Justwise I disagree i think the embassies should be doing more there should be a policy in place as at present it tends to differ with every case
for instance in the Uk embassy, applicants are not even informed about their ban until in some cases when they make another application

Like i said b4, Nigerians will always try no matter the amount of warning.

Am yet to see any embassy application centre that puts a small signage outside stating: DO NOT SUBMIT FORGED DOCUMENTS. YOU WILL GET BANNED FROM APPLYING.

Like I stated, when I applied, I had real reason to, but the dude at the desk where i was applying, who happens to be the VISA rep. to me, just told me, don't do it like this, it won 't work, do it like this, take this documents, put it, it'll work, blah blah blah,
Once more, Thank God for nairaland and members like yourselves that's made it more clear. it's pretty pretty easy for any Nigerian to believe, VISA process is done by somebody somewhere called ' uncle london ' , very easy, cos there's very little information to help out.

More people are not aware of the implication of submitting fake documents. I remember the first time I ever applied for a visa, it's the guy at the VISA office that gave me documents, and advised it's going to sail through, These was years ago, I didn't even bother any more, but my point is, these EMBASSIES need to do more publicity to help improve people's knowledge abt the effects of submitting documents that are forged.
But I doubt they will, as they continue to rake in money on this basis.
One will continue to appreciate Nairaland for the quality contents that's helped improved one's perspective to these matters.

Embassies do warn applicants about the implication of submitting fake documents but Nigerians will always want to use short cut, we believe so much in prayers that God will blind the eyes of a white man.

even on this site people commend your efforts on how your fish out fraudulent people, which in some part is providing information to ignorant people, hence why the embassy needs to inform
it should be thier moral obligation
well I guess they dont have any industry standards or regulators so they are getting away with it so far

Do you really believe that the Canadian embassy did not give him reason(s) why they refused him visa in those 3 occasions?

Many embassies don't tell you, they fustrate u by keep refusing u untill u stop trying to be smart. Uk will ban u for 10yrs without telling u.

But come-on! You don't need to be told that u submitted fake documents, after submitting 17!!!!!!?

why did the embassy choose the 4th time not the 1st, 2nd or 5th or 6th time to inform him
its either zero tolerance on fraud or nothing at all by not informing him at the 1st instance they part encouraged him because he was obviously oblivious and didnt think he was doing anything wrong

Unless the applicant chops his / her fore finger / thumb off and couriers it to Nigeria? Any e-passport produced without the above elements is a forgery. And anyone professing to obtain one on anyone's behalf is a con artist and thief.

My brother that embassy is a scam, i was warned but refused a very good advice, the refusal rate is very high. getting the american student visa is far easier cos even if the american embassy refuses you they will tell u a genuine reason why u were refused, but the polish embassy, they refuse you and you ask them why, they will tell you no reason, they just had to refuse and and you cant even appeal, afetr stamping refusal in your passort, they refuse you for no reason, up till now three month after and the school has still not refunded my 3000euro,
out of about 50 student visa applicants, its just one person they will issue the visa,
