Mr Okpeholo has a reputation for forbidding people from entering Benin City though. Sebi he did it with Peter Obi? Maybe he's decided to take things a bit further.
Pakute: He was later released on administrative bail on Saturday at about 1 am and was asked to report daily to the commission for further interrogation.
This post is all about putting the theories in figures. STAY TUNED .
Now the man (From a supportive family) earns 100K and decides to Marry. That is #1,200,000 per annum (1.2M). His expected expenditure should look like this: ➡️Cost of wedding =Free (Family Sponsors). ➡️ House rent =Free (Has 2 rooms in his family house). ➡️ Electricity Bill (2K a month X 1 year) = #24,000. ➡️Feeding with wife and kid/s (At least 2K a day X 1 year)= #730,000. ➡️Clothing =Nil (He doesn't change clothes ). ➡️Wife Expenditure = Nil (Her parents supports her and fends for her in his house ) ➡️Baby Diapers = Nil (Baby wears Napkin). ➡️ Water (Sachet water and others) =Free. ➡️Baby Food and Groceries (Milk, etc, 5K per month X 1 year) =#60,000. ➡️Transportation to work (500 Naira per day X at least 270 days a year) =#135,000. ➡️Recharge card and Data for our man and wife (#200 a day x 1 year) = #73,000.
TOTAL SO FAR =#1,022,000 (1M, 22K) Our man will be left with #178,000 (178K) at the end of the year in review.
⚠️You will observe that I was extremely prudent in the expenditure, in the hope that both his family and the wife's family support the marriage which is most times unlikely; what applies is that you the man is the one supporting them instead.
⚠️ I only added basic RECURRENT costs and didn't account for emergencies like Healthcare, or even miscellaneous. I also obviously avoided school fees, baby wears, etc.
❓Can you marry with 100K income? YES & NO!
You can if you already have a room in your parents house, your family and her family is supportive financially and otherwise, you like stress and you are comfortable with your current financial status (as marrying at this stage will give you little room for financial improvement and growth)
But if you desire to grow financially, break the chain of poverty, value your peace of mind, want to give your family the best and live in a city where you pay for rent and other things, then it'll be a suicide mission to marry with a 100K income.
MONEY247: The marriage would end up a mirrage... #100,000 is not feasible financially for a man or woman who wants to marry and live comfortably with their spouse.... Imagine the kids Imagine the food expense... Transportation... Other financial obligations and commitments
That's not the point. Of course, they can't be arrested now – since those charged with defending the constitution have chosen to betray their oaths and become bandits. That's why I said OUGHT TO be arrested. What ought to happen now is the Army arrests the president for coup plotting, declares the election results, and swears in the winner.
Nigerianization: Tinubu's rallying cry in the north was Islamic dominance and in the South, it was emilokan. He neither attended any debates nor spoke coherently during his campaign tours. Please tell me three criteria that informed your choice of voting him. I await your response.
Tell me one criterion I met that made you think I voted for Mr Tinubu. And how does not not attending debates prove that people voted for him because of tribe or that if another person was in power, there won't be kidnappings? And Tinubu was crooning about Islamic dominance? Just hearing that one.
budaatum: One thing I've learnt is, siblings can assume they all got the same good treatment, when the truth might be that some are not treated as well as some. And though some may claim someone "was well treated as a kid", they don't know how the kid felt about its treatment.
I say the above to add rationality to the actions of this "kid". It is also possible that the kid's action might be irrational, and that he truly was treated well as a kid and now just does not care about his parent's no more, or it can be that his new location has its on hardships that have caused issues for him so his thinking is bent.
If we don't walk in his shoes we'd never know his journey, basically, and any judgement might be ill informed and hasty, and is definitely a "million dollar question", and "life".
This may be true, but he was obviously well treated. Sent to school and all. Others got it far worse. If he really took the route of COMPARING his treatment with that of his siblings, I can only say Smh.
franchasng: It's funnier when people like you think the skyrocketing insecurity in Nigeria is not as a result of leadership failure of the incumbent President.
President Tinubu is the Commander-in-chief of Nigeria's Armed Forces, do you know the meaning of that? Governors have no say on security matters because only Nigeria's President can give orders to Nigerian service chiefs and all heads of security agencies in Nigeria
Governors cannot even give order to the Police Commissioner in their state because they take orders only from the IG of Police who reports and answerable to only the President, so you see?
If Tinubu forgets about 2027 reelection and focus on governing Nigeria with sincerity, integrity and fear of God and respect for humanity, take it from me, insecurity will be brought to a very low level.
Tinubu is playing dirty politics with the insecurity. You cannot mock God. When a bad leader rules, the people suffer, says the Holy Bible.
It was obvious that Tinubu was never the right person to become Nigeria's President, it was Buhari's incompetence and wickedness that paved way for Tinubu
Insecurity is Tinubu's failure. But that was not the point of the posts I was responding to or of my response. I guess someone with your impressive typing speed can be excused for missing the issue.
lamentor78: These bandits and kidnappers knows that we Nigerians are fools , imagine the high spate of kidnapping and NURTW has not come up with any security solutions to the plight of travellers very disturbing.
Nurtw? You expect those ones to THINK for us? Not going to happen. An average Nigerian is like the vulture. When it's raining, he wants to go build a house once it stops so the next rain won't meet him outside. Then the rain stops and he forgets about building and cares only about his next meal.
Kukutente23: Are you saying if Obi was in power insecurity would have been nipped in the bud? Don't be like zombies who were first deceived with N50 milo by late Bubu only to again be deceived with agbadeau by Pa Amoda Learn to think beyond tribal supremacy
It's funny really. How simple people think. There's insecurity because Tinubu won. His voters all voted because of tribe and brought us all this kidnapping wahala. Lol.
correctyourself: I think every community should work with their local government authorities and royal father and form vigilante and include hunters in the locality, this would go along way to help
That's what I don't get. How can Fulanis from far away dominate our forests? What happened to our people? Must be the AK-47 factor, I guess. But are we even trying at all?
Verance: I studied Education and currently work as teacher and I can boldly say that my salary plus private lessons in a month beats what the average medical doctor earns in a month in my locality here in Lagos, even if I don't have properties or a large bank account (just like many doctors who started practicing from the time I graduated from school), I can feed myself and family well enough, dress fine and afford a modest accomodation.
Well, the kidnappers of the 24 haven't been arrested. So we expected this, right? Or is there anyone who thought it was over with the "release" of the 24?
AlBaqir: Is the Qurʾān a Clarification of Everything?
The remit of Q. 16:89, where God declares the Qurʾān as “a clarification of all things” is something of a discussion amongst exegetes. On the one hand it seems clear that there is only a certain number of verses speaking on specific topics, and on the other, is it really the concern of the Qurʾān to provide clarification for mundane matters? For this reason, many exegetes have opted to understand the use of “all things” as referring to all things that are related to human guidance and progression. Others have widened the scope more by saying that the Qurʾān contains the principles by which even the mundane can be navigated. In this post we will look at the views of Allāmah Ṭabāṭabāʾī and Allāmah Hasanzādah Āmulī.
While Tabatabai agrees with the idea that the Qurʾān explains all that is relevant for human guidance, and indeed this is what makes it a timeless text, he widens this scope to include clarification of what has occurred previously and what will occur in the future, which is an aspect of the taʾwīl of the Qurʾān. The Qurʾān is a manifestation of the Guarded Tablet (al-lawḥ al-maḥfūẓ) or the Well-protected Register (al-kitāb al-maknūn). Accessing the Guarded Tablet is the meaning of taʾwīl, which means to access the origin of something. As Q. 56:78-80 states the Kitāb Maknūn is only accessible to the purified.
Hasanzādah instead interprets “all things” to mean all existent realities which is the prerogative of those established in knowledge (al-rāsikhūn fi-l-ʿilm) referred to in Q. 3:7 who know the taʾwīl of the Qurʾān. His view of the “and” preceding those established in knowledge is that it is a continuation (ʿatf) rather than the start of another sentence (istiʾnāf) unlike Ṭabāṭabāʾī who thinks the opposite. The Qurʾān is an explanation of realities of the cosmos. Those realities are contained within the souls of humans. The Qurʾān indicates those realities through its text and is therefore a clarification of all things.
For both scholars then, the Qurʾān clarifies everything as it is a window to the Guarded Tablet for the purified. Within the Tablet are the realities of all existent things which are accessed through the process of taʾwīl. Although they reach this conclusion using different thought processes, both see a wider remit for Q. 16:89 than that which pertains to the guidance of mankind.

I doubt it. There's a lot in the Quran that isn't so clear. And there are verses that appear to contradict each other when you do a literal reading. There's also the issue of the Quran being a book fit for its time. So we sometimes encounter problems when we try to apply some of its precepts to the modern era.
Hon. Kafilat has voiced strong concerns following the rescue of the kidnapped children, questioning the silence surrounding the identities and whereabouts of the abductors. She insists that the public deserves full clarity, urging authorities to present the kidnappers and provide a detailed account of the investigation so far.
Speaking further, she expressed deep sadness over the growing insecurity in the country, noting that “schools that were once safe havens have now become tragic targets.” Her statement reflects the fears of many parents and communities who no longer feel secure sending their children to school.
In this detailed news update, we highlight her call for transparency, improved security measures, and urgent action to protect students across the nation. The situation has sparked nationwide concern as citizens demand accountability and lasting solutions to the rising wave of school-related attacks.

We have no business with them. We just want the kids. Stop asking about the kidnappers. What do you want to do with them?
Next week, they will kidnap again, and then we'll start making noise. That's how we roll.

But I'm sure you think your short run long run argument will appeal to anyone and save our agric sector by the time Chinese or South African beef has taken over the market. And that is why 10 years from now, we will still be here arguing about open or no open grazing. And people will continue to be killed.
We're talking solutions you're telling me open grazing is archaic and reeling out figures from Argentina. Thank you for enlightening me. I didn't know.
alabo1: I am shocked at your reasoning. So you are saying open grazing is the way to go?Yes branching will make neat more expensive but only in the short run and the salient benefits to the national can not be quantified
And I'm shocked at your reading. You should read what I wrote again.
On second thought, let me explain. No, I don't support open grazing. I'm against open grazing. But I'm also against those who refuse to see what ought to be obvious - that the herders won't give up grazing for ranching unless steps are taken to encourage ranching.
But I'm sure you think your short run long run argument will appeal to anyone and save our agric sector by the time Chinese or South African beef has taken over the market. I guess he doesn't want to be kidnapped. I'm sure he can afford the ransom, but the embarrassment won't be nice. Plus the whole inconvenience of sleeping in some bush hut or swamp away from Remi.
Who admonishes bandits and terrorist to lay down arms? Na church we dey?
At this point, anything other than direct confrontation and flushing out of bandits from the bushes is mere polishing the problem with make ups to hide it temporarily
Buhari was even tougher then when he said the army should shoot at sight any anyone carrying an AK-47. what happened afterwards?
Till today no one was shot and herders are still roaming our bushes with AK-47s
Tinubu is a colossal failure
Thank you. He's talking for talking sake as usual. Only bullets and handcuffs will work for these guys.
Quest7777: These Herders, are they really willing to embrace ranching.
Hope it will not lead again to asking State Govts to provide ranching lands for them.
Cow business should be treated like any other private business. Herders should readjust to this reality. If we no chop cow meat for 1year, we no go die.
Ranching is difficult in Nigeria. It's easier in places where you have dairy cows that produce milk that you sell for millions. That's in addition to the fact that the economics of those countries can support ranch-raised beef. If you ranch all the meat cows in Nigeria, 1 kg of meat may go for N14k. Once this happens, cheaper meat imported from China or wherever will take over. Unfortunately, people don't understand the challenges - that's why you hear tired lines "Cattle is a private business and the government should not get involved."
Without direct government intervention and subsidies, the ranches will fail.
Oh, they included politicians holding office in the police withdrawal? Lol. Nigeria is joke. The joke will be on them and those praising this hair-brained decision as a good move.
