PoliticsRe: For A Country That Does Not Have Much Resources, Uk Is A Rich Country. How ? by Justcash(m): 3:00pm On Feb 06, 2011
UK is a bit  understandable. They once dominated the world, so they leveraged on that. The Country that makes me wanna cry for Nigeria is Singapore. They have nothing. When I say nothing, I mean nothing. Population (people) and natural resources (They import water) are all lacking in that country, but they are very very developed. So developed that even the British and Americans abandon their countries to become their citizens. Each time I visit that country, I weep for my resource rich country. Even if it is about size, why can't Nigeria be categorized with countries like China, Malaysia, Brazil or even India. Instead we are competing with Somalia, Rwanda and co. Na wa o!
My Dad was born and bred in Lagos, my Mum, in Zaria. I was born and bred in Benin and have lived the past ten years in Port-Harcourt. But my state of origin reads Delta state, a state I have not spent  up to a 100 hours in since I was born. How can that be my state of origin especially since the only thing I know about Delta state is that my Grandparents were born there and Uduaghan is the Governor. Seriously am I really a Deltan? Should I register and vote in a state I do not even benefit or contribute to? If it is not right to involve in the politics of a place that I do not live in, where else then can I vote and most importantly be voted for?
FORGET ALL THESE LONG STORIES FROM NAIRALANDERS. YOU ARE FROM DELTA STATE. YOU DON'T NEED TO SPEAK ANY DELTA LANGUAGE TO BE IDENTIFIED AS A DELTAN. ALL OTHER PLACES YOU STAYED IN ARE NOT YOUR STATES OF ORIGIN. FOR INSTANCE, YOU CAN NEVER BE A GOVERNOR IN ANY OF THOSE STATES. YOU WILL BE TREATED AS A FOREIGNER IN THOSE STATES WHEN IT COMES TO THAT. YOU CAN ONLY BE WELCOMED TO LEAD AS A GOVERNOR IN DELTA STATE, SINCE YOUR ROOTS CAN BE TRACED THERE.
DON'T DECEIVE YOURSELF. IF IT IS ABOUT INEC REGISTRATION, YOU CAN REGISTER ANYWHERE. BUT WHEN IT HAS TO DO WITH YOU CONTESTING FOR ANYTHING, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME CONTESTING IN ANOTHER STATE, BECAUSE NOBODY CARES IF YOU WERE BORN THERE OR NOT.ALL THEY WANT TO KNOW IS IF YOU ARE A SON-OF THE SOIL. THAT IS THE REALITY ON GROUND.

How can you be DIE-HARD for someone whose resume remains BLANK in much of the criticals and you admit does not seem capable? Why not use your head a bit more instead of your heart when it comes to selecting your leaders??

What else do you want him to do? He has sent JTF .i.e. Policemen and soldiers into Plateau state. It is left for the them to do their job. Is there no governor in Plateau state? The governor should collaborate with the JTF to fish out the murderers as was the case in Abia state. GEJ cannot just act like a despot or Dictator. He got the National assembly and Judiciary to counter his actions. Ironically, If he acts brutally, it is people like you that will be the first to call him a clueless leader. Did y'all not call him an animal  for using force against the Niger-delta militants? What was the reaction like when a whole village was razed by JTF in Niger-delta? They said soldiers were collaborating with Fulani herdsmen, he quickly ensured that a new set of soldiers were brought into the state. I am sure if you were in the same position as him, you'll actually not know what to do.

Call your brother in law this moment, and tell him to leave Ivory coast. His wife and Daughters may be raped and killed, and he may be killed too with his sons. It has happened before. The FG will then start to act after you'v lost them. They will never remember them for anything. No memorial, Nothing. E don happen before.

Any Nigerian that decides to remain there should not expect to be pitied when they are attacked. Leave Ivory coast for your own safety. You will be killed. Trust the FGN, they will only talk and not act.

So last year's insults were not insults. I bet you are recharging for this year's round of insult.
I just came to tell you to desist from insulting Igbos. That your Silly "Good morining" is an insult, because it came from an individual that is still deeply asleep. When you wake, then Igbos can gladly accept your good morning.

It is one thing to love Igbo people, it is another thing to be an Igboman. Which one are you. If you are indeed Igbo, you must desist from insulting Igbos like you have always done with an excuse of being half Igbo and Half Hausa. From the history of your contribution in Nairaland, I discovered that Your Verbal disposition contradicts you utterance about being an Igboman that loves Igbo people, hence my conclusion that you are either an "Efulefu" or an Impersonator. Efulefus and impersonators deserve to exist in hell.

PoliticsRe: Ndigbo In The Fourth Republic by Justcash(m): 7:43am On Jan 30, 2011
PhysicsMHD:
1. There are lots of Ijaws in what was the Western region of Nigeria. I think asserting this idea of "Easterners" including Ijaws naturally when they might be a nation all on their own is not entirely accurate or honest. Wouldn't Ijaws in the East still have more in common with Ijaws in the West than they would have in common with other Easterners?

2. The "South- South" scheme seems to have Igbo, not Northern, origins: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-561386.0.html

My point is that there is need to divide Nigeria. Let people choose their destinies. We cannot be tied down because Abokis needs to catch up.
If the South South decides that they want to be on their own, then why not? Igbos won't force them. Same with mid-belt and mid-westerners. But fact remains that we need to have the right to exercise how we want to exist before progress can be experienced.
Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan is visibly Ijaw, yet with some sign of Igbo in him. So, If he has some Igbo blood flowing in him, then he is Igbo too. That is my point. Peter Odili is Igbo, but he is called a South Southerner.
There is need for Nigeria to divide into different parts. Until we do that, there will be no progress. It will continue to be 1 step forward, 50 steps backwards.
PoliticsRe: Ndigbo In The Fourth Republic by Justcash(m): 7:02am On Jan 30, 2011
You guys are getting it so wrong. What Igbos, and Easterners in general (Forget the freaking South south nonsense) need is outright separation from Nigeria as a nation. A nation of 50 million people, with less diversity in terms of culture will be easier to manage and control. This is not about resources, it is about having the political will, passion and chance to move a nation forward. The North, East and West are entirely different nations. They are naturally meant to exist on their own. This is why there will never be progress until Nigeria allows nature to take it's course.
Igbo presidency or Ijaw presidency will solve nothing. They are all the same set of politicians that can turn an Aboki dominated army on their people, if there is a protest against them. Look at what is happening in Egypt and compare it to what is happening in Jos. In Egypt, the police and military exercise alot of restraint when dealing with protesters. In Jos, Bornu, Maiduguri etc, the military and police aid their ethnic people to slaughter the Beroms, Igbos and Yorubas like rams. Will an Oduduwa army embark on a slaughtering spree in an Odudwa republic because their countrymen are protesting? Well, I know that a Biafran military will not kill Biafrans for carrying placards in the streets.
Igbos and Ijaws are Easterners (Going by the original arrangement of Nigeria). So, an Ijaw holding power is equal to an Igbo holding power. The simple reason why the Aboki politicians are restless is because their "South-South" Scheme used to divide Eastern Nigeria is working against them now.
Nigeria needs to divide simple and short.

PoliticsTinubu's Despotism During ACN's Primaries: Is Acn Better Than Pdp? by Justcash(op): 10:22am On Jan 26, 2011
Yes, PDP is damn messed up, but I don't think ACN is better than PDP. As a matter of fact, I think ACN will be worse than PDP if they gain more political advantage.
They have not even gotten the political relevance that they are seeking for, yet they have shown how undemocratic and totalitarian they can be. Imagine how people were selected like class prefects. What sort of rubbish is that?

Tinubu is actually trying to impose his Wife, Daughter and Son-in-law on Nigerians. Is this the type of leadership that Nigerians deserve? No shame at all.
In fact I am sure that they are using Ribadu to ensure that they take over the presidential position. As soon as they achieve that, Tinubu may make his way into that position and become another Mugabe in Africa. That guy is very shameless.

I am disappointed with the type of political big wigs that we have in Nigeria.

Thank God for APGA and other smaller parties. At least there is a little hope.
BusinessRe: Importing Fairly Used Items by Justcash(m): 10:07am On Jan 23, 2011
becky4real:
Hello Nairalanders
Please I'm into first grade fairly used items like children's things (toys, cars, bikes, toddlers etc), bags, shoes (both men and ladies), jewelries etc. I buy from people who import, and then resell with a small profit margin.

Now I want to step up and start importing on my own. I've tried several times to find out their source and how they get them into the country but they declined to tell me so that I don't go there and buy cheaper than what they sell to me.
Please I need an experienced, matured, well-connected and business minded Nairalanders to advise me on which country to source for these items from. I know some get from UK but I don’t know the exact place in UK

I thank God that I have nairaland, a forum where i can get well-meaning Nigerians who have toured all over the world in search of businesses. I believe that a well-meaning number of them have bumped into a place where I can get them cheap.
I just bumped into this.
Don't you think that getting em from UK will be expensive?
You can get em quite cheap in Asia. Most of such products in UK are made in Asia. There are also several established supply links between Asia and Nigeria.
By Asia, I don't mean only China. I'm talking of places like Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand etc in S.E Asia. Atleast their quality standard is comparable to that of UK. You can carry out a research and find out.
You can send a mail to michael@stmarcelsent.com if you need some advise. I bet you can get better advise from them for free.

I saw this late;

Redstone:
Bro,

There is no such thing as St. Marcels enterprises, and from what I see from the website, you just drew me to your blog so you can earn point, please tell people the real truth in business and not deceive Nigeians. get some really deals. Your St. Marcels enterprises does not conote any serious business dealing to be able to pay anyone $350 dollars per deal. So burst it.
St. Marcels enterprises is a genuine Nigerian company that is registered under the CAC of Nigeria. It is also registered in other Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia, China etc. It was registered in Nigeria by a group of manufacturers based in Asia as an enterprise in 2009 and has been conducting business since then. We are not yet a major player in international trade business, but We are moving towards that direction.
St. Marcels enterprises has an established linkage with major product manufacturers both in electronics, fashion, industrial machines etc. We are looking for Nigerian agents to employ on a part-time basis to utilize the huge supply potential in Nigeria, hence this advert.
About your statement concerning our inability to pay USD$350, what is your basis for such a ridiculous statement?
It is not compulsory that you must apply, and if you are not applying don't discourage others from applying. If you are unemployed, and wants to apply, then apply. If we don't pay you, you can go ahead and shout it to the hearing of the whole of this world. Since you have not tried us out, then you will do us alot of good by desisting from your laughable statement, that could make genuinely interested people to get discouraged from applying.
We are definitely clapping at your ability to identify serious businesses. The only problem is that it is extremely "Myopic".
FYI: This not an explanation to you, it is meant to assure interested people that they definitely have a genuine chance of being successful in life through this venture.
PoliticsRe: Nnewi City: Abandoned And Neglected! by Justcash(m): 6:55am On Jan 21, 2011
Nnewi is a potential Japan of Nigeria and Africa.  That place should be the technological heartbeat of Nigeria. If Nigeria was not as frustrating as it is, I would have been doing my business in Nnewi. It is an amazing place, but sadly neglected in the farce called Nigeria.
The dum'b-as's "Victors" after the war should have leveraged on the technological might of Biafran engineers to steer up development. Unfortunately, their Nigerian brains told them that the best way to deal with the engineers is to make them hopeless and frustrated. Many fled to other countries, and are making waves there. Others that couldn't flee were left to regret, in places like Nnewi and Awka, for ever showing off their talents to the Ewus, Nkpis and Namas that were posing as victors. Even Americans, Russians, Suicidal Japanese and Brutal Russians were intelligent enough to know of the act of leveraging from the talents gotten from defeated enemies of war. Little wonder why those countries are way ahead of Nigeria long dominated by the dum'b Civil war Victors.
Very disappointing. Makes me wish Biafra had succeeded. I am very convinced that Nigeria would have been buying Cars, Military wares, Aeroplanes etc from Biafra by now. I am so sure because Places like Nnewi and Awka would have been well utilized.

I am asking this question because of what is happening in that region politically. Let me just give some instances here

1999-2007 the office of the Senate president was zoned to the Igbos and how many did we have? you do the math
2007-till date the office of the PDP chairmanship si zoned to the same Igbos how many already and still counting,  Is it that there is no unity or trust among the igbos? and how are we sure if they have the presidency, they will  not go the same path? just asking sha.

It is the Political orientation of Igbos. If you are not performing well as a leader, you'd be booted out without pity. Most of the leaders that were booted out were found wanting, and were legally booted out. It's not like they were assassinated. If other Nigerian groups had this attitude, alot would have changed in Nigeria. Look at Dimeji Bankole (Who thinks that he is untouchable), does he deserve to remain as the leader of the house of assembly? He deserves to be booted out. He has failed severely. Ken Nnamani turned out to become the senate president after Pius anyim was booted out. I am sure that you saw how humble, fair and result -oriented he stayed to remain in that post till the end. Moreover, booting out politicians found wanting is not a sign of dis-unity.
