Befulfilled: My head is not thinking right right now cos I'm going through a lot. I was in dire need of money for hospital bill when someone sent me some money due to my cries. Using ATM to withdraw it, I was debited but not dispensed. Going to 3 months now, the bank has not refunded. That money was to save a life but bank played politics with it.
What are my chances if I sue them for damages?
Just look for a reputable law firm..una share the money 60:40 the firm 60 you forty sue for 200m. Come back and thank us later. But you tell the firm say pay after service na why their share large. Na form of investment.
presidency: The Ministry of Mines and Steel Development launched the Made in Nigeria Barite in Port Harcourt, as part of its’ modest efforts towards the development of industrial minerals. This initiative is expected to spur the promotion and growth of local content, boosting the economy with a corresponding increase in revenue.
The initiative would not only put Nigeria on the radar of the global mining communities, but would also save the country about $300 million in annual importation costs, thereby creating employment opportunities for the teeming population.
The Ministry will also commission an open marketplace portal that will connect all stakeholders along the barite value chain to a hub that allows for easy coordination, stocking, effective costing, and seamless sale of barite, as we adhere to the ease of doing business initiative.
Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite, Honourable Minister, Ministry of Mines and Steel Development
This is how a country develops use the God given resources and make things you citizens and other nations need thus creating jobs and improving standard of living. We need to develop the steel industry too. That Ajaokuta project should be revived and let dangote refinery be supported..we are gradually getting there Naira is gradually improving too but we are not yet there and food is still expensive for the common man..electricity seems to be available dont know about other parts of the country but it's kinda expensive.
We’ll untangle the confusing, difficult, and unclear position of Nigeria’s most educated tribe below. Below is the list of the most educated tribes in Nigeria.
10. Isoko This is a lesser-known minority group from the Niger Delta region that is actually well-educated. The Isoko people are an ethnic or cultural group who live in the Delta and Bayelsa states of Nigeria. They are a people from southern Nigeria, near the Niger delta in the northwestern part of the country. The 36 states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria include Delta State and Bayelsa State. There are noteworthy people in the education field, and the tribe is among Nigeria’s top ten most educated tribes.
9. Ibibio The Ibibio are a group of people from southern Nigeria who live along the coast. They are predominantly located in the states of Akwa Ibom and Cross River; they are also from the Niger Delta region and are among the country’s most educated tribes.
They are linked to the Efik and Annang Igbo peoples. During Nigeria’s colonial period, the Ibibio Union petitioned the British for recognition as an independent nation. 8. Calabar Calabar is a port city near the Cameroon border in southern Nigeria. Cross River State’s capital is located on a hill near the Calabar River and the Cross River delta. The city’s older portions, such as Henshaw Town, Duke Town, and the waterfront area, are filled with British colonial architecture. Duke Town Cathedral is one of Nigeria’s oldest cathedrals, dating back to the 19th century. The river may be seen from the surrounding cemetery. Calabar is ranked number eight on our list.
Although the comedic accent portrayed in Nollywood films has raised some doubt. We have a lot of educated Calabar folks who don’t have awful intonation.
7. Ijaw The Ijaw people live in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, in the states of Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Ondo, and Rivers. As migratory fishers, they can be found in camps as far west as Sierra Leone and as far east as Gabon. The Ijaws have a population of 3.7 million people, according to various estimates. This group of people includes educated individuals. Through education, Ijaw people seek knowledge, self-improvement, and self-development. Ijaw has a significant number of educated people; suffice it to say, the tribe is among Nigeria’s most educated.
6. Itsekiri The Itsekiri are a Yoruba subgroup from Delta State in Nigeria’s Niger Delta. The Itsekiris are people who live largely in the Delta State local government districts of Warri South, Warri North, and Warri southwest on Nigeria’s Atlantic coast. This is one of Nigeria’s most well-educated tribes.
The Tribes listed above are remarkable for having a large number of educated members. They are thought to be among the Top 10 Tribes in Nigeria with the most educated individuals, according to studies.
5. Urhobo The Urhobos are people who live in southern Nigeria, near the Niger Delta in the northwest. The Urhobo ethnic group is the largest ethnic group in Delta State, one of Nigeria’s 36 states. The Urhobo language is spoken by the Urhobos. Rather than a location, the term Urhobo refers to a group of people. This group is well-educated and enters pastoral ministry, which means they have a higher level of influence over their followers.
4. Edo Edo State is one of the Nigerian states, located in the country’s southern portion. When it comes to civilization, the Edo tribe is one of the most civilized in the country, owing to their high rate of illegal migration to other countries and other factors.
Someone can, nevertheless, claim to be cultured but uneducated. The Edo people are cultured and educated and can be considered among the country’s best-educated. Benin Metropolis, the state capital, and largest city in Nigeria’s fourth-largest city and the heart of the country’s rubber industry. The Edo people are Nigeria’s most educated tribe. Edo people can be found in almost every field. You’d be hard-pressed to find an Edo man who isn’t educated.
3. Hausa people For Hausa tribes, I remove the cap. This tribe is among Nigeria’s most well-educated. Look about you and you’ll notice plenty of reasons why they should be ranked third. The Hausa people are the most powerful in politics. They understand politics, and leadership requires educated individuals. There are as many educated Hausas as there are illiterates in Hausa land, but the educated Hausas and their output outnumber the illiterates.
2. Igbo People When it comes to Nigeria’s educated tribes, this group is the talk of the town. Academically and economically, the Igbo people are fortunate. Take it from me: an Igbo man in business is just like an Igbo man in school. He is hardworking and successful. Igbo people also have high number of graduates, learned people, and so on.
1. Yoruba Yorubas are Nigeria’s most educated tribe. Yoruba people have a reputation for being in top positions. This indicates that they are well-educated. Education is the only way to become a senior executive in a large corporation where the Yoruba tribe is dominant. In Nigeria, the Yoruba people were the first to adopt western education, which caused them to recognize the importance of education early on. They are Nigeria’s most educated tribe.
Lol...that is why we would continue to live in the shadows of the white man. What's the use of education when you cant solve the immediate needs of your community. We have book knowledge but an educated man is meant to solve problems and not to cram and poor or use the so called position for personal aggrandizement. Nigerian simply needed to use the white mans education and streamline it with our own uniqueness. Now anything african/Nigerian is termed old school or not modernized rubbing us of our rich heritage..what do we get in return..diabetes, obesity, cancer, hypertension. In my view you are not really educated until you begin to solve the felt need in your locale.
Jubril..no worry them go call you back if e trend for their news your own don better at least you don do PR say no be every UARIANS be scammer. The jubril wey I sabi dey always dey calm and na them dey sell suya or fry bread and egg for road!!
Ezebinaugwu: Without any doubt, travelling by flight is one of the safest and quickest means of transportation. Flying in a private jet is even better because it gives you more control over your time and promises more flexibility, unlike commercial flights. Private jets are expensive and very few Nigerians are able to afford one. The good news is that you don’t need to buy a private jet before you can feel the soothing experience of flying in one. Various companies offer private jets for charter and this is much easier and affordable if you have the money. It's hard to put a fixed price on a private jet charter in Nigeria. In fact, most charter companies don’t put a fixed rate as various factors determine the cost of the charter. The common factors are;
Location Distance of the flight Passenger capacity Timings Aircraft size and type Usually, the cost is often calculated per hour. This is because flights within states in Nigeria are often between 40mins – 1 hour. On average, you will need about $3,000-$6,000 to charter a private jet per hour in Nigeria. That’s about 1.5-3 million NGN to enjoy the comfort of a private jet. Private jet charter companies are strategically located in various places especially in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano etc.
Important Facts About Private Jet Charter In Nigeria Before you make that decision to charter a private jet in Nigeria, here are a few things you need to know;
Airlines. They often operate based on the needs of the clients. You can come along with your pets if you are using a private jet. However, pets will only be accepted if you come with the necessary documentation.
Private jets charter companies prefer payments to be made in US dollars. However, naira payment is also accepted. You can pay with your MasterCard, Credit/Debit cards etc.
Unless you are going on an international flight, you don’t necessarily need to travel with your International passport. Notwithstanding, it’s always advisable you go with a valid means of identification on any flight trips you embark on. You will have to pay an extra cost if your location is far from the base of the jet. This extra cost named repositioning cost’ will be added to your total bill.
Refreshments are usually served to clients onboard in a private jet. Oftentimes, these refreshments are much better than those of commercial flights.
You can charter a private jet from Nigeria to other countries. Some charter companies offer jets to other countries like different countries in the world located in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, America and the Middle East.
When chartering a private jet, it’s wise that you go for companies with new jets or those with jets licensed by the Nigerian Corporate Civil Aviation Authority of Nigeria (NCAA). Most of the top private jet charter companies in Nigeria manage different aircraft and would adjust in order to meet your budget. Popular private jets used in Nigeria include the Bombardier, Challenger 605, Hawker 800XP/ Beechcraft, Dassault Falcon, Cessna, Embraer Legacy 600 650, Falcon 900DX Etc.

Daniel7543: Good day nairalanders. I'll be brief. Please pardon my typo errors, I'm not a good writer.
I live in a 2 bedroom flat apartment here in Benin city. I live alone, I'm a very neat guy inside out. Infact you can eat comfortably in my toilet . I wash my toilet almost everyday.
My girlfriend and I have been dating for almost 2 years now. She's from Uromi, Edo state. She's so kind, caring and beautiful. Infact, I want my unborn kids to look exactly like her. She also live here in Benin city with her parents and they're well to do. Most times we spend the weekend together.
But the issue I'm having with her is that whenever she make use of the toilet (especially poo) she don't flush, there's always water running in my flat 24/7. I have talked to her severally but she will always say..."she's sorry, that she forgot". Since we've been dating for almost 2 years now I have flushed 90% of her poo, she's not willing to change. The last time we quarreled seriously about this issue was last month, Infact I ended up apologizing just because I tried to correct her.
She came over to my house after her grandfather's funeral, same thing happened again and i was like..."is this how you went to disgrace yourself at your family's house in Uromi?“... She got angry and started yelling at me. I just have to apologize.
What happened today really got me angry. Please note. I don't really make use of the visitor's toilet because the master's room has it own toilet/bathroom which is my room. But i do wash the visitor's toilet once in a while even when nobody is using it.
So my friends came over to my house, we were all drinking, gisting and watching a football match, one of my friend wanted to urinate in the visitors toilet, the moment he entered the toilet, he came out immediately shouting...."Danny na wa for you o, u nor Sabi flush".... When I saw it mehn.. It was irritating. I knew my girlfriend did it when she came over last weekend. I was so ashamed. I just had to lie it was my little cousins that must have mess up the toilet when they came to visit during the week. My friends respect her so much and I don't want them to loose that respect for her.
Please nairalanders, how can I talk to her to stop this habit??. I'm really down and I've tried but my best is not enough. I love this girl so much. Please Help.
Lala
I dont understand the apologies..like why na? Tell am say e no gel..

Have you ever wondered how 419 started...it was from stranded brilliant/smart Nigerian youths who were on scholarships on foreign soil and whose funding was suddenly stopped by the Nigerian govt leaving them to roast. If this gal wasnt enterprising she would have wasted her years with nothing to show for it.
A beautful nigerian lady has shared via tiktok how she was able to finish her university education in a Canadian university, 7 years after the Nigerian government stopped her scholarship.
According to lady who will be graduating this month, she arrived the North American country in 2012 on a $40k scholarship which increases every year, but two years after she started off her education and with three years to go, she got an email telling her that the scholarship has been stopped and she has a day to respond and book a return flight back to Nigeria.
According to her, this happened when her tuition was already $60k. The social media user said she started off a food and clothing business which allowed her move into her own apartment.
The lady who will be graduating on November 18 and has already gotten her first job, added that what seemed to be far is now here.
obembet: At 23 I got married immediately after my first degree. Had my first kid at 24, got a master's degree in my area of study, yet without a job. My ex was doing well in his business and he carried all the financial responsibilities of our home while I shoulder all the manual work; ranging from cooking, laundry, cleaning, buying groceries, making sure that every bills are paid, school runs, etc. All he does is to provide the money to carry all of those. I'm all- must -be -tidy kind of person so I made sure to maintain that.
I'll make sure I keep the house clean, prepare his favorite meals which I do by following the meal time table cos he loves three different meals for each day. Most times he will come back with a different meal to be prepared for him after I must have made dinner. This must be accompanied with fruits or nuts to crack, extract, slice and serve. As this continued I became perplex and may complain but he never listened or appreciated all my efforts.
As years come by our population increased and I begged him to buy a washing machine. This is a no go area as he believes it makes one lazy. After much begging and no compliance for about two years I stopped washing his main clothes, but washed only his inner wears. I saved some money and got myself one. He was happy I did so and gave me 25% of the amount I bought it. I later learnt that that was a bribe to start washing his clothes again. All my married life I never had a full house help. His relatives will come, stay for some time and leave. Even while they're still around I prefer to do some things myself for some reasons.
Now this is my round the clock non paid job from from year to year. I'll wake up by 4:00 am to prepare children's snacks or meal for school, wake everyone up by 5:00 am for morning prayers, bath the children and at the same time have clothes rolling in the machine while breakfast sits on fire simultaneously. By 7:15 am I'm with the children on the road to school. Keeps them at school and gets back home to continue the outstanding works. I may come back to meet ex still sleeping or brushing his teeth. I will serve breakfast, help him choose his day wear and most times look for one document or car keys.
I tried to get a teaching job which can help me continue my “rat race” at home. None of them lasted for more than four months, reasons I couldn't figure out till today cos I believe I'm very good at that.
By the time I could say “ehee, time to rest” it's already 3 to 4 pm, time to get the children back from school. Preparing dinner, helping in homework, correcting complains from teachers if there's any, bathing and feeding them. Sometimes I still find time to play and tell stories with the kids. I buy everybody's wears including ex's, especially during festive periods. I guess that's the only time I have to get new things for myself. It never bothered me cos I'm happy putting smiles in the faces of people around me. I'm always preparing home-made groceries cos I'm good at most of them.
I could remember vividly a friend advising me on improving in my outward appearance which I gave little attention to.
By the time I'll retire to bed, it's already 11 or 12:00 midnight. And so it continues.
I never received any form of appreciation; either in kind or in cash. And to worsen it all, he became so abusive; verbally, physically, emotionally and would complain and blame me in every misfortune of his life. Life was so terrible living with him. Yet, I did not complain until he pushed me out and finally left.
Most times we focus all our energy into building our homes, that is wonderful, thereby neglecting ourselves which should come first, it's not being selfish. I celebrate every member of my family every year but I was never celebrated for the thirteen years we lived together. After reading a book, “what kids need most in a mom” by a retired white nurse; Patricia Standforth, I started changing my status but things have started going sour in my marriage and I was kicked out by hubby. He got a nullification note from the church, refused me access to the children, etc. Though I'm working towards getting a civil divorce from the court.
It's been two years now and alot of people could not believe it when they meet me, as a mother of five who's so young looking, energetic and sophisticated. I've got a lot of space and time to travel, learn new things, meet new friends and recently working towards getting an MBA.
And more importantly, I wouldn't want to be seen where I was left.

I av questions for this lady even though I know its copy and paste 1) dont you av family members who watch out for you..who talk sense into your head where you are about going astray 2) are you pitying your parents at all why waste their money if you dont want to be an employee you can be an employer..even freelance jobs now exists 3) why did you loose yourself?, you stopped taking care of yourself.. you need to look good to keep your being attractive to your husband and feel good about yourself
shortgun: You have valid points brother, I also tot in the same line but the police officers that detained him told me that most bike riders who get bikes on hire purchase will always come up which such stories so that they will not pay the profit you are supposed to make from the hire purchase, they will end up paying only the capital once they tell you the bike is stolen. I still see the guy riding another bike around my estate....this is a guy who told me before I got him the bike that he couldn't get a bike anywhere.
kannex: Please i will be needing a cold room in my kitchen for storing meat, fish etc so i want to know how much it will cost me to build a cool room in my kitchen. Please dont ask me to buy freezer because i already have.
Thanks in advance
Why do u want a cold room in your house are you feeding a village?
We are at the mercy of oil prices..tossed about by the wind. Anywhere belle face. We cant continue like dis..we need REALgrowth. What makes it different from previous regimes?
shortgun: There's a reason the street saying "fear who no get" will always remain valid till the end of the world. There's this mentality that poor people have, once you go into any business transaction with them they will think you have more than enough and will look for ways to cheat you and collect from the " inexhaustible" money that you have stockpiled somewhere. To them you have plenty money and losing a couple of thousands or millions won't hurt you in anyway.
They will see you as wicked or greedy when you try to recover even your capital from them not to talk of profits. I've learnt this with poor people long ago but still continued to transact with them thinking they can't all be the same. The last incident that happened made me to decide not to ever do anything business or transaction with people " wey no get" cos indeed you need to fear them.
There's a man that works as a bartender in one joint close to my residence that I use to chill. This young man is married with a kid, I liked his dedication to his work and used to admire him and we became close. He told me about his desire to own a motor bike so that he can quit the beer parlor job...due to the constant insults from his madam and his zeal to have a better life.
He said if he sees anyone that will buy him even a second hand bike on hire purchase, he will repay the money under 8 months and start off his life from there. I was really impressed by his commitment to a better life. I didn't give him any response or say anything to him that day but took his number.
The next day, I called him to come to my house and he did. When he came I showed him a brand new bike I bought for him and told him to take it and pay me weekly until he completes the payment with a little profit for me, I made him understand that there's no free money anywhere, he has to work to his way to financial progress.
The young man was shocked and speechless, he said he didn't believe I will buy him a bike not to talk of a brand new one for that matter, he said we are not even from the same state. He told me stories of how he had approached his rich relatives for the same opportunity but they keep giving him false hopes. He thanked me and drove away with the bike...he couldn't even get a worthy guarantor to stand in as surety for him for the hire purchase agreement...he called several of his relatives and it was one story to another. I told him to go with the bike without a guarantor cos I know how some relatives will not want to take responsibility when you fail, especially when you take steps they think is bigger than you.
He remitted the agreed amount for 2 weeks and told me stories on the last day of the 3rd week, how he took ill and can't meet up and promised to work harder the next week to make up for the lost week. On the 4th week he came to my house in the morning and told me tales of how the bike was snatched from him at gun point the previous day. I asked him if reported to the police and he said no.
I took him to the station for him to report the stolen bike and he was detained. Later his people came and wrote undertaking to pay up the value for the bike in 8 months, the police officers objected saying it was too far but I told them to allow it.
It's been more than 10 months now and I've not recovered my money... almost 300k for the bike not to talk of profits. I have several similar bad experiences with poor people but this one finally sealed my heart not to render any help or enter into any business deal with persons who are struggling to survive.
People will tell you of their rich uncles who have refused to help them but non of them knows or will tell you how many times their rich uncles lost money trying to lift poor relatives or friends.
Respect who get but fear who never collect!! What happened might actually not be his fault..I once met a bike man who a passenger he carried connived with another guy to lure him to a deserted area in form of going to his destination and the passengers partner in crime was waiting for him in the deserted area. Where they planned to ambush the bike rider and the beat up the rider and snatched his bike. Now this could happen even on the first day of handing the bike to him and could also have happened even after he completes the purchase agreement. In the business world you cant really predict some happenings. Like the man who collected loan to build that collapsed building am sure he was already counting his profits before realising them but a collapsed building was about to happen now the banks and investors who believed in him would be regretting now. The ones who made part payment will also be regretting now imagine there is no insurance the money is gone. To the bike rider may be life happened to him or he is indebted to someone and they seized the bike, may be he was actually robbed, maybe he sold the bike to settle an urgent bill you cant tell.
