Juliansamuel! Stop using me as an excuse, I didn’t insist it was a different eco,I only said it must have been sent to another eco, hence the delay. I only insisted that the application was treated individually despite the fact that you think it was scanned together, meaning the child’s application is being worked on separately from his dad, now let this issue rest, since you know the answer to your question, all is well now.

Thank you. This well explained and clear and well understood. But it's funny though if the child is given and d father isn't for example, how will the child travel? Funny people

if you might also be working as a visa officer and know all these then there’s no need asking the very 1st question you raised initially.... this is wat you asked

“Pls house, I still wanna ask. Why is it that when a family of like 2 or 3 apply especially family with kids sometimes their passports don't come out d same time? mind you, they did walk in, meaning they did biometrics same time.“

You said they are making further investigations that u know, same you again is asking us cry

Bros Pls calm down, that quoted part is an assumption, but suuz is making it sound as if it must be a different ECO whereas it could be either, that is d reason why I gave him that instance you quoted. You guys are too quick to pass insults indirectly. Calm down pls

You asked a question and you are arguing, if you read part 1 to 4, didn’t you see where a parent’s passport was out weeks before the child’s passport? or didn’t you see when the parents were given and child refused despite the child using his parent’s documentation?
Please don’t ask questions that you aren’t ready to accept the answer. EVERY child uses his parent’s documentation during visa application but the application is always treated separately.

P.S- The dad’s document doesn’t totally determine the child’s fate, the child also has his own documentation like his school admission letter, school fees receipt, letter from the child’s school, birth certificate, consent letter from the mother if the child is traveling with his father only. If any of these vital document isn’t part of the child’s application, the child will be refused. If you knew the answer to your question, why come on Nairaland to ask in the first place.

You don't understand the situation Pls, I didn't ask you in particular, you dont have to answer or reply me if you have to be rude. Pls keep your opinions if you can't be polite.

JulianSamuel surely you would have read instances where parents were given entry clearance and the child/children were denied and the parent came on here to ask if further documents should be presented and which of such documents.

or instances where visa of the father was out but the family was still waiting for a long time on the visa for the child and mother to be out... this highly suggests that maybe not the same officer handled all the applications.
This kindly suggests you just spoke without reading this part 4 sef.

You're not also getting the fact that the same exo can handle it and decide not to give one of them for certain reasons or circumstances, you aren't also getting the fact that d same ECO can still handle it and decide to make further investigations on one of them thereby releasing the ones he or she is satisfied with.

For your correction,i have read every single part more than once.

Were the passports packaged together? NO!
I’m sure it wasn’t so the application has been done individually. Read up this thread to get more enlightened. [/quotei

I have read part 1-4 . I still don't believe it is done individually because their documents were mixed and scanned together, even if passports aren't in the same pack cos it's d dad's documents that will determine the fate of the child's visa because child is still a minor.

That’s because each application was treated individually and not as a family, therefore, each application went to different eco and each eco has his own pace of working, hence the difference in decision making time.

That's not true sir. It's father and child and their documents were scanned together, the child is still a minor with just birth certificate and school fees receipt, how is now possible for it to be treated by different eco

Why is it that when a family apply for UK visa, some will be concluded and ready for collection while other family member will still be waiting for concluded email and collection email?

Skrskr:
Hi All.
Visa type: Visit (family)
Timeline: Biometric: sept 17
Concluded: October 6
Passport ready for pick up: October 15.
Outcome: Denied

I applied for a month's visit visa to visit my family - (my parents and brother). One of the reasons was to see them, while the other was for my moms graduation earlier this month.
My parents are citizens while my brother has a permanent residency.
I just picked up my application yesterday and it was denied due to 2 ridiculous reasons.
1. My sponsor (mom) does not have enough money in her joint account with my dad to donate 800 pounds to my flight which was mentioned in my application.
2. I do not have up to the money I claimed I had in my savings.

Now, I say the reasons were ridiculous because, I submitted two accounts for my sponsor (mom) as supporting documents:

1. Joint account with my dad which had 63 pounds balance, which was the one they checked. But the purpose of this was only to show my parents were married and share a joint account.

2. My moms personal account which had enough money about 4000pounds to cover the 800pounds flight cost.

So obviously, they only checked one account and did not check the main account and assumed she does not have any money of her own.

Secondly, in the form, I declared a savings of 7k pounds and I submitted my 3 bank accounts to support this.
They miraculously checked and mentioned only one bank account which had just 4k pounds in it.
And they claimed, the 4k was not up to the 7k savings I claimed.
For Gods sake, I submitted 3 personal bank accounts and 1 company account. They claimed I submitted 2 accounts, 1 for company and 1 personal with the 4k savings.

Also, I did write a brief but comprehensive cover letter detailing everything and the supporting documents attached.

I registered my company in May, and prior to that all business transactions have been going through my personal account. All these was explained, with proof of earnings and the source, but they obviously did not check and of that and only cherry picked what they want and made a decision that does not add up. They claimed I was self-employed, I am not self-employed. I am employed by my company and payslip of monthly salary of 360k per month was attached.

Also, they mentioned they are not satisfied my sponsor will provide financial support to me during my stay. I never said she would.
My mom is only contributing 800pounds to the budget of 2k pounds. The 800 was only for my flight (which isn't a cost I can't even handle myself, she only planned to do that as a gift). I also included in my cover letter than the rest of the travel expense (1.4k pounds) will be covered by me for accommodation and feeding as I planned to rent an hotel close to where they live.

Now, the thing is I am not desperate to go to the UK, I really don't care as it was just to visit my family, however, all the reasons they refused me for were incorrect.

Do you guys advise me to reapply immediately to contest the decision?

I am thinking if I leave it and apply at a later time, it may confirm their thinking that their decision was right and that I and mom really do not have the funds.

Secondly, if I reapply now, how can I ensure that they check all the documents I submitted especially since it is obvious that they do not check a lot of the supporting documents and cover letter? Where should I put the details they failed to check? If I put all this in another cover letter for the new application, what's to say they will check or not even refuse again?

I await your views.
Thanks a lot.

You can still go for assisted service. Just tell tell them you want assisted service once you enter the VAC, then you'll pay with your bank card. The agent is lying to you so as to collect your money.

Hello everyone. I am applying for the UK visit visa for my daughter and I but I want to know if the application form is different from the previous ones.

The application I made for myself, some regular questions aren't in the form like:

Cost to you personally for the trip?
How much is airplane tickets?
Cost of accommodation?
Cost of living expenses? Etc
I didn't find these questions in the form I'm filling, I hope I'm not filling a wrong application. Pls help

In my daughter's application, they are asking how much she spends monthly after I put she's a student, there's no option for Nil, am supposed to put a figure for Her? She's only 8.

I need urgent reply as I'm filling the forms, pls help house.

So sorry about your refusal.
What I feel is that the eco feels you have a good job that have produced you that kind of closing and opening balance but with such an amount of money, you didn't buy assets, you aren't married, then what are you saving such huge amount for.

Then you don't have friends or family in the UK, you are like a free person with nothing much to think about, so you can decide to inhabit anywhere you like. Although you have a job to come back to but I guess it isn't enough.

My advice is to buy a land, Treasury bill or something. It isn't compulsory or by force for you to get married cos of an application. If u live in a rented apartment, you should have put a tenacy agreement or maybe rent receipts.

All your documents were just and only from your job.

significant savings and financial assets what do they mean by that i submitted salary account statement with cash inflow and out flow opening balance of 4million cloising balance 5.6million and they denied me on probability. my country Nigeria. I have been working for over 5years. Although I have not visited and western country just South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, UAE.

Thanks a lot Cyberknight ,God bless you richly.
Cyberknight:

Short answer - you should submit evidence of the transactions that you have done which generated the income, as well as payment of tax on the income all of which goes to prove its legitimacy.

Secondly, in the future (or if you find it possible to postpone your application), separate your bank accounts. Reviewing the sources of applicants' funds is part of the UK ECOs' remit and if your transactions seem too intricate to them they might just give up and discard your matter. In other words, don't give them work.

I'm in the same situation with you - I have another source of income as well - and I make sure that goes into a separate account, and pay some tax on it, and present both statements when applying for visas.

Thirdly, there's nothing wrong with your income from business exceeding that from employment; people remain in employment for various reasons in such situations, could be security, the desire to remain active, or to maintain a career, etc.

Lastly, sometimes, when you know that you're going to have to send in applications to difficult bureaucracies such as the UK Home Office, it is worth starting to prepare in advance of the application proper by sorting out financials and other paperwork well ahead of the 6 months bank statement period. I'm planning to apply in January next year and I've been keeping an eye on this thread since around June just in case, because as you may know, the UK is now determined to match the U.S. in terms of strictness in issuing visas and is sometimes rejecting people who tick all the boxes otherwise.

That is not even the bone of contention as its a scenario that I only understands and I have an explanation for that. My question is about CAC certificate and tax which you didn't answer. At least help answer the one I asked first before looking at another thing.
And of course, I cannot control my transactions with customers and beg them not to buy from me cos I don't want my gain to superceed my salary.

If i am a visa officer, i would query 70% of your earnings coming from your side business while only 30% comes from your day job.

Please look at your packaging again.

Someone should please respond,. Justwise, ekpotec,
CyberKnight and co

Hello guys, Pls I'm here again.

I have a permanent job with all the necessary documents and statements to back it up.

I also have a side business that I do which is important for me to include in application because that's where 70% of my savings come from.

I have a current account that shows my salary
I also have a savings account that I transfer my salary to and any money I make from my business which is where the money for my vacation is coming out from.

I have CAC registration for my business.
Someone mentioned here that if you have registered your business but do not have tax clearance, then there's no point to submit the CAC registration at all.
How true is that and won't it affect the application even after explaining it in the cover letter.

I'll await your responses. Thank you.
Hello justwise, ekpotec and the Otha gurus in the house.
I want to apply for my daughter and I to visit the UK for Xmas vacation and also a friend has invited my daughter and I for his daughter's birthday party coming up same December.

He is not sponsoring us, i am sponsoring the whole trip and also booking a hotel. He's only sending an invite for the birthday.

My question is, since he won't be sponsoring anything at all, what document is he to send to us to take to d embassy?
We are spending just 7days.
I'll await your responses. Thank you .
