olaheavy1: So, Ibori, Alameyeisiagha, Asari Dokubo, and all members of Ogoni and the MEND are no more Easterners? You cannibalistic ignoramus, vile to the rest of your miserable life! Amin na Yarabi.
if all these people you mentioned are all easterners, then who are the southerners?

I am begining to have doubts on your sanity.

olaheavy1: Word.
This problem is actually between the North and the East. From history, you would not find a single outcast/omo ale from Yorubaland that was given a rousing welcome or whatever. We're known for not rewarding our criminal sons and daughters - rather we shunned them and forced them into obscurity. Chief Adisa Akinloye and Richard Akinjide remain ignobly hated by all and sundry. When we heard the news of Akinloye's involvement in a ghastly auto accident in London, England, the whole of Ibadan was thrown into a party mood; all the women of Ibadan were dancing and jubilating. Though Akinloye luckily survived the accident, and later returned home to a hardknocked hatred by his own Ibadan brethren till he died. Richard Akinjide and Alao Arisekola are hated seriously in Ibadan and across Yorubaland. General Oladipo Diya can't even walk freely in Yorubaland without being jeered and sneered. Olusegun Obasanjo came out of prison and was met with a bileful of hostility by the Yoruba people. We didn't even vote for him. And he remains yet unpopular among Yoruba folks even with his two-term reigns as Nigeria's President. Remember how long it took us to forgive MKO Abiola when he became Awolowo's worst nightmare. We still regard the likes of Remi Fani Kayode (that bastard Femi's father) and Samuel Oladoke Akintola as two-faced traitors and outcasts. Shonekan of the discredited ING is still walking around in shame. These are our sons (dead and alive), however, while their sins and culpability lasted we shunned, cursed, and disowned them. Yes, they're all Yoruba, but became reprobates when they erred. We did not reward them. They remain in our bad book.
The same cannot be said about our brethren in the North and the East. Umaru Dikko, Uba Ahmed, Alhaji Alhaji, Sheu Shagari, Babangida, Abdul-Salam and the rest of the thieves from the North were absorbed back into their clannish Hausa/Fulani enclaves. I am sure if General Bisala, Col. Buka Suka Dimka, Abacha and other dead bastards from the North were to rise up today they would be given a rousing and heroic welcome by their Hausa/Fulani hero worshippers! Look at Babangida- the bastard still walks with his shoulders high without disdain or molestation by his people.
The Easterners are the worst. Ojukoju who masterminded their annihilation via a stupid war of attrition was given a heroic welcome when he came back from his self-imposed exile. They even dashed him a chieftaincy title, "Ikemba." Arthur Nzeribe's antics would have, over the years, won him a place at the shooting range or the guillotine or hangman's noose in Yorubaland; however, the criminal remains a hero in the East. Look at Ibori, Alameyeisiagha, Asari Dokubo, Akpamgbo, Chukwumerije, and the rest of the Eastern thieves and gang bangers - they remain heros among their people. This is NIGERIA.
how did you degenrate to this level?
You sound informed but the level of bigotry in what you wrote undermines the quality of your education.

Are you a chief priest or village leader of some sort?, trust me, you need help.
Hamza Al-Mustapha returned to a hero's
welcome in Kano, complete with an airport
reception, an open-jeep convoy to
Government House, our man waving to the
crowd like a returnee founding father of
Nigeria. Even Boko Haram, which had not
hesitated to attack the Emir in the past,
respectfully observed the Al-Mustapha day in
Kano. Of course the show would not be
complete if he didn't say he has forgiven us.
Unlike George Zimmerman's punks who
always get away, the punks of Nigeria always
return from prison to forgive those they stole
from - or the surviving relatives of patriots
they assassinated. Before him, Alamsco
returned to a hero's welcome and also
forgave us. Tafa Balogun returned to a hero's
welcome and forgave us. Bode George
returned to a gigantic hero's welcome and
forgave us. Back in the day, the best of the
best among us used to return to a hero's
welcome from international triumphs in their
respective areas of accomplishment -
sportsmen and women, technocrats,
intellectuals, etc. The contingent to the 1984
Olympics returned to a hero's welcome.
Soyinka returned from Stockholm to a hero's
welcome in 1986. Now we have produced
almost two generations of Nigerians for
whom the very idea of a hero's welcome is
nothing more than the owambe spectacle of
criminals returning from prison to become
political players and shapers of public
opinion, feted in Government Houses by
imbeciles misusing the apparatuses of state.
At this rate, when Ibori is done paying his
debt to the Queen of England, I foresee a
presidential plane being dispatched to
London to fetch him from the Queen's prison.
I foresee a state reception in Abuja. I foresee
him subsequently entering Oghara on a
donkey requisitioned for the occasion, with
hundreds of thousands of youths waving
palm fronds and singing hosanna in the
highest. Ibori will forgive Nigerians and tell us
to go and sin no more. Lets not kid ourselves
by saying that these sordid spectacles are a
reflection of the punks in the ruling class. Let
us stop Pyrrhic and escapist explanations,
saying that the returnee criminals rent the
crowds. It no longer washes. These spectacles
are a reflection of us. Let us just say that we
have no desire or are not ready to end it.
Anway sha, I thank Hamza Al-Mustapha for
being so magnanimous as to forgive us. Allah
be praised.
oh! Wish i could write so well, the facts are so articulated.
Well done!!

Denn: ^^^^^ you 'logic' amuses me.

Did your brain really concoct using a tank against a gunship?

Have you heard the proverb that muscles don't open doors as easily as keys?

You call Nigeria's army a militia? What will you now call Ghana's?

Military strategy and effective use of resources wins a war and not equipment.
Gun ship is a nickname for attack helicopters so it is not what you are thinking, calm down, no resources has been wasted yet. Lol

In modern warfare, gunships are used to neutralize heavy artilleries, tanks and Apc's, they equally provide aeriel support or escort for your ground forces or artilleries if you have any,

now, over the years, modern gun ships have not disappointed in that task. I read during the libya conflict that for some reasons, the gunships will be more efficient in takng out those artilleries than using jets.

Im not saying we dont have MIG gunship, i think i have seen one at NAF base ph, but the only difference here is the capability of yours vs that of your enemy.

In other words, the gun ships are actually the key not the muscle if i should borrow your door analogy,
i may not know why most millitaries prefer it that way cos im not a millitary strategist, but i am sure that is how it plays out most times.

Now if you wanna use an African country for example, SA has and manufactures a plethora of gunships including the rooivalks which recently is classed in tandem with the AH 64 Apache,

can you really say your T55 tanks are safe when your enemy is comming with rooivalks?

Take your time and research the model of tanks and APC's in ghaddafi's arsenal which were disgraced by those blazing birds, and yes at that time, ghaddafi's army were rated 2nd best in Africa.

The AH 64 apache is equally owned by the egyptian army another african country, boeing who happens to be the manufacturer has announced they can be armed with the hell fire missile and you want to be giant of Africa with T55 tanks in such scenario?

good luck with that!!
Politics › Re: Pictures Of Military Hard-wares At The Army Day Celebration 2013 by jpphilips(m): 3:10am On Jul 15, 2013
Denn: of course Slovakia would have samples of T-55 in their museums...same as we have biafra war relics and muritala mohammed's mercedes in some enclaves....

Slovakia fought a terrible war and that tank sure reminds them of how bad war can be...thats why it is in a museum.

a museum is not a junk yard where you dump useless items...A museum is an institution that cares for (conserves) a collection of artifacts and other objects of scientific, artistic, cultural, or historical importance and makes them available for public viewing through exhibits that may be permanent or temporary http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museum
seriously you are justifying using a T55 to face a south african denel rooivalk attack gunship? In this era of ah64 attack helos and augusta apaches? I will take it as a joke.

In 2011 just yesterday, at a time when the libyan army was rated 2nd best in Africa behind egypt, france and britain scarambled a few eurocopter tigers and augusta westland gunships to neutralize all the modern tanks and APC's in ghaddafi's arsenal within few days.

Your analogy reminds me of the story my father told me during the civil war in october 1967 at calabar sector, when for some reasons ojukwu withdrew their sub machine guns and left them 2 men to one regular hunter's riffle

just few hrs when the Nigerian third commando division headed by the black scorpion arrived, tragedy struck, perhaps, the composite of his comrades must have formed the oil sinopec is drilling today in that region. lol

their commander lt col festus akagha who replaced captain ogbo orji who within the hour of black scorpion's onslaught has lost 2 limbs, sent ojukwu a desperate telegram with this phrase in part,

''we are holding up to make the supreme sacrifice if need be, we that are about to die, salute you''.

You see my friend, i admire your jingoism but the Nigerian army is just a well trained millitia, they dont have what it takes to be called an army yet.

Even ojukwu agrees that the fall of calabar sector was largely attributed to the sophistication and superior fire power of the Nigerian army at the time.
In his words;

''it is only an overfed bird that challenges his god to a duel''

War is not a ludo game, be careful what you wish for.

supaeagles: I give you that, PTF was a great accomplishment of his regime. At the same time, the siphoning of public founds by him/his family was extreme and the masses (including me) felt it in terms of the economy.
what do you know about this man called Abubakar bagunu?

It is only someone who hasnt heard or investigated that name still believe that abacha looted Nigeria.
Also go and read the book written by obj titled ''the animal called man'' and feel his pulse on how much hatred he has for abacha and how poised he was to destroy him.

At a time when oil price was a paltry 20usd a barrel, and Nigeria's production was a misery 899,000bbls, abacha successfully delivered ptf projects which ran on auto pilot for 2yrs after his demise, 1998 to 2000 before obj scrapped it, can you beat that?
abacha was able to invest over 181billion to fund ptf.

Do you know that ibb handed abacha a 54% inflation and 5yrs on, abacha died in an 8% inflation, abacha's inflation figures was the second best Nigeria has ever had in history after buhari's 5% in 1984.

abacha funded 2 international peace keeping operations for 5yrs with the second lowest millitary budget in 3 decades, i know you will be wondering whether armed charles taylor soldiers and west side millitia were tougher than rag tag untrained boko haram for our phd president to tackle them with a 900billion millitary spending with no success story yet.

Only 3 govts in our history has made budget to clear internal debts against the usual servicing like we are doing with 68billion today which will surely increase by next yr after bro jo's sojourn in china. The govts are, obj in 2002, abacha in 1996 and buhari in 1984.
No other president dead or alive has done it for Nigerians.

abacha's 3,500 naira minimum wage was a jump from babangida's 250naira of 1988. Precisely 10yrs of neglect of Nigerian workers.
abacha paid with oil prices resonating btwn 11.8usd and 18usd per barrell by early 1998.

In 1997, during the asian financial crisis, abacha saved 9.6billion usd in our foreign reserve a time when our oil production was 899,000bbls per day at a price of 11usd per barrel.

abacha was the only Nigerian head of state who maintained a stable naira against the dollar.
abacha pegged the USD at 22naira and remained so for a very long time even when oil prices fell to 9usd/bbls before going to 11, 18 and 21, the naira never coughed.
No head of state dead or alive has done it for Nigeria in such circumstance.

If the above was right, then abacha must have stolen more money than the Nigerian govt has, from the figures i ve gathered so far and what he spent,
Abacha could not have stolen as much as obj alleged coupled with his bias on abacha.

But to be fair to history, Abacha had no regard for human life, all these political halleluya boys, the okupes, the prodeco, the soyinka etc were hunted like bush meat during the Abacha era.

You must have felt something else definitely not Abacha's economic policies.

Abacha was a serial killer no doubt but kleptomanism wasnt one of his few talents.

go and read about abacha's economic policies make sure you dont skip the ptf part.

abacha increased petrol from 3naira 25kobo to 11naira yet he revamped all the sectors of the Nigerian economy with his ptf project which was money accrued from the increament.

abacha's ptf campaign was the second revolution in Nigeria after buhari's WAI and buharinomics that remains the best economic era in Nigeria's history.

13yrs after the demise of ptf, its landmarks still spans the length and breath of this country.

Please I urgently need the help of any legal practitioners. I really don't know what I've gotten my self into.

I finished NYSC last year and two months later I was interviewed for a job at an Indian owned Pharmaceutical company. After two months I was offered the job as a Medical representative. My self and all other successful applicants were given a one-week training before we were all dispatched to our different states.

Among the employment forms we were given to sign there was a SERVICE BOND form which states that "I am to work with the company for TWO YEARS or pay a sum of 250.000" I signed because of the employment situation in the country and to be honest I was desperate I couldn't afford to be unemployed I had so many family pressures I was almost becoming depressed.

I am now on the job and my people I AM SEEING HELL!!! I work tirelessly my salary is less than 100k I spend a greater amount of it on transportation(Nature of the Job as a Medical Representative I Move from one place to the other) we were promised a car for mobility but this is almost 6months and absolutely nothing is being said about it. I am under the sun under the rain working. I hate complaining because I feel it is synonymous to being ungrateful but some days I can't take it I feel like quitting on the spot!

After I realised the service bond I signed I refused to sign the offer of employment letter (I still have it in my possession). Now I'm seeking a less stressful job because honestly this one is beginning to affect my health. How do I go about this SERVICE BOND please I really need help. I can't pay that 250k I can barely save up to 20k every month infact successfully saving 10k a month is a miracle! And I can't work for another 18 months I'm not sure I will survive. Please I need Your help!
