@Justwise,
I paid my full tuition fee nd also a 200pounds deposit for my accommodation. My school also indicated this two payment on my CAS statement, so I'm to show only 5,200pounds.
So from my story nd d fact dat I have 1.410,000mil currently in my account, I'm I safe?
Ok i understand the issue of £5200 now, so since u are supposed to have £5200 in ur account . . . that is what should be seen in ur account through out, anything less is risky. You are not supposed to withdraw from that £5200, if it goes down by any amount then u are asking for a refusal.

@Justwise,
Lemme explain my case fully to you. I'm still waiting for my visa application, nd the exchange rate on OANDA site on d day I submitted my application was 248.297.
The maintenance money I'm suppose to show in my account is just 5,200 pounds. The day I printed my bank statement of account, I deposited 100k that day b4 I printed it to add to 1.460,000 mill I already had in my account. During d 28days ritual, the minimum balance my money reached was 1.419,000. After I submitted my visa application, I used money from my account for my flight nd visa application fee. I withdrew from my account until I had 1.410,000mil.
So my question is since I currently have 1.410,000 mil in my account now, which is below d 1.419,000mil minimum balance reached during d 28 days stuff, I'm I still safe?
Hope u understand my story. Thanks
Your maintenance fee is £5400 (outside London) and u shouldn't take money away from that amount while still waiting for the outcome of ur visa. If the exchange rate changes and that amount goes down while ur application is still with the embassy it will not affect ur application but if u withdrew from that account and the amount goes down then u risk getting a refusal

Please I will like u to throw more light on what u meant by "the required amount" in your above post. Thanks
How much are u supposed to have in that account?

@Justwise, please I will like to know which days exchange rate is used in accessing d minimum money dat should be held in the bank account. Also, what if someone withdraws slightly below the least amount dat was held during d 28 days ritual stuff but not below d minimum amount required while he is still waiting for d outcome of his visa application, will it affect anything?. Thanks
They will use the exchange rate of the day u submitted ur application, if the exchange rate changes while u visa is still being processed then you will not be held responsible for that.

Withdrawing below the required amount will only affect u IF the embassy got to know that.

Hi Ell 777 and Justwise,

I've actually read through the first 5 and last 10 pages of this thread and its been quite interesting.

I applied for my visa via the Lekki office on Aug 15 and thought it'll be a walk in the park with my visa issued after 10days max but that has not been the case. I visited the UK in Sept 2007 and again Sept 2010 and in both visits didnt spend more than 1 week, so i'd say i have a rather good travel history but its day 12 now and i'm still waiting. Unlike Bountimore, Nana28 and a couple of other people, i dont think i have their strength of patience because i have actually resigned my appointment because of this MBA programme which begins on Sept 26.

I have a couple of questions

1. I included an acknowleged copy of my resignation letter which states it is as a result of this MBA, does that count for anything?

2. To obtain my CAS, my sponsor only required that i pay a deposit of £1000 as part of my tuition as well as pass the IELTS exam, which i did/have. However, in posts i've seen, people seem to have either paid all of their tuition or a reasonable amount and even though i have the balance of this as well as the maintenance in my account, i'm a little bothered. I have actually secured private private accommodation via my sponsor and have even paid both the deposit, room rent and agency fee upfront though i still provided fully for my maintenance, should i be bothered?

3. More worrisome for me is that as a Banker, i have spoken to my audit guys in the office who confirm statements of accounts from embassies, to alert me once a call for mine is sought however as at Friday (day 12), the embassy has not sought confirmation of my statement of account. Should i again fret?

4. Rather than use my staff/current account, i applied using my savings account so is this a likely challenge? More so, i actually need to draw from this account and the amount will definitely go below the maintenance requirement but i'm thinking that owing to the fact that i've already met the pre-described 28 day circle, then i can draw below the balance expected but still make sure it again gets to the expected figure in say 2 or 3 days. is this advisable?

Sorry to be asking so much bt i'm actually sick and tired of checking the internet and every sms i get on my phone. I've already suffered enough heart palpitations from my dear club Arsenal.

Please advise.

Thank u.
Sorry this is coming late, have being busy.

You got nothing to worry about, using saving account is not a problem. As for paying part-fees or full-fees, it doesn't matter as long as u agreed with ur school on the payment method, that will be started in ur CAS as well.

I want to apply on Tuesday. Please @justwise if I use a joint account where I'm a co-signatory. Will I be required to hold double the required amount or slightly above it. Also, will I be expected to get a covering note from the other person whom is a signatory too. Pls don't feel offended by this, but some people just know how to talk fear into others.
Page 1 of this thread answers ur question, ell77 updated it

@Justwise,
please I will like u to answer this.
As I'm still waiting for my visa, I have been withdrawing frequently from my account. But I haven't gone below d money required nd won't go below it. I deposited 190k to add up with d money required to be in my account, which showed on d day I printed my bank statement.
Since then I have withdrawn like 7 times, which when summed up is like 100k for total withdrawals so far. Please I will like to know if I am still safe or not. Thanks
As long as u don't go below the required amount then u will be fine.
