SoNature: At this point, Nigeria ought to have a price control board. How can people wake up and increase their prices without consequences? It makes no sense! We have a price control board. It's just that you can't control the prices of something you don't produce. If you attempt it, you will tank the economy. |

AOB1: He have right to support whoever he wants, South Africa citizens are not mature at all Dumb of him, if you ask me. He should've just kept quiet. Or maybe he knew the reaction he'd get and he was prepared for it - based on some calculations of benefits accruing to the club from Nwabali's performance. If it was Nigeria, some people would react too. |

MzansiCoolio: Serious threats like frying jollof rice and showing you pepper? Isn't that just banter using Nigerian stereotypes? Could be, but that depends on how it was worded. I have not seen the threats and certainly don't have the information the embassy has on who may have been behind them. The key thing is that in South Africa street violence against Africans, including Nigerians, has happened on occasions in the past. That it was not related to football (I don't have information on this) is not all that relevant. That's why it's unfair criticism to blame the embassy for issuing that warning. |

MzansiCoolio: An overreaction and insult to SA, as if anything and everything triggers us to violence 😡
The same Nigeria won Afcon in SA a few years back and there were no incidents.
This high commissioner should be demarched 🇳🇬👎🏾 Well, it says there've been THREATS online. Likely just idle threats from some people with too much time on their hands, but the embassy has a responsibility to issue this warning. |

richiemcgold: We need surveillance drones more than fighter jets. Intelligence is the best way to curb insecurity. RESPONSE is just as important–for troop insertion or attack. When the train kidnapping took place a couple of years back, there was live feed from the crime scene. In a serious country, the security forces would have scrambled and deployed helicopters after the terrorists immediately. But nothing was done and they were simply allowed to take them into the bush. Just like the Chibok and Dapchi and kidnapping among others. |

Politics › Re: Opeyemi Falegan: UK Air Force Officer Offers To Train Amotekun Operatives by JuanDeDios: 7:52am On Feb 04, 2024 |
bigpriik: its not about training them,it about the kind of weapon they can wield, amotekun is not allowed to wield ak47 and other advanced assault rifles and weapons,if they do the government will term it illegal, for now they can only use pump action which is no match for herdsmen and bandits so such training is useless. Training is not useless. A trained person can do a lot with a pump action. Training is just not something one person can offer. |

RenaissanceGuy: Africans with their inferiority complex. Imagine a single soldier offering to come train thousands of already-trained vigilante members, as if he got his own training from heaven. We always believe that the white people have solutions to all problems, when we can simply use our God-given brain to work out solutions ourselves. That was the first thing that came to my mind. Sure, he can offer some advice but that's it. Sure, Amotekun needs any modern training and gadgetary they can get, but the SW governments can find a good urban police force to help them with this - NYPD's SBO, LAPD's SWAT, Scotland Yard or anything along those lines. |

Much later in the day you return back home to meet this food kept on the table for you while your wife or girlfriend was just lying on the sofa with her sexy night wear but just ignored you like she didn't notice you are back.
