@OP. Stop deluding yourself, the same prob you face with younger woman will be there with older woman IF you met the wrong person. You will enjoy relationship with younger woman as well as older one if both of you are in-love with each other, anything other than that is day-dreaming. |
Nigeria is a beautiful place to live and work in,in as much as you know your onion and be well informed. I have also noticed a trend that the people that ask about the situation of how Nigeria is are guys that grew up in Nigeria and either went for further studies or the golden guinea in the diaspora,so it beats my imagination why the question?Nations dont change over night as the Nigeria you left a few years ago is still the same Nigeria you will be meeting when you come back. And,until i see a Nigerian by parentage visiting the country for the first time ask about the situation of the country(Nigeria), i will assume those questions asked here is one of those NOTICE-ME-QUESTIONS-BECAUSE-I DEY ABROAD. And a quick question to those living in the UK,Una think say una don travel abroad?its funny always when i see somebody living in the UK ask questions about Nigeria. If you live in the UK then dont bother asking about what is obtainable in Nigeria as whatever you are experiencing in the UK is the same you will experience in Nigeria, except for the fact that you will have a more spacious home/house to sleep in Nigeria than the SARDINE CANS(houses small like cells) you call homes in the UK. OUR PEOPLE MAKE PROVERB SAY THEM DEY CALL MEAT, KPOMO SEF DEY COME SEE HIM BE MEAT. This UK people should stop asking questions on NL because una be KPOMO. To the OP, there is nothing here anybody can tell you as a matter of adjustability is a personal thing and your experience(s) might be different from others.
You obviously have problem with people living in the UK but how did you arrive at the conclusion that these questions are asked by Nigerians living in the UK? You think Nigeria and the UK are the same? Strange. |

ChiScoroko: A Nigerian living in US is in FBI most wanted list, Nigerians in US commit just as more crime as those in the UK, there is nothing like Nigerians in US are more well behaved and more hard working than those in the UK.https://www.nairaland.com/138739/18-most-wanted-nigerians-usa have a look at that link. More than 10 Nigerians listed in FBI most wanted list. Yes i did not understand how you will suggest that in US that Nigerians will 'never ever ever' be on the news for committing crime like this, i don't understand how you will suggest that Nigerians in US are more hard working and well behaved than those in the UK without any definite prove Whether urban crime or village crime, crime is crime and where ever it happens in US it till a crime. |
ChiScoroko: @justwise.....I'm aware of all those but I don't think you understand where I'm coming from...when I say never ever u have to understand that it is just a figure of speech for very rare if not often....my point exactly is that as I've come to see, not a 100% but a good enough number, that the reputation of nigerians in the uk is not very good, but you can't really say that about nigerians in America. When I say this, I'm not saying that crimes are not committed by nigerians in America but its very rare, so our reputation is not known for that. I don't know how it is in the uk but from my understanding the nigerian communities there tend to commit more urban crimes than their counterparts in America(not quoting any stats just my opinion)......especially the youths....like I said earlier, it will be especially hard to see any nigerian youth engaged in something like this, whether they r born in Nigeria or America......I highly think the area and the people they are raised around has a lot to do with though....A Nigerian living in US is in FBI most wanted list, Nigerians in US commit just as more crime as those in the UK, there is nothing like Nigerians in US are more well behaved and more hard working than those in the UK. I can give you links and links about stories of Nigerians in the US making headlines for all wrong reasons. Nigerian parents in US face the same problem of bringing kids up as those in the UK. |
Which organisation is giving out the scholarship? |
salsera: Plan to travel early August probabaly 2nd week Aug in fact cos I planned a short weekend trip with some friends. As long as your student visa comes out by August you are allowed to travel 3wks or more before the start of your course |
kwenu: Thanks for making this post to the front page, i dont know who did anyways but thanks to whoever did.You just proved everybody here right, you or your friend married her not because you love her but because you want to run away from hardship. |
kwenu: HERES ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL COUPLE, PLEASE LETS NOT CONDEM OR BLAME PEOPLE ITS ALL ABOUT DESTINY, ITS ALL CHOICE AND IF THEY ARE BOTH HAPPY AS COUPLE . THEN GOOD FOR THEM. I SEE NO FAULT IN SUCH MARRIAGE AS THESE.What a joke!, if that lady was a black Nigerian woman living in Nigeria will that young man marry her? Will his parents and friends allow him to mention the word love let alone marrying her? Watch their body language, he looks scared and can't wait to get it over and done with. This is just immigration marriage. Lets not pretend here that they are in love and all that nonsense. |
deandavid: that's what they call tactics. Everybody knws chelsea are no match 4 barca, so whatever anybody can employ jst 2 edge barca out is welcome. So leave DD alone. That is not tactics, he is setting himself up for yellow and possibly red card if he keep going down like bag of potato, referees will have no choice than to book him for faking injury every time. How will anybody pay to watch a grown up like Drogba spending 90% of the time on the ground holding one part of his able body or the other? |
Its interesting how some people here believed this story published by western media, nobody is talking about western propaganda or brain washing here again. CIA or FBI did not make this up again. |
Emylexray: i disagree! It was a tactic to kill the incessant pressure mounted by Barcelona. Have you seen Barcelona players falling like pack of cards before? I guess you haven't.Drogba is a disgrace, its painful to watch a good player like him faking injury after injury, stopping the match and within mins he is up again. Just don't touch him else he going down. sick! |
Anybody that goes down as much as Drogba does will always be on injury list. He spent much of last Wed match on the ground, the only time he stood on his feet was when he scored |
fados4sure: @justwise? Thanks so much for the advise and i for one hate accent town. Secondly how about interms of Job opportunity which is prefer? England or Scotland?Job is a problem everywhere, come prepared financially and take your time to look for whatever is out there. Things may change by the time you graduate, not that there is no job but its harder to get one. |
FutureDon: @allIt will be difficult for anybody who did not study there or studying there at the moment to give you an honest assessment of the university hence the reason why i did not comment. |
ChiScoroko: I'm referring to the America where I live here in Cali specifically L.A. things like this just don't happen in our community...since there are so many opportunities here, Nigerians here really try to outshine each other academically or other ways..very rare to hear a news like this happening in the Nigerian community here in L.A. whether igbo, Yoruba, or whatever....in other areas, i don't know so much but i do know we really try overall to maintain a sense of class despite the bad image some Nigerians try to give us...NOO The highlighted part is not a mistake but very true because I've been here for a long time and is very aware about how we perceive ourselves, and how others perceive us...and when u read, try and and understand the word community....and what i mean by that....just because Nigerians have a bad reputation globally does not mean that we do locally....I responded to your post because you used the term 'never' more than two times to stress that Nigerians in US will not be on the news for such crime Nigerian men In US have killed their wives more than Nigerians in any other country i know. Read some of the links https://www.nairaland.com/485379/nigerian-americans-killing-spouses-us-1 https://www.nairaland.com/477467/why-did-this-nigerian-kill https://www.nairaland.com/487114/nigeria-men-america-killing-419 |
ChiScoroko: this is really sad...and to all you tribalists out there, there's actually one igbo and 3 yorubas in the mix, but that's besides the point since we are "ALL" Nigerians. this is pretty pathetic that these children are given chances that so many in naija would love but instead they are caught up in nonsense INSTEAD OF THEIR BOOKS..its really embarrassing. Here in America, you would never ever ever.....EVER see a Nigerian on the news doing one or two useless thing. it depends really on how u are raised and i'm sorry to say but these kids are behaving like the UK belongs to them. they don't know where they came from and do not value where their parents came from. they see themselves as British, because they are born there, so therefore they don't have that fear, nor have pretty much anything to lose. having lived in america for 12+yrs, (came here at 10, now 23), Nigerians here have a reputation to carry, especially in the little communities we've provided ourselves....so its hard to see any Nigerian or youth for that matter breaking the law, or committing such atrocious crimes. i don't know how it is in the UK but from what i'm hearing and seeing, these kids do not identify themselves as Nigerians, and really seems to identify more with their foreign counterparts. i also think that like someone said they come from broken homes and there is not a sense of community that the kids can positively compete with each other instead of negatively..... Nigeria is not a country full of saints, but at least when we go to foreign lands, we are expected to boost our reputation, not stain it more....I'VE SAID MY OWN....PLS DO BETTER BRITISH NIGERIANS...BECAUSE US AMERICANA NIGERIANS REALLY THINK HIGHLY OF U GUYS WITH UR ACCENTS AND ALL...Which America are you referring to? Please tell me that the highlighted part is a mistake? |
kaffy4tope: @kingville, I guess I can give you a trial. |

beatrice webb: @justwise,u better be careful an know who an who to retaliate,is it not not igbo pple that dominates "money ritual" in this our beloved country? Okija shrine, clifford orji etc where are they from,u think UK is nigeria where u can carry out all sorts of evil act an get away with it? Just as your brother ibori did, thanks to the british for curbing the ANIMALISTIC behaviour of the igbo pple! Your stupidity is beyond redemption, so ibori is now an Igbo man? What made you think that all the names mentioned in this article are all igbos? Morons like you can't stop making fool of themselves. |
kingville17: @just wiseMiss-placed respect. What you are advertising is criminal, your UK 'contact' can not get anybody who is not entitled for a UK passport legally within 2weeks. |
beatrice webb: igbo pple with their killing habit when will they stop? You brain dead fool, this is not about tribe, as you can see there are other tribes involved, its a Nigerian issue and not tribe |
I really hope those animals die in prison, they shouldn't be released under any circumstance. |

chucky234: Schools in Russia or Ukraine handle international admissions through third party contractor companies and I represent one of the companies who is a registered admission agent in Russia. Please go ahead and give the details of the agent you are representing, the school will be contacted to find out if they know the agent you mentioned and the agent will be contacted to know if they know you. |
fados4sure: Please, i want to go an study chemical engineering at university of surrey in England but my family friend in London told me to forget London and come an study in Scotland. Pls england an scotland, which is better because i am confuse now..Nobody can give you a definite answer on that, some people like England and some like Scotland but personally i don't like Scotland because of the accent and they 'seems' to be miserable all the time, though London is more expensive compared to Scotland. |
