That is pretty much what I suspected. I'm curious as to whether Crystal Services appointed any agents acting on their behalf, if at all.

I think some agents appointed by CS took advantage of it to make more cash. Its going to be hard for the applicants to get their money back cos many bought forms from 'agents' claiming to be working for CS.

All of those who have given their passports to Crystal Services should simply be demanding them back.  If this airlift (are they evacuees?) doesn't take place, you have every right to ask for your passport back, visa or no visa.  If you sit there begging them for what is rightfully yours, the joke is on you.

[b]Those of  you who used agents - how do you know these are official CS agents and not someone setting themselves up as one to get your money?[/b]This is not a problem with logistics, this is incompetence of the highest order.  How can logistics dictate a text message is sent for applicants to attend a meeting at the National Theatre, yet the venue wasn't booked and there was no CS representatives to speak to those in attendance?  And how can you then send another text message saying "pass on the info to other applicants" well after the meeting time - should you not have the details of ALL applicants to inform them of what you're doing?

I think there are many agents involved in this, is like everybody comes an agent collecting money from friends and relatives hence the large scale of the scam.

Well, I don't have much to say on here , all i know is Crystal have really disappointed many of us, but they keep giving people high hopes,  i wouldn't have been in this mess if not for the trust i had in my Agent , i went to his house this morning with serious anger , after several calls , he made me to understand that CS is real , but they are having problems with their logistics. To everyone in the house , I Apologize for some previous comment i have made ,  especially to justwise, but the fact remains that, This CS scam is STRANGE, my agent made me to understand that the Visas are READY. ,  if you are one of the Applicant what will you do ?

jaypee4r if your answers to following questions are yes then CS is genuine.

1.Did you send blood sample or attend any medical test at those 2 specific hospitals officially recognized by Canadian embassy?

2. Did you attend any visa interview in Canadian embassy?

3. Did you apply for any job in Canada and get an offer?

4. Do you really think that a city in Canada will need 8000 Nigerian workers in one go?
 
Check the Canadian embassy, the first 3 questions are just a starting point b4 u will even dream of 2yrs work visa.

Good to know that there is some closure coming to this stupidity that could have been prevented if people would listen. The quest for sudden success blinded them all making it difficult for their brains to function as designed; relying on taking some useless risks and believing their gods will make it happen has led them to the expected end. What a shame!

Where is the fool asking us to prove this is a scam and requesting to see the results of our investigations?
Where are the other fools that registered solely to defend this obvious scam?
Where are those other fools that refused to heed the warnings despite several abuses targeted at those they should be praising?
Who is the fool expecting government to prevent this kind of scam despite all help here, and when government is yet to find solutions to bigger problems facing the nation?
And where are the fools waiting to be the next victims of some other kinds of scams?

If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is not probably a duck but a duck. Hoping someone somewhere will understand that if it is too good to be true then it cannot be true.

The 8,000 Nigerians want to work in Manitoba Hydro Plant all at the same time. Se dem won sack all the canadians working there for dem ni? People got to be using their brains/heads the way God wants it been used. Instead, they used their anus as head and head as leg. Na wa oo.

Those who resigned their jobs will start queuing for jobs from 2moro. Some will be homeless while some may never recover from this.

You are right about the fact that people need to come forward in person and act. [b]Condemnations alone can not forestall greedy agents or "scammers". It is easy to point out inconsistencies, but it takes a real responsible mind to spend his/her time to get down to details. if you were at the premises of CS, you did well. I often wonder in the last one month [/b]why contributors did not come together on an agreed date to meet at the CS office - or are some forum members working together, talking with both sides of their mouth? I was actually asked this question by a Canadian immigration lawyer that I asked to look at this forum.
It is risky to trust any info coming from any faceless contributor on this forum. I was logged out once when I tried to post a particular information about this scheme, it may be the forum administrator did that! Also, responsible persons were not even willing to come out to challenge the details that we sought to investigate. This can not happen in Canada and I don't know what to say about the consular officer in Abuja. Don't be surprised that even official methods also end up in official scams!
We now need all the persons who feel aggrieved to set an agenda for themselves and come out the same way we have suggested in our earlier posts. Take action. Every step of the way in this country I have met many caveats on this issue - you can't do this and you can't do that - only the aggrieved can form a formidable force in the way we have suggested in the past on this forum.

I couldn't have traveled to Nigeria because of this, i can only air my view here and hope that pple do their  research to find out the truth.
Many applicants here wouldn't turn up as they see you as enemy of process, they see you as a stumbling block to their trip to Canada. Maybe now they will come up and help the investigation.

I wish i'm, but i'm not, i'm doing what i believed strongly in and being insulted is part of it.

How can supposedly 8,000  educated Nigerians be this stupid?  Churches in every street, calling God's name in every thing we say, Bible carrying,  Bible quoting and devil casting, while all these are going on. . .our hearts are desperately wicked. Some are more dangerous than acid and gun powder. I cry for Nigeria.

Where are you now? How do you sleep at night? How do you feel about those speeches you made at the meetings organised by CS  to the victims?  You are a married man with kids and you and your brother have ruined the lives of 8,000 Nigerians.

Which God did you claimed that made you? God of justices i guess and he will visit you.

   You know your are a dead brain yourself. Why should I cry? I insulted anyone who insulted me. I supported the applicants because some of them were feeding me with information about the genuineness of the program. How did I encourage people? I expected them to have verified and they claim they did. Meanwhile, most people had paid some sort of money and there was nothing they could do about it. They were only expecting a miracle. So, shut your trap. 
There was no way I could have helped the situation. I never encouraged  the scammers and I never pretended to sit on the fence. Many applicants were proving to me it was genuine and I helped share their views. I categorically stated that if anyone had tangible information to prove it was a sham, then they should come forward. I went to Crystal Service myself on Tuesday when CanImServ said he was going to be there. I wanted to witness the outcome firsthand. But he gave one excuse or the other for not acting as he had proposed. I was there  to support him to actually find out the truth. Everyone that claimed it was sham did so from a logical angle.
I never at one point asked anyone to go to Canadian Embassy. I only said people with tangible information and evidences should come forward. Don't misquote me. 

You are shameless, there is nothing absolutely nothing reasonable that comes out of your mouth.

Cipriani you supported this, (post #2 ) you promoted it,(post #15)  you encouraged and advertised this. You lied that the Canadian embassy/govt is aware of this CS program (#22, #23 and #27)

I have spent a great deal of my time reading one post after another on this topic. I think it is time to respond.I am a Nigerian and very privileged to live here Down Under (Australia). It is my wish that everyone gets a better life, every Nigerian. Sadly, the indications are that it's gonna get worse. Why? Look at it this way. Success comes to those who are patient, work hard and save and above all honest. Failure is the result when you don't have these fine qualities.I would probably not have come in now ( would have waited till the 11th, 12th and 13th of sept.) But what is the point of waiting. A nephew of mine is one of the applicants. He told me about CS. He e-mailed me a copy of the agreement he made with CS. I picked up a few phrases like " this is not a modern form of slavery" which I think is very odd to be in the agreement. The English was watery and so many typo errors. I knew from the word go, it wasn't real even though my nephew keeps believing even till this moment. I can't blame him- he is desperate to get out of Nigeria.
Please don't mis-understand me. I wish everyone would get a better life, my nephew included, but am afraid it's not going to happen through CS. I am just waiting to hear the next excuse for not travelling.I live in Australia and I know the processes to  migrate here. Canada and Australia have similar requirements. You must be crazy to think you can just get 7000 people in. 7 people alone is enough to raise eyebrows here at the moment. CS may say they have have not collected money from anyone, but my nephew did say he paid #2000 for a medical certificate which of course is fake,  Imagine getting this amount from 3000 people. You can do the mathematics. I am just waiting to hear the next excuse. After reading most of the post here, I want to thank JUSTWISE for standing up to the truth. He is been insulted so many times by the shameless scammers. JUSTWISE, I admire you. Please accept my hand of friendship. You are a very epitome of honesty. Keep it up

Thanks for your kind words, their insults means nothing to me and i'm not in a hurry to back down. Some of them are calling the name of God but at the same time they are quite happy to pay for fake medical report and expect miracle from God, your nephew will learn from experience, hopefully some naive victims will get their money back.

It beats my imagination to think that some educated Nigerians could be taken to the cleaner in this daylight robbery.

If I am required to keep d £5,200 as evidence of maintenance fund in my account, nd d exchange rate used in accessing the money in my account is 1GBP = 260 Naira, which makes the £5,200 = 1,352,000 naira. And I showed that I had £5,400 = 1,404,000 Naira in my account during d 28days stuff, nd after I lodged my visa application I withdrew below the £5,400 = 1,404,000 naira I showed in my bank statement but not below the maintenance fund £5,200 = 1,352,000 naira, will it have a negative effect when my bank statement is been verified by d ECO?

Forget about the exchange rate or anything else, if you are required to have £5200 and after you submitted ur application u went on to withdrew below that £5200 then IF the embassy finds out ur visa will be refused.
