owobokiri: This kind of statement only helps to mormalise infamy. You make it look like at their default mode, a northerner must be violent. I am afraid that is not true. We are all brutish at the base. It is not peculiar to anyone, unless when emboldened by religion and the absence of punishments.
They used to get away with all sorts of violence in the north. Massacres ontop Massacres. It lasted for years. Shariah riots under Obasanjo claimed nearly ten thousands lives! No one was sent to jail for that. Remember when Gideon Akaluka was beheaded at Kano and his skull put on a spike!? No one was arrested nor prosecuted for that. Remember the lady that was stoned to death in Sokoto? No one was arrested over that.
As long as you refuse to punish criminal offenders for their violent crimes, they will not stop. You need to make very rigid laws and make sure that the application is perfect. Send someone to the firing squad for murder and others around him will fall in line... Brilliant post. Just to say that there was serious comeuppance for the Akaluka murder. No court trials, but the dictator du jour (Abacha) was said to have sent his goons to simply kill off the ringleaders one by one. Only one of them, a prince, was said to have escaped as he was smuggled out of the country. But the fact that he later come back to the country and was not immediately arrested and put on trial but went on to hold a high government post takes us back to the absence of a functional justice system. |

HacheNoire: He is a hardcore loyalist to western imperialism and why his case is not making the airwaves as it ought to.
He can rule for as long as he can if he keeps listening to his masters. It happened in Equatorial Guinea, Gabon and currently happening in Rwanda. You just have to listen and you can become a life president.
It’s sad but it’s the reality we must all face as Africans. You only become a dictator when you fail to listen, and that point, the people think they are fighting for them, not knowing they are fighting for interest.
Has anyone ever noticed that those rich Arab countries never need democracy? Because they listen. But the president of Iran and Venezuela do not listen and why they are dictators😁 Same applied to Idi-Amin, Ghadaffi and Saddam. Idi-Amin. Ghadaffi. Saddam. Hmm. Wonderful leaders that their people were lucky to have. Great African leaders who did wonders for their people. Like Maduro and the Iranian mullahs. |

Image123: Lolz, i have been accused of so many things just for supporting my country's government. It pales and always looks like a very funny joke compared to the accusations and persecutions i bore and bear for my faith for decades, so no biggie. From accusing me of being from a religion, to a party, or a tribe, or being paid. It hardly goes further. You made clear claims that insecurity has gotten worse. i asked you for proof to support. You started gaslighting and throwing tantrums. Why do you think i owe you an explanation that you don't want to believe. If i give you official proof and statements, would you believe? NO. What exactly do you want aside me agreeing with you by force? What do we have here? A middle-aged religious man whose entire idea of smartness, interlocution or having fun is wrapped up in playing on words. One day he becomes a politician’s abobaku (he calls it supporting the government), hyping and praising ANYthing and EVERYthing the government does and using very unflattering words on opposition politicians and their supporters. You just woke up and realised how wonderful Nigeria and its government is? Ok. More GCON to your elbow. You may want to read our posts again to see who was using civilised language and who started with insults, or "tantrums" as you call them. And of course, media reports and the experiences of real Nigerians no longer matter. Only hard, cold statistics do - after all, campaign is over and na statistics we go chop now. |

Image123: Lolz, you gave the accusations. Now to prove your categorical statement "insecurity is getting worse", you are assuming? What a joker. I actually thought you had something. Resorting to beer parlour style language changes nothing – even to say, "No, govs aren't negotiating with murderers" or "Yes, but it's perfectly fine for govs to negotiate with murderers. Sebi the UK negotiated with armed robbers in 1902 when..." Anyway, I already told you what's important: Sebi you're close to them? Tell them to GET SERIOUS and tackle insecurity. It's no problem if I'm a joker. It's a problem that your government is. |

I'll assume you have stats it's improving - and I'll likely change my mind when you share them and they're convincing. But for now, the realities we see in the media say it's getting worse. That the government is not serious. How else do you explain the fact that governors across the north have again opened negotiations with mass-murdering, kidnapping and raping bandits? That last time that happened was 2023 and I thought it ended with the end of the Buhari regime. Or the fact that BH has started attacking military bases again? |

Warning though: when buying, ask for lean cuts (stomach, back, loin). Also ask the butcher to assure you it's a from a sow (female) or castrated male. E get why. JoyLong123423: My dad is late and my fiance proposed early this year. We did Introduction a few months ago and my very difficult uncle who is the last of his siblings was asked to handle the sending of Marriage List. He is now asking my fiance to pay over 100k for him to transport himself to the village to collect the list. He says it is tradition.
I have reached out to another uncle to try to reason with him but no one is doing anything about it.
I'm Ukwani from Ndokwa west and I don't believe this is how it is done. I have gone back to read about my culture and asked other people and someone said that the list can be gotten from any cyber cafe in the town. Please is this true?
I need advice as I do not want my uncle to take advantage of my fiance. All this is just to see the Marriage List before he now starts to pay for what is on the list.
I'm scared that he will inflate what is on the list too and no one will do anything about it. Lol. When we're tired of all these shenanigans, we'll say No. I'm sure them Gen-Z will do it. |

What's going on? Goodlady: What's the main cause of protest? Are there genuine evidence? Their president, a babe named Samia, decided to rig the election. She locked up opposition candidates and barred others from running. Then, like Saddam Hussein, she scored 98% of the vote (Saddam used to score 99%, but give madam her flowers, she try). So protesters (mostly Gen-Z, but including others), took to the streets. |
