I still do not understand how possible it is for the so-called agents sell or have access to the dates when it takes ones passport number, details and visa fee of N22,400.00 to book appointment.
I repeat, no agent sells date, whoever tells you he sells date is not telling you the true, dates are not transferable and you won't even know when your cancelled old date is released.

perhaps, it is only those who are on emergency but not sure of getting help through the expedited visa request channel.
one can still book a normal appointment and there must be emergency request, whichever one, some people gotta have means of livelihood through honest and hardworking means and I'm sure you have no objetion to that, or do you?
people that pay, know why they are travelling, been denied a visa should be a deterrent since there're always two sides to everything,

Your sour vitriol will not change the situation. Omo oso will be an illegal immigrant. He will not be able to take part in the formal economy which is highly leveraged on credit. If he manages to make an honest living, he will not be able to pay tax which is unlawful. By overstaying his travel visa and remaining in SA means that his entire stay in SA will be on an illegal foundation. Giving a few examples of people staying in Nigeria illegaly and using that to excuse illegal Nigerians in SA is just plain silly. Your bitterness is making you look dumb.

thank you
There is no need for people to sleep on internet IF people like you did not make a mess of the system, it was supposed to be stress-free and free but since some 'agents' started selling the slots it becomes a nightmare.

. . .even with all 'access' to the embassy one can still be refused a visa, so successfully booking an appointment does not guarantee anyone a visa.

very bad.
Guess that has answered your question? And to be honest, luck is also a part of it and that indeed has been on my side and I wish it to everybody going for visa interview on this site.
hello ojdollar,
what I meant is that you can't buy an appointment date at the embassy as mentioned by sapele.
you can only schedule an appointment through their web portal.
if he had said some people collect money to help you schedule, yes it's understandable but to buy a date at the embassy, unless expatiates on, i'm afraid it's definetely fake, even a staff there has no access to it.

and asking me to do it free, No.1, I'm only gonna work for you by monitoring the calender alongside with my team and get a date for you as soon as we get the alert.
No.2, this is time cunsuming , sleepless night and total useless during the day.
No.3, it defenitely a service and every service deserves a payment and I don't think you'll object to that.
The only thing I try to do is to be considerate depending on the level of effect been put in the task.

finally, many people have succeded in securing an appointment date through us and I bet almost all of them got their visa except a lady that lied to me that she was for renewal instead of fresh and hence refused enterance into the embassy due her appointment showed renewa, though. she was the one that created her profile anyway,

Now, my advice is always be careful while filling in your details and confirm every detail before sending.

if you are interested in our service, please do contact us, it's  what you can do by yourself anyway but if you think it's not forthcoming,
holla us at usaappointment@yahoo.com
thank you
Why are you trying to link booking an appointment to visa success?

But this Saif al-Islam is very intriguing though. First he was reported captured in Tripoli and later escaped. Then he was reported captured in Sirte, .Again he escaped. He must have some ogbonge babalawo behind him.  grin grin grin

I wish him luck though. He could become the worst terror the West will ever confront in future - together with the poor people of Sirte and Bani Walid, bombed by an army of occupation into submission. There is no "liberation" yet in Libya ;only a gathering storm which  may have the entire African continent uniting against the West.
Whatever Gaddafi has done in the past seems of little consequence now considering the hopeless animals that he has been contending with in Libya. The clear fact is that HE WAS MURDERED in full television glare, and with assistance of UN and NATO.

I read somewhere that Saif Al-Islam actually managed to escape to Sudan, where he is now under the protection of the Justice and Equality Movement, a dreaded militia group in that country. Since he still has access to billions of dollars stashed in secret accounts (presumably), I hope he can build an entire army of avengers to launch and sustain a retaliatory battle with the support of his Sirte tribal elements to destabilize the NTC's government and kill some of the maggots that were dragging his father and brother's bodies on the streets, putting them in a meat freezer for all manner of miserably morbid nonentities to glare at, and savagely celebrating their deaths. He has nothing to lose anymore, he should dedicate the rest of his life and resources to bringing misery to the mob (and their western backers if possible) that effectively wiped out his entire family. This is not a matter of what Gaddafi did or did not do during his time in power. This is about the righteous anger of a true-born son that MUST AVENGE the humiliating massacre of his family. He has my best wishes for that noble mission.

Dream on! We will see how long he will survive, where did u think he banked those millions? In Africa? I don't feel sorry for him, he is lucky to be alive.

Yes i don't like the way he died and i'm not Gaddafi's fan, Gaddafi should have been arrested, locked up, trialed and jailed, that is how it should be done in a civilized society.

If Gaddafi should be killed cos he killed then those who killed him should be killed as well.

juzme:
I think I have to differ from this suggestion. Auto business is different from travel agency business in the perspective I will be looking at it. Vehicle or the parts are more of physical things you will like to see before you buy them but Visa or even flight ticket is more of abstract when you cannot verify it until you use it or got to your proposed destination.
And the situation Nigeria is today, recommending any travel agent or visa agent may not be the right thing to do. 419ners have physical address and their business registered.  There are a lot of people who are desperate to leave Nigeria at all cost.
The Canadian visa agent I heard about here in this forum advertised some media in Nigeria which made some people to believe and trust them.
While i wait for approval, Siena do you mind if i open this idea for debate? juzme raised some points there.
Travel › Re: All Travel Agents- Your Suggestions are needed here! by justwise(mod): 10:26pm On Oct 24, 2011
Siena:
Justwise, this is just a suggestion, please feel free to delete it, if it's inappropriate.

In the Auto section, there was a thread started, whereby all dealers (and regular traders of parts, accessories etc) were invited to email the Moderators with the following information:

01) Their full names.
02) Their business details.
03) Their telephone numbers (if applicable).
04) Their mobile numbers.
05) Their email addresses.
06) Their office / home addresses.
07) Their website (if applicable).

This call for compliance was by no means mandatory, but it allowed for more confidence and transparency in traders. There was a deadline for compliance, those that failed to comply were still allowed to trade, but of course, potential buyers were able to draw their own conclusions for non-compliance.

Those that supply the requested data can be announced at a later date. The Travel section needs this mare than the Auto section, seeing as there are more sharks trawling the murky waters. Those that advertise as "Ticket" or "Travel Agents" can also supply their Certificates of Accredition. Travel Agents definitely have to be registered, those self-styled ones are simply con artists looking to ensnare the unwary. "Visa Agents" are con artists, and threads offering such services should be deleted. Unverified persons leaving their details to be contacted off the boards, should be viewed as suspicious. More so, if someone opens a thread, asking for advice, and these unverified persons leave their details, saying "call me," or "email me."

This is my take on things.
Thanks a lot for this, i think its a good idea. I will consult my boss. . Dis Guy and super-Mod then stick it.

Thanks again.

Ok this is not really a travel question but it is related to the old Nigerian passport.

I have an exam coming up day after tomorrow for which I've been told the only allowable ID I can use is my passport. (No Driver's license, National ID etc). However, I don't currently have my E-passport with me as it's at an embassy being processed for a visa. I DO have my old (MRP) passport which doesn't expire till next year. I'm wondering if that's still acceptable as a valid form of identification in this country or has it been phased out?
Sure u can use it, i don't think it has been phased out yet.

Hello there,
I'm a White woman married to a Nigerian man, we have kids together. I found out a few months ago that my husband has cheated on me with an Igbo girl in her late 40's (she's single, no kids). She stayed at mine while I was away on holidays with my kids for several weeks. She left loads of "symbolisms" cruxes like shapes in a "clear, almost invisible type of oil greasy liquid" on all my Walls, furniture, etc and also some ready made meals in my fridge. I felt I was going to die, I passed out for a moment and went through hell. I was completely devastated and heartbroken. I'm not very familiar with the Igbo culture. Can anybody tell me what those symbols mean and why were there for? My husband told her he doesn't want to hear from her anymore, yet she kept trying. I just hope her evil witchcraft doesn't cause us any harm.
Thank you very much for your time and thanks in advance.
Regards
