shemy: Can a friend view the property on my behalf? "Is there possibility of prices crashing down later. Most accomodation are to be shared and not ensuite, na wah o. to share property with people not known before get as e be. Also, i will love my kids to come over to see me at least once before finishing the program , will this affect the kind of accomodation to get?
Like Dis Guy said it entirely depends on how deep your pocket is, you can get any type of accommodation you want, but of you want to have your family around once in a while then sharing is not a good idea, going for studio accommodation or renting 2bed room flat will suit you more, again it depends on your bank balance.

Here I was hoping you'd finally come around and would at least call the Universities and report back here as you said you would. Is arguing blindly your chief pastime? I really, really thought you'd had a change of mind and was going to take one or two steps to "expose" this as fraud. Now you're just going to leave it to prospective students who want to waste their money?
Haven't you seen the reply from the University of Exeter? Why did they denied knowing about the scholarship even as the website you provided linked they to the scholarship?

ZUBY77: I moved back from Europe in 2010 october. The first few months was rosy as i was still living from the money that came back with me. Then the savings started going south and i buckled up. I joined a scrap metal business and i had to squander another one million naira before i learnt the trade and its secrets. Now everything is smooth and i am never going back to live in another man's country unless there is war in Nigeria.
You can always stay in Nigeria during the war. Remember you made the initial money that set you up in Nigeria in another man's country?

rumourhater: huhOnce again, assumptions which are very wrong.
I am not one of the suspects. i am researching on people and behavior and attitude towards different people of all races, religion, gender and sexuality. And dts just to set u straight.

Why assume when u can just ask? Don't u think that would be the more intelligent thing to do?

Call it ranting, I call it education.

Thank God we don't have people dt would rather say and do things based on assumptions especially when they can easily get facts.

Think and spread this to others with d same approach as urself.. What would Jesus do?
I still call it ranting and a silly one in that matter, i don't care what you are researching on, your opinion is your opinion, you don't push it on others, there is nothing educational about insulting people because of their views.

Thousands of people get their news through newspapers or TV whether true or false, you don't need to be in court, hear the case before commenting on it, i would have asked but going by your first post i don't think you deserve to be given any respect.

What do you think Jesus would have done?

Would an exisiting visiting visa affect a student visa?

I ask because I have an existing visiting visa which expires in November 2012. I'm applying end of June, school resumption is 24th Sept so I expect the visa to be valid from August 24th(pls correct me if I'm wrong).

Would there be anything wrong in my travelling before the validity of the student visa? since the visit visa is still valid

Would they cancel the months left on the visit visa?
You want to travel by August or when?

Why are some people here calling on the west and NATO to come and help? Why not call on AU? Why not encourage African countries to deal with their own problems?

If NATO steps in now many of you here will start shouting oil oil oil, ask AU to take that oil and solve the conflict.

@rumourhater

Your rants was tagged as spam by the system or the Mod, i'm assuming that you are one of the accused/suspect in this case hence some of the comments you made in your blocked post.

If the press made this up or exaggerated the case then we will know that pretty soon as the case is on going.

My previous comments was based on what was published by the newspapers and i make no apology for that and i will publish the final decision here when i see it.

You are barking at the wrong tree, if you have evidence of racist abuse towards you then stop ranting like a baby and have your time in court.

How many people go to court to hear or listen to a case before commenting on it? Do they committee the crime or not? Or you are playing the race card as usual? Why did the seventh man admitted three charges at an earlier hearing?

Calling me a fool for posting what the newspaper published makes you even a bigger fool as i did not make up any story there.

Hi Wise,

Thanks for sending the links through to me. I have forwarded the link to a few different departments within the university however no-one here has heard of the funding. Therefore I think it is safe to assume this isn’t a legitimate scholarship.

The University of Exeter is currently looking into removing our details from any web pages related to this scholarship. We have also informed the University of Exeter representative based on Nigeria, so she will warn any prospective students of this scholarship.

Thank you so much for bringing our attention to this scholarship, hopefully we can prevent any students from becoming victims of scholarship scams in the future.

If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards,

Jo

Dear Wise,

Your email has been forwarded to me by our Postgraduate Admissions team. This isn’t a scholarship we are familiar with, however if you could send up a link to the webpage where you found the scholarship information we will try to verify the information on there.

My brodas are going to be my sponsor, one of which is a banker and d oda owns a private company. What document do I need to submit to canada embassy to improve my chances of gettin trv. Especially proof of sufficient fund and strong ties to nigeria among oda documents. I need to get prepared in advance

Arobake: My problem is similar.
I got married in Lagos early last year (he is white, British). After which he returned to Britain. He is visiting me again in 2 weeks time; and I was hoping to apply for a family visiting visa and return with him when he leaves. But so many conflicting advices: I was told I needed to do the IELTS. I did and scored 8 - having scored 6.5 writing, 7.5 listening, 8 speaking, and 9 writing. I have however just been informed that
1. applying for visiting instead of settlement would be suspicious and the visa would be turned down. But I am self-employed and cant just take off like that, I need to see the lay of the land; besides, right now the fee for the 'visiting visa' is more pocket-friendly.
2. I have also, just been told that because my international passport is almost a year old and there hasnt been any visa on it, not even to African States, I would be turned down, as UK does not grant visiting nor settlement visas on passports that cant show one is widely travelled.

PLEASE, which of these advices is/are true? And was all the time and money I expended on the IELTS a total waste?

Thank you.
All unnecessary lies and misleading info, don't worry about the money and time you spent on IELTS, you will need it in future.

1. Go ahead and apply for spouse visa if you have all the requirements.

2. You can get spouse visa with virgin passport, not having travelling experience shouldn't be an issue, there was 'a first time' for a very regular traveller.

Get your documents together and go ahead and apply.
