

You have gone down as one of the top 10 disadvantages of nairaland.

You do not qualify to partake in this thread either as an observer or an active participant.

You are part of the bottomless dregs of human society, a clog in the wheel of intellectual debate.

your nairaland sojourn is now marked with mediocrity , political and historical bankruptcy.

You are an imposter and an intellectual fraud.

Your only qualification to this thread is a cheap internet connection and a nairalamd account.

Your mental and social maladjustments will continue to defy adequate explanations by both behavioural scientist and psychiatrists.

Nigeria had been a power broker in Africa since her independence. Intact it was only in GEJ regime we started looking inwards.

South Africa isn't the brainchild of AU. It was was ghadafi. YOU ARE AN EMBARRASSMENT.
OAU was formed in 1963 by haile selassie, nkuruma. Letter is was changed to the AU in 1999 just 5years after southafrica got her apartheid cleared into representative governmment. AU is ghadafi's brainchild not southafrica.
Nigeria had no intention of handing over Bakassi even after the ICJ verdict, here is my proof;
According to obasanjo's book titled "Presidential legacy" published in 2013 and reviewed by Donald duke whose land was taken had this to say;

“The French President made it clear to us that it has put on alert its military and showed us the entire position of our military and exactly where we were and our daily movements."

I think you and @zomoears should pick some books and read on what the foreign policies of the international communities are and what they have actually be doing in the past decades.

I am not saying what the op wrote was correct neither can I disprove it but given that you believed that USA would have send in troop into Nigeria soil shows you lot really do not know how the real world works. Please stop twitting and following every celebrity news, invest your time in reading books, meaningful books.

If there were to be crisis in Nigeria those USA troops would first evacuates its citizens, set up a buffer zone for humanitarian crisis, while they use their drones to monitor events on ground. While France will set hers along Cameroonian border since Cameroon happens to be his golden goose.

Sure they would have put pressure on Nigeria government, from sanction to arming opposition and even providing them intels. Maybe down the road after accessing the situation they might assist whomever seems to foster their cause with air raids. But thinking that USA or France will deploy troops to Nigeria is a big joke. With their "lean" military budget and the backlash that came with their last military intervention in Libya etc I doubt if Nigeria is worth stressing over with troop deployment.
How many nations get a memo before troop deployment?

We are talking about Nigeria a country with no defence pact with any super power?
A country whose poorer neighbours trample upon? You are right on US evacuating her citizens but does it always end there?

Libya after evacuation realized that the US embassy in Libya was a CIA satellite work station, The US Ambassador to Libya at the time was a double of an Ambassador and a spy station chief.

The incoming administration should not use their victory to settle scores, rather they should use it to unite this nation.

Appointments should be made based on merit, integrity...etc, and not based on past grudges with a particular ethnic group.

Truth is Nigeria cannot move forward if we embrace a particular ethnic group and castigate another.

Buhari said it times without number that he's government is going into intensive restructuring of the nations power, academic, sport, agriculture...etc sector. And to achieve this, we have to be united and work together.

We joined forces with the south west in 2011 to install GEJ but he failed us. Unfortunately most south easterners preferred to give him a second chance rather than embrace change. It was their choice. The media should stop making it look as if we committed a great sin by voting GEJ.

To my fellow igbos. Well I've said this and I will say it again. Jonathan's administration was of no benefit to the south east. It only enriched a few of our leaders, but had no positive impact on the majority; its time we unite and embrace the new administration.
It is not just a great sin but a political suicide! !

I agree with this completely

Ode keep hating while i make the list of youngest richest man in Nigeria and beyond
You may have the money but Hausa and Yorubas still have the power, 2 policies of Obasanjo made Pascal Dozie a billionaire.

Consolidation of banks made him highest shareholder in Diamond Bank and the telecoms licence made him chairman of MTN,

conversely, One policy of Obasanjo that withdrew Cletus Ibeto's licence for cement importation reduced him to one of Nigeria's highest debtors.
He ended up with a stroke.

Yaradua a mere chemistry lecturer but by virtue of being the president reversed that treachery and Ibeto bounced back to become one of Nigeria's richest.

My point is this; money buys wants and needs but power make things happen.

While you pursue money, yorubas and Hausas pursue power, with power, money is easier and safer. In the last 16yrs, igbos have neither smelt nor occupied the first two seats of the Nigerian state, in that arrangement, your money is not safe.

You are at the mercy of the Yorubas and Hausa. I will continue doing my best in telling you the truth that flexing lizard muscles will get you nowhere.

It was Atiku and Ken Nnamani that stopped OBJ'S third term bid.
I know your father could not afford a colour TV at the time reason Atiku resembled Kalu from a black and white point of view.

Thank God for Nairaland with people of good will throwing down the rope however deep the cave you exist is.

Its the internet and thats why you tye this way without going through all wht you said. The internet is a powerful tool no doubt.

A forum where everyone can go and vent their frustrations, thats what the internet in nigeria has become. and I respect the guts. One thing I still don't seem to understand from the apparent "rag-tagged-treasonable fellons" is whom are they against, President Jonathan, Foreign Oil Investors, Federal Nigerian Government, the state government, PRESIDENT ELECT (GENERAL MUHAMMADU BUHARI ) or All the aforementioned entities ?

Secondly, i though these rogues where all disbanded nd their weapons drstroyed or collected under the AMnesty deal, where did they of a sudden begin to get their supplies and have they peruse over and over again if their sudden actions if not embarked upon destroying installations and the pipelines protected would yield them dividend, assuming territorial owner?

If their actions re been fueled by anger for the loss of their brother from the recent election, or by prominient Niger deltan defunct politician who want might be bent on making the adminatration of the incoming govermnent intolerable. what's their assurance that all their actions would give expectes results? cause i heard a General is in town.

My advice to these misguided folks is to take a clue from the Mexican theme on Peace Accord: "Zapatta".

Finally, its time they know that taking arms against their Fatherland and recognising it as their viable way of settling scores and calling attention to injustices or showing support for the loss of their brother against the opposition is no solution ? As these might be disastrous when the army of the general retaliates, leading to csualities.

Life they say has No Duplicate and Dead People Don't Speak !. A wword they sy is enough for the wise
When a militant was paid $21m monthly and awarded a pipeline surveillance contract which he never did, to the tune of billions, Nigerians kept quiet right?
Is that money not enough to buy an army?

When a militant was caught gun running in South Africa, what did we do?

It is obvious where their supplies came from, what I am sure is that they will beg like Foday Kallay.

Noise maker I will continue to call you

Where were you when they visited Bonga which is 100 nautical miles from shore and the farthest facility from shore in Nigeria

Where were you when they visited the same ExxonMobil Yoho offshore FSO just about a week ago and made away with five personnels

Listen young man, there is no limit. Violence is not good for the country at the moment neither is the threat of Military force an antidote either.

So quit the noise and watch the national space

And stop being narrow minded and shortsighted. Where would you get the gas to power your turbines for power supply? Are those gas pipelines offshore too?

Go to bed, you are a learner.
Shell's Bonga is just 120km not 100 nautical miles an equivalent of 185km you lying scum.

who told you Bonga is the farthest facility we have? Bonga is actually one of the closest we have, you are just one big liar. The militants got there because it is pretty close, if you think Bonga is far, inquire about Akpo to get the shock of your life.

You are just here to learn a thing or two, Bonga of 2015 is not the same with Bonga of 2008, we have made very serious investments on Bonga and Security is world class as we speak.

Boga's production is significant hence Nigeria does not joke with its security now.
Also, we have a new commander in chief with military background, You will see how this will play out this time.

The gas lines that supply our turbines are very short, only our Gas export trunk lines are long, they are as big as 36" to 42" any idi0t who will puncture is just committed suicide.

Like you said they will target the shorter and smaller ones, it will cost us nothing to put surveillance there.

Buhari is not Jonathan and this time around he is riding on the will of the people, watch how this will play out.

NB:

It will be very difficult for the militants to recruit like in the past because they are now aware their leaders are after their own pocket.

I heard about the EXXONMOBIL kidnap, my source never mentioned Yoho and it is not yet in the news.

Let us get the details first before we start speculating.

With the kind of interceptors Nigerian Navy have now and a no nonsense commander in chief, may the soul of any militant going offshore rest in peace in advance!

Noise makers. Buhari will be annihilating the boys and the oil facilities together.

You can't eliminate the boys and expect the oil facilities intact. Can't you see the impossibility

Hard times ahead..... Force is definitely not an option for Buhari and he should wise enough to know that
Dumb people like you are already taking them seriously, most of the NPDC assets esp in the west are marginal fields, their production is not fantastic.
SPDC actually sold those assets to concentrate on offshore production where the real deal is.

Ask yourself, why was EXXONMOBIL not hurt at the peak of militancy?
Because they invested offshore, Shell has done it too, so the few land and swamp assets are under Jonathan and Tompolo's control.

ENI are mafians so militants or not, you can't do shiit.

Do you expect this militants to bite the fingers that feed them?

The more they bomb land assets the more they impoverish Jonathan and Madueke.

75% of Nigeria's oil come from offshore, the bulk of the 25% is controlled by Jonathan and friends who own those militants, so why should I be bothered?

The end of this road is an environmental disaster in the delta, Tompolo, Jonathan, Patience and Madueke will hunt this guys down.

Watch!!!!
