xin5: Man your so depressed and fustrated about life generally. I can sense your bad energy from a mile away oozing from this unwarranted attack gosh. because I see no reason for this your response to my post when all I just did was to come here and ask to know the truth.
Take your frustrations else where bro Because at this stage you are nothing else can help you.
You see, you could have been a little more civil in asking. Your choice of words was wrong on all levels, uncouth, denigrating and disrespectful. Imagine your sisters husband to be came on social media to ask these "harmless" questions, calling your union a possible scam, and remembering to bring your unmarried elder brother into the story. You may not meant to, but it wouldn't hurt any less if your bride-to-be saw this.
A Nigerian took to social media to call out Wole Soyinka on his attack on the Labour Party Presidential Candidate for 2023, His Excellency Peter Obi.
In a 4-minute video, Ife Salako, who identifies as an Obidient, with a view of showing the hypocrisy in the Professor's words, beamed the light on some of the 'physically aggressive' and 'criminally minded' supporters the octogenarian shares a support base with.
He also touched on the life Wole Soyinka himself lived as a youth dissatisfied with the country, and the role played by cultism which he played a role in sowing the seeds in Nigeria.
Ife went on to suggest that the Professor's age may have inspired such 'juvenile' approach to issues and admonished him to not ruin the country further.
rotadeco27: I met recently someone very close to him in my clinic, he said with all sincerity Tinubu intentions to make this nation work. There are whole lots of things we do not know that is why we say most of the things we say. I sincerely regretted campaigning against him in the last election. Nigeria needs sincere leader like him at this point and not a palliator that will be packaging a failing nation to get cheap accolades. The country is undergoing what I termed economic debridements which comes with pains and bledding, but by the time the nation recovers , she will be 1st in Africa as Lagos is always 1st in progress. Some people built America, we must build own nation too.
God bless you. We can make Nigeria great in our generation.
In my opinion, extraditing him is not the primary issue, how did he escape? Have we heard the last of those who helped him evade questioning? I will sleep better knowing those who aided in his escape are identified and publicly prosecuted
navyseal2220: Stop blaming these deaths on drug expiration. This has nothing to do with drug expiration. Most drugs are still safe and effective even after 5 or 10yrs shelf life, it may not be as potent but still safe. Now what's killing these people is counterfeit drugs, people manufacturing poisons and selling them.
I am happy and hopeful when I read responses as yours. It is really sad that we've completely sacrificed our abilities for critical reasoning on the dual alters of religion and tribalism (deadly combo). I just went through your submission on the possibility of Oduduwa being a fallen angel. It would be an interesting topic of discourse. God bless you Sir.
Cindypresh: Op it's "while" not why... meanwhile men are not the only ones combing forests and seeking information.
Women do too
Cindy, You sounded very condescending, you could tell from the very first line of his submission that the thread tittle was an innocent error. And this was no gender war.
DEXTROVERT: This Will result to Policy summersault
Many Will Now Run To Parallel market
So As The Demand for parallel dollar increase The price goes up.
It would have been better To divert parallel market customers to bank Where they get dollars at official rate. So few will patronize them
For example, with POS everywhere, we don't go to ATM or quene at banks to withdraw money.
The form A requests are the biggest sources of forex leak in Nigeria because its products are intangible. You can fill a form A, request for millions of dollars in forex to pay for a service that was never rendered.
Not at the current price of LPG. Then the cons of conversion is also staring at me in the face. The extra weight of the tank The possibility of workman error, which can make me loose the car. Bros lemme manage the high cost of petrol
OZIOGU1: I deliberately ignore that small boy, He is not worth my attention, even the one that said I should go for DNA,all these small boys are the reason we have bast*Rd kids all around...she is my wife, she is a member of this forum and I will continue to appreciate her...she is too good to be my wife infact
Congrats my brother on finding a good one. Many more decades of joy and happiness in your home. Anyone who knows what it means sustaining a family will appreciate a helpful wife. You have done well by ignoring the idi.ot. you can tell he is still getting pocket money from daddy. It's sad what we see on this forum all because it is faceless. Its the audacity for me just because they can afford a N500 data subscription they think they have an opinion on everybody's business.
That is about 100 liters of petrol my friend. Most weeks I need more. Ipaja to Lekki 6 times in a week plus plenty hours in traffic. Do the math bro. The street is not smiling.
Aryafucksfinaly: Please a friend of mine who was in a dire and critical situation borrowed 600,000 Naira from a family friend on the condition of paying back with 20% monthly interest rate. The lender asked for post-dated cheques as security in return. After 4 months, she was able to pay back the lender's capital of 600,000 Naira. But the issue is that she had issued post-dated cheques of 480,000 Naira due to the monthly interest accrual which totalled 80%. But her situation has not improved at all so that she has not been able to pay back the interest. The lender continued threatening to file a complaint against her to EFCC and police for issuing a dud cheque. Eventually she borrowed 150,000 Naira and paid to the lender, leaving a balance of 330,000 Naira. Now the lender is still threatening to file a complaint against her if she doesn't pay back the remainder. And as it stands, heaven and earth, she doesn't have any money to pay back at the moment. A friend of ours who is a lawyer has suggested writing to the lender should the police be involved, since the lender is not licensed and the interest rate being charged is in contravention to the State's money lending laws. Please is it appropriate to for my friend to consider this approach?
Please house, kindly let me know what options she has. She doesn't want to disappoint our family friend who was of assistance to her in her time of need, at the same time, she doesn't have the money to pay back at the moment.
I hope this issue is sorted out, if not get her to write a letter to the "family friend" asking him not to present the cheques, she must cite the cheque numbers. She must state the original reasons for the cheques and why it is unreasonable to present them for payment. This will undoubtedly absolve your friend from any litigation that might arise if the cheques were presented for payment. It would turn the case in her favour.
mrvitalis: Why Nigerian Army they fire gun without tactics like they don't basic formation training?
This is very poor... Zero coordinations
They just use number and heavier fire power to overcome their enemy... Is that the tactics
This is poor we can do better
This is just poor. Zero aerial support. A drone would have given the needed tactical support and reduced this noise by at least 75 percent. God bless the Nigerian Army.
Seun: 1. Sack all the failures who allowed the attack to happen despite having the plan and receiving warnings from Egypt and female spotters.
2. Close all the loopholes that Hamas exploited to get into Israel. Secure the borders of your country from your hostile neighbour.
3. In going after Hamas, make a clear distinction between Hamas fighters and civilians. Don't destroy homes just to make civilians feel bad. Don't cut off food, water and medication. Don't call them human animals or Amalekites. Don't kill entire families. Try to be surgical.
They saw Hamas fighters training to attack them in the open, and did nothing. Now they are killing innocent civilians. It should have been the other way round.
4. Go after the fighters and the people they report to when you have the opportunity to do so with minimal collateral damage, Take your time and do it right. The problem is not what they say that they are doing (going after Hamas) but how they are doing it (indiscriminate bombing and shooting everything that moves) and why they are doing it (rage & revenge).
1. There are currently protesters in Israel, calling for the resignation of Netanyahu, and all in charge of security. This will not happen because it was all a part of an agenda. And the Palestinians played right into it.
2. It is almost impossible to achieve this. Israel has the 4th largest military in the world and Hamas did not need any sophisticated equipment to infiltrate. They came in paragliders. It was as simple as standing on any tall building in Palestine and jump into Israel.
3. How do you differentiate between a people who don't want to be. The civilians actively hide and protect the fighters. They don't wear any special uniforms or gears. The Hamas fighters come out off the tunnels, shoot their pipe bombs and run back. That is their war plan in a nutshell. "Wear them out". Their hideouts are schools and hospitals. Children are their shields. How do you fight fair with a gunman shooting at you from behind a 10-year-old? As much as I abhor wars, I believe we all have a responsibility and duty to stay alive by all means necessary. As much as it saddens me to say this, all is fair in war. Nigeria employed the hunger tactic during her civil war. Maybe if she didn't we would be telling a different story.
Seun, yours was a very emotional piece, your bias towards the Palestinians was not very hidden though. I have learned in my few decades on Earth that nothing is what it seems. The Hamas leaders played right into the Israeli's hand and what they suffer now is the result of their arrogance. I believe it was all a part of a big plan to evade Palestine, else, 1. Why did the iron dome fail 2. Why wasn't there any response from the IDF in about 4 hours of murder and torture 3. Why wasn't any resistance at the party, 'cause every adult Israeli is a trained soldier (male and female) In all you wrote, you did not mention what a "fair response" from the IDF would have been for the criminality carried out on their land. lets have this debate
These are not outrageous expectations of a woman, women are nurturers. (women I said, not the block heads with 500k bone straight wigs on it). But what is he offering this beautiful soul he is hoping and praying for? What's he done/doing with himself to keep her when she comes?
Quality20: Remember some of them only did hookup because of some problems bordering on finances, like been with younger siblings who need money or sick parents etc.
How can you tell when the next "Problem" comes up??
Throwback: Maybe the question you all need to ask is if indeed such expenditure is justified, but the title or wording in the budget and cost reports do not do justice to the full scope of what it covers.
What I am saying is that Aisha and all those who spend all of their time criticising, oneday find themselves in power, and their so called "feeding budget" is also in the billions too.
Then something is fundamentally wrong with what we know, what we are told, and what we criticise, only to get to power and realise we have only been criticising like illiterates and beer parlour analysts.
Didn't Buhari insist there was nothing like subsidy before he got to power and continued paying it?
Didn't Fashola insist that a serious government would solve power problems in 6months like Bola Ige also claimed in 1999, only for both to fail in that very portfolio despite spending beyond 6months as the Minister in charge?
Did Tinubu's aide and now Minister, Dele Alake, and his current media aide Bayo Onanuga, not claim that a serious government did not need more than 1month to nominate Ministers? Are we unaware of how the Tinubu Presidency managed to beat the 60days deadline set by Buhari, by presenting incomplete list of nominees?
So we have seen old governments fail, and have also seen the erstwhile critics even fail the more when saddled with the responsibility they yearned for.
It is time we cool off on the illiterate criticisms and outlandish expectations that Rome must be built in a day, even when the bricks and the Masons are yet to be provided.
One of the few reasonable ones left on Nairaland. God bless you.
tochez24: I too know is what will kill poor Nigerians all the time!!!!
In 2023, even the very rich like osimenh have wised up and stopped settling for less. You that don't even have upto 100million in your account is still speaking GRAMMAR😊.
It's only a fool that settles for less nowadays if you don't know, women mastered this very ACT centuries ago... the men just learnt it recently and are coming up indeed.
Even me now I'm still broke, i will never look a broke girl twice talkless of marrying her⚠️
Any lady that can't afford the basics of life which mostly include the financial capabilities shouldn't be in a relationship or marriage oga, forget your grammar nah hunger and depression go open your eyes soon when you carry Bills wey heavy pass you.
I stand with osimenh 💯
I appreciate your view, as narrow as it seems. I have been married for 17 years. Are you? I travelled near and far. Ever left the shores of this country? I have seen the ups and downs of life and still learning. What have you seen. Listen to wisdom. If your view of life can be narrowed to Naira and Kobo then you are a child. Unlike God and family, money and material things are ephemeral because they will wash away in the rain of life.
